If she'd said 2 yrs I would have believed her, because kids love to shout out whatever new word they've learned at the most embarrassing moments, but 8 months, really. At 8 months I'd assume even a "mama" was just wishful thinking about random babble.

My first child could recite Encyclopedia Brittanica backwards at age 2. UNDERATE My first child could recite the coplete St James Bible backwards at age 2. In Latin. Underwater. While eating a loaf of bread.
