Actually, I really think she (also!) has a very beautiful and charming face and eyes with cute freckles when she was hospitalised and lost her hair due to chemo treatment. Though, thank God, she's now cancer free!

Take the younger version, put her in good lighting, lose the glasses and braces, put on ridiculous eyebrows and photoshop her eyes bigger and you have the older version. THis one is most photography and makeup technique than anything else. It's like those muscular before/after photos where they might've been taken hours apart.

Jesus people. Do you guys understand how "posing" works? Because she was laughing in that one picture doesn't define her entire existence at that time as bubbly and happy and fun loving. And just because she is simmering and done up in the second one she isn't a psychopathic Russian spy. It looks like you didn't have a care in the world when you were younger, so maybe grab back some of that carefree attitude, and you'll lose some of the body issues. I know personally that you can never get rid of all that self-consciousness that followed you from your younger years.

Pretty sure it's a hedgehog, I was just reading something about echidna, and it seems like they have stiff needles, unlike the hedgehog, who is the cutest ever!! Also, it's a bit hard to judge the transformation, since she was so young when the first pic was taken.

I grew up hating the way I looked and depressed. I still smiled in every pic because hey, camera! But if you're grown up and taking a sharp, artsy, confident photo, sometimes a big grin just isn't the look you're aiming for at the moment! I am much happier now than I was. I still smile in most pics, but not always depending on what I'm going for! This is just one picture.

You are lovely, and Good job on the weight loss. I think the problem people are having with the eyebrows is the drastic color difference between hair and brows. They are a great shape, maybe just a tad darker though.

I'm going to make a suggestion. If you get a layered haircut I think it would make an even bigger difference. I think you might like it. I don't know, maybe you're growing it out for something but I am feeling like if you have your brows shaped and get your hair layered and cut then you're going to have a third photo for us. Don't want to argue. Just to say that layered haircuts do not always work for everybody. I have very thin/lifeless hair and if I layer it it only seems more flat / lifeless. Without layers I have more beautiful hair with a little more volume. Layered hair is often suggested for more volume. But does not work for anybody. I am not sure this is the case with this person. Just wanted to add. :-) no hard feelings!

I'm doing "full natural" almost all the time, but mostly because I have no idea how to do good make-up on my face. Honestly, you are doing an amazing job. You kept natural shades just to brighten your face and complement it with a touch of well matched colour on your lips, just to give the overall a nice "kick". Mine Is The Opposite I Haven't Changed Much. Photo 1: Prom 2011 Age 17. Photo 2 - 4 Were To Open In A Six Month Span In 2016 Age 22. Last Photo Was Just To Open In February 2018 Age 23.

Most of these ppl just grew up. Happens all the time ! Very few are "amazing transformations". But the ones that are, VERY COOL !!!

I'm very happy for the people who have truly gone through some difficult changes (changing their gender, beating cancer – you go, guys!), But I really can't appreciate some of the photos. Captions like "be careful who you are mean to" are problematic... Why? Because they might become hot someday? Should we only respect people who are attractive? It's sad that some people only feel confident and start loving themselves only when they learn how to do make-up, lose weight, or buy fancy clothes. Please don't get me wrong, I really don't want to insult the people in the photos. I just think we need to raise awareness about how we are still judging people (including ourselves!) by the looks.

I don't get this people! You were fine, you are all too hard on yourself. Also teenage years can be a bit weird for most.

Would they show their photo's if they were "uglier" than before? Probably not. The way these people present themselves looks like some kind of revenge. Revenge on what? It shows how this world values people for stupid things like looks and money. Such a waste of time. I pray that all these youngsters learn to accept themselves for WHO they are, not how they look.

it's a big 6 years in your life, I mean if you look at a new born compared to them aged 6, you'd see a similar difference, it all kinda slows down after 21, but still, some happy lookin people in the list.

The vast majority of these people definitely have more issues now than they did before. The before pics mostly look happy and fun whereas the afters are all makeup and serious/duck faced and trying to make that perfect Insta-image. Relax and enjoy the ride, people. It's funny that the light skinned people use a darker skinned photo in the after, whereas the darker skinned people use a lighter skinned photo in the after. Grass is always greener I guess.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like the 'moral' of most of these before and after pictures is that you need to be super thin and wear fancy clothes and lots of makeup to be pretty. And the more people adhere to these standards set by the fashion industry, the pressure on everyone else to follow the same standards just increases, which is b******t. People can be pretty no matter if they are skinny or not quite so skinny, no matter if they use makeup or not, and no matter what kind of clothes they choose to wear. Not talking about the MTF or FTM transitions here. I think it's great that trans people have the guts to follow their true selves and become who they were supposed to be all along.
