30 Parents Share How Their Kids Casually Dropped Some Creepy Sentences That Sent Chills Down Their Spines
Before babies learn to talk in a real language like English, they babble and coo, playing with sound. That's baby talk, something that sounds similar all over the world. But they get good fast.
Of course, it depends on the situation, but according to experts, most babies are able to say a few simple words such as "mama" and "dadda" around their first birthday. Even more, they know what they're saying! By the time they're 3, babies expand their vocabulary rapidly, and "make-believe" play spurs an understanding of symbolic and abstract language like "now," feelings like "sad," and spatial concepts like "in." They also learn how to scare the poo out of their parents.
When Dan Schreiber shared a particularly creepy thing his child told him, moms and dads quickly expanded his tweet into a strangely funny thread, full of lines and concepts you'd think exist only in horror movies. Here are some of the best!

In the woods behind my home there are three graves (there used to be an old hospital at this spot and they sometimes buried patients on the hospital grounds.) One day while out for a run I jumped the little fence surrounding the graves to check them out. According to the tombstones there were two men and a women burried there. I went home and didn't speak about my detour. But that night my then 4 year old daughter awoke from a nightmare. She dreamd two men and a women were standing in her room staring at her. It's been ten years since this incident. Fortunately she never had the dream again. And I have never gone near those graves again.
My son when was 3 found a beer cap once. He showed it and said 'look mommy, when I was big and you were little like me, I let you drink from it'! The only person who did that was my grandpa - I was his beloved granddaughter and he died long before my son was born. I allways new that he is somewere around me, too many good 'coincidences' in my life :)
Creepy. Even better if the taxi driver was close to a fireman who used to visit that shop regularly
Why everyone nowadays is so freaked out about remembering past lives?
nowadays? do you mean like since always? it's nothing new, i can assure you.

"A good place to start is asking them open-ended questions and actually being present to hear out their answers," Stone said.
"Kids are notorious for clamming up and pretending like they have nothing going on in their minds, but parents can encourage them to open up by asking them who, what, where, why questions. Imagine you are a TV presenter interviewing them if that helps! Active listening really helps which is when you reflect or repeat back what your child is saying and what they may be feeling to make sure you understand - especially when they come out with oddball statements included in this article!"
I can't decide whether to scream, laugh, or have my own panic attack.
All three at the same time. That's what I did.

So times extreme trauma, is said to carry over with your soul, to your new life. Kids, are full of pre- current life information .. little boy in the UK, remembered as past life on an island, where his family had lived. The cottage was still there, still owned by his previous family. He, as a young boy, drowned or died on the island, and he could show his parents where. They were able to contact the family and a couple of them met the boy and his family, and went into the cottage, and talked. The boy's memories were spot on, and he knew to older men's names. How cool is this?
I wonder if she was more creeped out by the whole thing or grateful and touched that he apparently chose her
But whether kids are giving their parents the creeps or cracking them up, people outside the family can have a difficult time understanding the little Shakespeares without a translation from mom and dad.
"I think we (the parents) get what our kids are saying because we share a deep connection — they are already a little bit of us. We also have a vested interest to understand them and be on their side, they are our kids after all. Also, parents have a very good way of humoring their children, which can seem to an outsider like we know what they are saying (when really we don't!)," Stone revealed.

Kicked all the time. He continued playing with the beads, and said, "You know, when I was in one of these, I didn't have any room to move my legs." The following week, he said, "Nonni, you know when I came out, I had to turn." Exactly how babies are born. He has also asked my daughter who walked by his bathroom. And once, while she was cleaning her car, she pulled a photo of my stepfather, who Adored her. He had never met him. He died a good decade or more before he was born. He casually looked at the photo and said, "Oh, that's grampa!" She asked him if he knew his name. He said "Yes. Grampa Mike." Spot on, and I truly hope he keeps his gift as the years pass.

My dad told us a story about his youngest brother: when my uncle was 5, he asked my grandmother where did he come from. She replied something like "God sent you here from Heaven". Then my uncle asked "Is that where the blue-eyed boy lives?". My grandmother had had another baby before him, a stillborn; the only boy with blue eyes of all her children.
Just like these pictures, Talya Stone highlighted that children say all sorts of strange things, many of which may not be true.
"Kids like to try things on when it comes to words, phrases, and ideas. So if a child says something creepy to you, try not to take it too seriously, but at the same time, it's important not to mock them and hear them out," she said.
In fact, you should not criticize their wrong words. Instead, help them say it properly — for example, if a baby points to a cat and says "Ca!" say: "Yes, it's a cat." For more tips on how to help your sweetie talk, check out this page.

One time, my mom and I were driving past a cemetery at around sundown and two bikers (don’t ask me why people decided the graveyard was the perfect place for a bicycle ride because idk) came out. I turned to my mom and said "They’re coming to get you, Barbara." She nearly crashed the car and yelled at me the entire ride home. Worth it.

The Sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame arrived in Kingston on November 21, 1841. They established their very first mission in Ontario and, by the same token, one of the first English schools: Notre Dame Convent. In 1967, after over one hundred twenty-five years, the convent closed. Not Notre-Dame de Paris.
When my son was 2ish and I would come to read him stories he would sometimes say, "Oh, you don't have to do that, my other Mom already tucked me in". 😲

Sounds more like separation anxiety. She could be stressed if she just started kindergarten or something.
A scientist in Canada discovered memories ARE passed on thru our genes. We are a physical being and this explains why some people have these experiences. We used to think left handed peole were witches, NOW we know it is a genetic trait. There is no magic involved.
My daughter talked about "friends" she only saw when I was not their and mainly at night. It makes one wonder if the very young do have memories of previous lives. Scientifically explained by memories of the Mother's the cells passed to the child
The problem with the Genetic Memory theory is that some of the memories seem to come from outside the lineage.

Load More Replies...We need to encourage parents to encourage their kids to talk more when they say things like this—-and record as much as possible. Then do a bit of research, based on information in the recordings, and see if you can find out who they were. I’m convinced that feelings of déjà vu are remnants of these memories surfacing—-but not remaining long enough for all the information to come out—-later in life when you happen to be in a place you remember from a past life.
This is very common, most kids only remember their past lives up until around age four.
I think there seems to be a child's time for these things to happen and 'disappear?' after about 5yrs old? I'm actually quite fascinated.
The same thing happened to my sister. They were traveling and went to a town she’d never been. She felt like she’d been there before and even knew where certain things were. She said that there was a cafe in this area before. She even knew the name. Now there’s a store there. They did some digging with a resident and sure enough , 50 years ago there was a coffee shop by that name over 50 years ago, it was leveled for the store. She was under 50 at that time.
She’s really sensitive to these things. After my father died she saw his spirit in the house.
Load More Replies...I lived my life like that well into my late 30s before it stopped. Really used to freak me out when I would be traveling with others to a place I had never been and we would pass by a place that was in perfect detail to a place I had been in a dream, minus the people!
i had that several times too. it's very weird to go somewhere you never been before and see things that you remember from a dream and knowing the way without looking at a map.
I did this in Venice when I was 14. Wanted to get a specific journal and I led my family to the shop well off San Marco square.
I dreamt of an ex's former house when he was a kid. I was about 13 or 14 when we dated. I even literally dreamt of the house and its complete detail inside and out, where it was located, the outside of the houses next to it as well as the forest that was next to it.

I totally didn't get it. Thank you "none of your business" for explaining.
This happens, no, wait, this no longer happens after a certain age because parents start telling children it is not real and just their imagination. Prior to that negative influence, their minds are open to all the possibilities of the universe. Been that child and still remember some of it, and sad that I now have doubts about the reality of it because of my parents. Why would you doubt a toddler describing an ancestor they have never previously seen photos of and you have never mentioned?
new (and some old) studies actually support fleas ticks and lice on humans as being the culprits and not those carried by rats.spread too fast to go through extra loop of rat transmission, and lacking evidence of massive rat die off), since that's what everyone seems to be commenting on here instead of talking about how completely creepy this is!!
My cousin used to have "people come to see him" when he was young, he was quite frightened of the experience and eventually told them to leave him alone and stop coming. They did.

My family believes a lot in spirituality, and my sister and mother once went to see someone related to this. The person told them that they've been connected for a long time and in previous lifes my sister has been my mother's mother. Funny thing, my sister has tried to "control" my mother's life since she was a kid, like imagine a 5 year old asking her mother "where are you going? With who? At what time will you be coming home??"
Okay, yeah, I'll be heading out now. Don't need this crap in my head all day.
It was your teen learning how to Astral Project. You should ask them if they know how.
For several months around age 4 or so my son was quite distressed that his little sister was lost in the forest and couldn't find us. He didn't have a little sister at the time, she was born about a year and a half later.
Wouldn't be great if we die and go to a magic forest while we wait for our next family to be ready for us? 😍

I always wanted to go to Italy, when i was a teenager. For my 18 birthday my family offered me a trip there. I went to a lot of places in Italy, but i really felt something different in Veneza (Venice?), i really felt that it was a special place for me, but with no special reason.. almost 10 years later i went to see someone who could see our past lifes that were relevant for this life. People nowadays are so close minded to others beliefs or opinions that it is beyond difficult to have a civil conversation with them as there only goal is to force you to believe as they do! When my nephew was about 3 years old, he would talk about Teresa, the lady he use to be. How she loved sitting on her big white porch.
That's quite entertaining, even though. of course, it doesn't mean that any of those kids had previous lives or something like this. Children absorb everything like a sponge - books, movies, glimpses of tv shows, pieces of conversations, and have a really vivid imagination. I remember I was telling some stories as a kid like I had two sisters and then died at the age of six, but I also remember I made those stories up.
When I was in my early teens I had a strange dream with my parents talking about a guy they knew. In the background of the dream was a noise that I can only describe as like a rubber ball bouncing in a suspended plastic drain pipe. A couple of days later I fell off my skateboard and badly broke my leg. The docotr came out to our house and I had to go to hospital but since the ambulance were busy my parents took me in our own vehicle. Because i was in a lot of pain the doctor had given me entinox to numb the pain. Right away that sound was in my head and I was finishing my parents sentences which totally freaked them out meanwhile I'm thinking nothing off it at the time, but looking back it was strange. I've never had anything like that happen to me before or since
Remember kids have eyes and ears and are able to absorb information. There are studies that say children can hear what’s going on outside whilst they are in the womb so basically even things you don’t think they’ve heard or seen they probably have and things you’ve forgotten they haven’t
