I was bullied in junior high and high school. You're right when you say you may never get over it. I'm 65 and some of the things that happened still affect my relationships. I hope that you'll be fine one day. You are probably a very nice person. Best wishes!

I can tell you from experience that it will always bother you. But you can get past their meanness and find your way to happiness. Choose to define yourself and don’t put up with people who don’t respect you. I promise there are plenty of people who will.

I was bullied in school (throughout). Left school and was fine. Turns out that it had next to nothing to do with school. Now, I live in a community. One of the members LIVES to bully others. The rest of the community is afraid of becoming her next victim and kiss up to her, admitting only privately that they are afraid of her. The bullying started 7 years ago. And hasn’t stoppped At age 74, I’m right back to being a near daily victim.

I know what it's like, always feeling different, or made to feel like something is wrong with you. It took a long time for me to understand that those people will be out of my life, while I am the one who will have to live with me all the way to the end, so I better learn to like (maybe even love) this person because she is all I have. If I don't love me, no one else will, and I cannot depend on others to always be there to do so.
