“She’s not like other girls!” We’re all familiar with this phrase that became an internet phenomenon in the early 2010s. Girls who love eating pizza, who drink beer but never gain weight, girls who look like models without wearing makeup and girls who are just “one of the boys” because women never want to be friends with them.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with being unique, and we all have special quirks that will make us stand out. But the idea of claiming that you’re “not like other girls” doesn’t just celebrate one person’s uniqueness, it also implies that all other women are a monolith. And it perpetuates the idea that interesting women who may not like stereotypically feminine things are rare.

And as a woman who's getting her masters and doesn't want kids, f*ck you I am better than you. Read a f*cking book.
Obviously, women didn't like being slaves trapped in the house. If you want to play frontier-mom, go for it. But women are just like men, we all have different talents and skills. I can rebuild an engine and code. I prefer to be a member of the 21st century not the 6th.

A few years ago, the posts may have been more focused on girls who want everyone to know that they don’t wear makeup, don’t like “girly” things and don’t ever plan on getting married.
Today, however, there seems to be an influx of women posting online about how they’re not like other girls because they’re not feminists. Trad wives are becoming increasingly popular online, and today, lots of “pick me” girls seem to be conservative, anti-abortion and really into drinking raw milk for some reason.

As a woman who doesn't get into dressing up and gossiping, I admit that I have a harder time finding female friends that I have things in common with but they're out there - I've found a few. Everyone is unique and special and humans are all different regardless of gender. Men are not more exciting than women.
I got guy friends and girl friends and both are so cool in different ways, to be honest.

I feel bad for people like this because it’s not entirely their fault, they’ve been conditioned by the media (cough cough patriarchy) to think that all women are airhead bimbos with no self worth or value outside being a sex object. Then you get the quiverful weirdos, who ARE actively harmful by being Typhoid Mary and trying to push regressive views. The first grow out of it usually.
