This angers me so much, as it happens sooooo often. I have several disabled friends who can all tell stories about something similar happening to them. One of them uses a wheelchair, but also drives a sports car and regularly has people stop, ready to harangue him while he parks his car, only to scamper off embarrassed when he gets his chair out.

I have the same issue I have 12 very large working Alaskan Malamutes they really don't like living in doors as they over heat so quickly they have out door kennels with shelter for them to play when the weather isn't great. It's been snowing and had a Nige saying I was being cruel leaving them out we took pictures of them all out on there backs with snow on them they live it

Most dog breeds can be outside in cold weather, because their fur isolates their body heat. Literally, they do not cool down, because the heat cannot escape. That's why it's important not to shave certain breeds: they lose the isolation and get affected by weather.

Amen to that. I had cops show up and try to take me to court over leaving my chow out. She slept in snow banks, had a doggie door to the garage with a bed and food and water. She slept indoors at night. Fffing nosy neighbors. All went fine after a visit from animal cruelty.

same here. I used to live in South Florida and I hated it when I'd see those dogs being walked by owners with practically nothing on. Meanwhile the dog is practically dying of heat and the pavement is blistering hot.

Look. I love dogs. I do. Especially fluffy, sweet, fully trained ones. But I am gonna be devils advocate here: It is obvious long haired dogs can be outside. But is he barking because he misses you? Plus, I don't see a fence. What does he get up to when you are not home?

Ugh! We had the same trouble with our husky, except with repeated complaints (phone calls) to the SPCA, resulting in repeated visits from the SPCA officers, including a write-up threatening removal of our dog if we did not comply with their orders. Upon compliance, which included keeping him indoors much more than he was accustomed, within a month, his health deteriorated, and he passed away. He was 15.

We had a Huskie when I lived in Reno, Nevada. She had puppies outside, under the porch, in the snow. When we brought them inside, she very patiently took all of them outside again, back into the little den she had made in the snow. They were all perfectly happy out there, and we learned our lesson.

Chapter 2: After a few weeks of letting our Huskie mom stay outside in the snow with her pups, we had to finally insist that she move her family back inside. This happened one morning when i went outside and saw a trail of blood across the snow . She had somehow found a deer's head that some hunter had left outside, and she dragged it home, antlers and all, for her pups to snack on. What a mess! So, it was back inside for all of them. She didn't protest this time.

My Husky loves the cold and snow. Came home one night and there was a little mound of snow near the house. It was Shy underneath the snow all curled up. She would last about five minutes in the house and want out. Some people just don't understand the breed of dog.'

gods i always hate those if its too cold for you/its too cold for them post/memes. i have big dogs, saint Bernard, Bernese mountain dogs and want others like mastiff and Newfoundland dogs, huskies all rough coats. this types of dogs love the cold. and usually the memes have dogs like this instead of small short haired dogs. my saint loved to dig in the snow then stick her head into the hole

my malamute would not come in the house either..dug himself a tunnel and was a happy puppy....northern dogs...huskies and malamutes....they have vents in their noses that heat up the air before it goes to their lungs....3 layers of coat in the winter time..and they were developed in places like baffin island...Some dogs are ok in the cold.

Something similar happened to my mom. The downstairs neighbor left her an outright agressive note on the door accusing her of moving furniture every morning between 6 and 7 am and threatening to call the cops. My mom is 62 years old and tiny and has no intention of moving furniture around for sport. The ones moving c**p around were the neighbors above HER apartment!

I've been in both situations... where nosy kids interrupt my rest and where MY kid interrupt other's, and frankly, it's life... some times my 1YO kid wakes up too early crying his lungs out and there's nothing I can do to avoid it, just try to calm him down as soon as possible (cause I want to go back to sleep aswell). I understand my neighbors get annoyed by this but, there are two options, move out or understand that these things happen. Once, one lady neighbor even knocked my door offering her help and asking if everything was fine with my kid, that was a nice gesture from her and, I think, one of the best ways to approach this kind of situations.

I once had a neighbor that did something like this and I put my speakers in the window facing their house (I have massive JBLs - much bigger than their 'boom box') and played music for a good 2 hours very loudly. My neighbors always bang the wall even small sounds occurs. I have two toddlers. Just imagine the banging. Watched a movie last Friday. She called cops. Finally fedup with her we decided to move. Meet with our landlord to give notice. Long story to short , my neighbors are moving now.

I don't understand some of those 'neighbors' who were served those 'neighborly' notes and can still say "I wish they could knock my door and talked to me directly". If you're being an inconsiderate prick how do you expect other people to come and talk to you about it? I'm not sure how it is in the US (or UK) but in my country most people would just serve those notes because talking to those inconsiderate neighbors carries a risk of being confronted and being told "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!".

Yeah, that's pretty much how it goes in the US. They're just as rude in person. Sometimes the unruly neighbors use physical violence. Notes are better, not as unpredictable.

I swear one of my neighbors was dismembering a body the other morning at 6:24. Loud sawing, the shower/tub being turned on and off, lots of banging. No screaming so either the poor person was already dead or they gagged them. No large black trash bags in the garbage. They must have moved the body.

Only bad neighbors I can think of is the couple that thought it was a grand idea to have sex in the garden, which have no bushes or fence to hide them, in the freaking open among houses with children during summerbreak and only a thin blanket for cover. I saw this while hangin out some carpets. I whistle as loud as I could and ducked down. I can hear the scramble and then I hear a woman screaming. Another neighbor had walked by and seen the couples in all their glory. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath in my parents bedroom. They moved away a week later.

Yeah, that's pretty much how it goes in the US. They're just as rude in person. Sometimes the unruly neighbors use physical violence. Notes are better, not as unpredictable.

I swear one of my neighbors was dismembering a body the other morning at 6:24. Loud sawing, the shower/tub being turned on and off, lots of banging. No screaming so either the poor person was already dead or they gagged them. No large black trash bags in the garbage. They must have moved the body.

Only bad neighbors I can think of is the couple that thought it was a grand idea to have sex in the garden, which have no bushes or fence to hide them, in the freaking open among houses with children during summerbreak and only a thin blanket for cover. I saw this while hangin out some carpets. I whistle as loud as I could and ducked down. I can hear the scramble and then I hear a woman screaming. Another neighbor had walked by and seen the couples in all their glory. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath in my parents bedroom. They moved away a week later.

Often people are simply oblivious, and an offended neighbor trying to gently point out the problem is effective.

I'm guessing none of these people are going through what I have to put up with when living above a village shop that every night around 9pm they slam the fire exit door to the bin yard outside causing my whole room to shake.

In communal living, people often forget they are not alone in the building, this is better than yelling at them to cease&disist!

Seems a lot of people here have issues with neighbors who are having sex (loud sex) and others who are letting their dogs take a s**t everywhere.
