Load More Replies...He brought so much joy to our screens. Gone to soon, RIP Robin Williams.
How odd for me to see a tribute to Robin's roles that doesn't include Mork, THE role that made him famous and the very first time I was lucky enough to see him (on "Happy Days" and then on his own series with Pam Dawber as Mindy). He was one of a kind, that's for sure.
Oh My God... That breaks me... I'm one of the lucky ones....Aladdin will always be the best Disney movie... no contest.... Vale Robin Williams Vale Gilbert Gottfried <3 <3
I was lucky enough to have grown up with him in Night At The Museum and later on Mrs. Doubtfire. Seeing this made me sad and miss him. 💔
The more we find out about how much Robin Williams gave of himself to others, the more obvious it becomes that he just couldn't do it anymore. Few people have such generous souls when it comes to recognizing pain and need in others. I hope he knew how loved he was.
One man who made me laugh without actually saying anything, a lost genius of comedy.
Joker and Harley are a toxic couple, while Morticia and Gomez are a healthy one!
That was a sneaky way they lampooned people. Everything about the Addams is opposite typical America; the parents have a healthy, visually affectionate, loving relationship while the others of the time could barely even acknowledged their relationship.

When we were little, we used to make the world our playground, let our ideas run free, and find magic in the most mundane scenarios. We were almost hardwired to be curious and adventurous, but unfortunately, the process of socialization and schooling might have robbed us of our imagination and caused us to become less creative over time.
"As we get older, our lives become more complicated and we take on more responsibility," Dr. Jesse Matthews told Bored Panda. "Since this becomes our focus, we have less time available for fun, and we tend to view play as something that can’t happen until after work."
However, amusing ourselves and goofing around was one of our primary focuses as children. The psychologist explained that we equate having fun with happiness and view our childhood as when that was more plentiful. "And because we had so much less responsibility and fewer worries than we have as adults, we think of that period as carefree as well," he added.
The story is to long for a comment, but it's a sad story of him falling out of the limelight

When I need to de-stess and relax I put on the Bob Ross channel. His shows are so soothing.
Bob Ross was the real deal. And I'm not ashamed to say I miss his show being new episodes and not all reruns. After a shitty day his show was a pick-me-up. If dude ever had a bad day you'd of never know it.
A couple of interesting facts: 1) His hair style was a result of him trying to save money on haircuts. It became his company's logo and he could no longer cut his hair even though he wanted to. 2) He took no money for his paintings. He donated them to PBS and they auctioned it off for significant amounts. So Bob Ross was actually a huge donor to public funded television.
"These tend to be truths for many people, though nostalgia certainly plays a role," Dr. Matthews said and added that we often see our childhoods as happy and carefree, even if they might have been fairly stressful or difficult. "Because of nostalgia, we may be more likely to remember good things or things that match our views on that period, rather than some of the more negative things. It’s one of the ways people romanticize the past, which they may also do for their high school, college, or single young adult days."

Load More Replies...But dwelling on the past can easily distract us from the present. According to the psychologist, people can sometimes get so obsessed with their childhood memories that they forget to lead fulfilling lives today. "Like anything else, you don’t want to take this to an extreme," he suggested. "There is a difference between remembering or reconnecting with the past and living in the past."
"You can’t go back, nor can you recreate your childhood, college, or any other time in your life. The thing I always say to people is to embrace growth and move on in life, but don’t forget who you were before. The past will always be part of you, and memories are proof of that. Hopefully, you have a lot of good ones and you will have the opportunity to create many more."

Although stumbling upon memes about your childhood can hit you with a blast from the past and make you nostalgic about the good old days, they evoke positive emotions too. You see, Dr. Matthews stated that our memories aren’t as good as we like to think they are. "We often have incomplete or inaccurate memories of things from our past. Much of the detail is there, but we may not be able to access it readily, unless it is triggered by something. This is part of why seeing things like pictures or jokes actually triggers can be exciting. Hearing a childhood joke, seeing a photo of us with a friend or sibling at a certain age, or hearing an old song can bring back not only memories, but positive feelings."

As we get older and gain different experiences that help us construct new values and morals, we sometimes look at our past selves from a distance. Dr. Matthews told us it’s certainly interesting to him as a psychologist to study how we look back on our childhood behavior. "For one, it has diagnostic value when I am trying to assess whether a person could have ADHD or for how long they may have been depressed or anxious."
"More than that, however, it gives insight into our personalities," he continued. "If you were a talkative and outgoing child, chances are you still are today. Same thing if you were quiet and reserved." The psychologist noted that looking back is also useful if a person feels lost or is trying to reconnect with who they have been in their lives. "For example, sometimes people get so bogged down with responsibility and things they have to do, that they no longer engage in hobbies, have many interests, or do much other than work. Reflecting on the past might help a person to remember who they were before and what they enjoyed, possibly to change course in the present."
I loved this game as a kid. It's too bad that they took it out of Windows. I heard it had something to do with it being designed for a specific Windows version, and they didn't want to completely rebuild it for newer ones because it was free and therefore wouldn't make them any money.
I recall entering a café in Brussels in the very early '70's and seeing a cabinet with a TV screen in it. All it had was this white vertical line and a dot bouncing left to right and back again. I have never grown up since....
PONG was our first video game when I was a kid! It hooked up to the tv. It might seem like an easy game to play, but once it sped up it was hard!

Load More Replies...What I want to know is, who are the people who ruined Cartoon Network?
I would argue that In The Heat of The Night with Sidney Poitier is the first black superhero movie. Poitier plays a black detective confronted by a racist plantation owner who slaps Poitier. Although it wasn't in the script, Poitier said that the condition for him to stay in the movie is that he slaps the dude back even harder. The director gave in. This was 1967. It was a huge "cultural shock". It was the first movie in which a black man is presented as a self-aware, self-protecting, dignified individual who will not put up with racism. Sidney Poitier is the superhero.
You people are acting like Shaft (1971) doesn't even exist! They say this cat Shaft is a bad mother ... shut your mouth! But, I'm talkin' about Shaft.
Not to mention Steel, starring Shaq. It was lousy, but it was still a superhero movie starring a Black man.
I only watch Blade 3 for Ryan Reynolds. Wesley Snipes is amazing in them all though, plot wasn't too great in 3, as is the case for most triquels
We’re well aware of how easy it is to get absorbed by our daily troubles and how life can become busy and tiring. As adults, we might lose our sense of freedom and feel that our tendency to self-censor ourselves puts a big creative block on our thinking. To avoid going round in circles, we can try to reconnect and pay attention to that little voice somewhere deep inside us. After all, our curiosity, lightheartedness, and positivity may be slightly different today but it’s still there, waiting to be uncovered.
Don't forget Steve Irwin! I saw one with him included :)

Some you may know: Bamm-Bamm Rubble, Hamton J. Pig (Tiny Toons), Droopy, Atom Ant, Muttley, Pixie, Boo Boo, Ranger Smith, Ricochet Rabbit, Dr. Benton Quest (Jonny's father, I believe), and good old Papa Smurf. neilfannin...af1a7a.jpg
Feels like this movie came out a few years ago to me. Years go by faster once you have your own kids and no longer are one.
I was very disappointed in that movie. Saw it at a drive-in though. I'm one of the few who isn't annoyed by Scrappy. And I'm sorry but Scooby wouldn't just abandon his nephew by the side of the road. This is a hill I will die on.
"Connecting with our inner child is a wonderful way to reconnect with ourselves, especially if we have felt lost, stuck, or in a rut in life," Dr. Matthews explained. "Childhood is simple, compared to adulthood, and it’s in the complexity of life that we often forget things like being mindful, creative, having fun, or not worrying about everything. And being able to do these things, especially when life isn’t always easy, is a form of freedom."

so we have these metal gates we close over every night, indicating that the shop is closed. and every other night someone will push open the gates and come in. sometimes they ask 'are you open?' and instead of being nice now, i just go 'no! that's why the gates were closed!' i have a coworker who used to really politely say 'no, i'm really sorry.' and now she also just yells about the gates :P
I remember working at a grocery store during one summer in college. I always held a special level of contempt for those people that showed up just before midnight (closing). I was talking with someone else that worked there and said something to the effect of "don't you just hate those people". She said that she loved her late nighters without a hint of sarcasm. No one else was around so it's not like she had to cover what I was saying for a customer or anything. The only thing I could think of was "oh just bite me".
I pulled up to work one morning, I hadn't even gotten out of my car, when some woman who had followed me into my complex after I unlocked the gates say, 'are you open?' I was still getting out of my car, hadn't even gotten close to the doors of the shop, let alone open them. Told her we open in half an hour, she wanted to know why I couldn't open now, I was here.
Just remember! It’s much better to do these kinds of things, with a sense of voice and rationality😉

Owner of crash nebula on ice? Not right! Not right? Thats right!
Especially the artwork for the monsters in the other dimensions Bill brings out. "You deserve a prize, here have a head that's always screaming".
Load More Replies...Always fall for that Ren and Stimpy crazy..... still watch that sh*t ;)
Cartoons are still good and Creative. Millennials are just tripping on nostalgia
Who else can hear "OOGA BOOGA BOOGA.... heh...heh...heh... stupid Dog." One of my favorite shows. Love Courage.
"You're Not Perfect" is probably the reason I have such severe anxiety over everything I do. :')
Oh man I grew up with sooo many shows as a kid that wouldn't fly today. I mean seriously Ren & Stimpy used to be on nickelodeon and no way in hell that'd fly today. MTV used to mostly play music but late at night they had Liquid Television which introduced me to some real crazy animated c**p like The Head, The Maxx and Aeon Flux.
Funnily enough, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fiddle with it” is a plotline/song in ttg
Load More Replies...I still can't believe we got a movie with all three of them.
Load More Replies...I heard when the latest Spiderman movie came out, Maguire and Garfield snuck into a movie theater in disguise to watch the show with the fans.
Cat in the hat was my childhood man no wonder I love chaos and anarchy
Because the Grinch just had to grow his heart. The Cat in the Hat was evilly mischievous but needed scapegoats.
Might want to swap out Ezra Miller for someone else. Eek. Dude be crazy.
swap out Ezra Miller, he's literally insane, been on a trip punching people across Hawaii last I recall. (yet they let him keep his role in Fantastic Beasts and not Johnny. huh. e_e )
Might take awhile before Ezra wll be able to take part. They've been having some serious mental health issues but will probably get fines and jail instead of the help they actually need.
Hard to tell with the hat on. The only differences were Lil's hairbow and the fact that she had a dress and Phil had shorts.

I like the episode when he was so upset that he couldn't find the Sumatran Rhino and considered opening a Haberdashery for a career instead.
What about the original gta on pc in birds eye view! AWESOMENESS 👌
I am past this fear. Turned 40 and in the beast's belly for a while now.
I’m 61, and apparently have become the beast. I’m not ready for this.
Load More Replies...How old is this meme, though? My daughter was born in 1990 and she's 32, so...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! (I'm safe, I'm young, the big bad 30 will never get me! *sweats in 24yrs*)
I just saw it for the first time during lock down. I'm 38.
Load More Replies...I am still trying to find the damn cartoon that still makes me say "Gesundheit" when someone sneezes. The cartoon was in English, but the character would say it in German, often to her smart brother. She wore a purple dress (?) and was kinda triangle-shaped. It was... a weird show.
I used to watch that AND Arthur the Aardvark AFTER I ets'ed from the military was working a job waiting to start law school. It wasn't even a secret.
I feel this way about Kimba, the white lion. Did I imagine that cartoon?
Saying this is one way to guarantee an eye roll from either of my 2 kids ha ha.
I never had a PS, but I repeated after the tv commercials. EA Sports, It's in the game. Every time and thought that I'm really odd. xD
This isn't a "her" problem. Make abortions safe and legal again U.S.A. you a*s backwards black hole.
Yes and while they’re at it how about proper sex education programs. Yeesh. America isn’t even third world when it comes to some things.
Load More Replies...Holes; the happy Disney film about a kid being wrongfully convicted and imprisoned, where he experiences bullying, suicide, abuse and attempted murder. Good times.
I think it was the movie 'Holes' but 'Misfits' was awesome!!!

Don't know if he was, but that picture is from onr the Captain America movie.

Fun fact, the diner they go into is actually a Health Food Store in reality. (It was filmed in my town). Okay this is a boring fact, pretend it was more fun than it is.
My mum got some of the rush fencing from the saddle club stables :)

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. Don’t get excited though. You had to do a LOT to unlock him including completing all 54 goals, and gaining all gold medals on Career mode whilst playing as Tony Hawk.
Obviously, his ponytail was way too tight, can only imagine the headaches. I would also be cranky.
I remember when they first made chocolate. I always hated it

Sounds good, is Sony paying my pension for the next 50 years? I’ll probably die around the age of 84
For his last birthday, my husband asked for a PS2 set with 2 controllers and a Champions of Norrath disc. We've been blitzing through it the past several weekends.
I'm not a big gamer, but my boyfriend is and he's always following the latest news on gaming on Twitter. So I get to observe. Just from how it seems on the outside, gamers are either getting really bored with what's been coming out lately, or the developers are going through a creative block. That's just how it's been feeling. Lots of pushed back release dates, overly hyped games with tons of bugs, recycled plots and lack of diverse characters with limited facial expressions. This is just based on my observance. I do like video games but nothing's really piqued my interest since PS3.
Never said a truer word.... al the sh*t you loved is almost gone.... gotta look harder for good sh*t
Load More Replies...People like us still pay 10 bucks more for a 10 years old game than at the time it was originally released and store our card ringes in their little boxes on shelves like the handheld console gremlins we are!!

Yes I agree but the story of star vs the forces of evil made me hate Disney XD for so long
Load More Replies...no dudes to be honest, ed edd and eddy sucked. Cow and chicken FTW.
Rocky. And. Bullwinkle. Was. The. Best. It was also one of the first TV cartoons with content that adults could enjoy too—-predating Disney by 30 years.

Soda-licious was the best. But if you had the other fruit snacks the opaque ones were the best. I also recall jet shaped fruit snacks and everyone either loved or hated the stealth fighter cos it was black. I can't recall if it was licorice or grape, or something else.
Idk how common they are, but my Aldi sells “Dinos and sharks” fruit snacks. Mixed together In each pack. They’re amazing!
Here I am. This is me. There is nowhere else on Earth I'd rather be. Here I am. It's just me and you. Tonight we make our dreams come true.
I cry every time I see this movie. It's definitely one of my favorites of all time!
My daughter LOVES this movie. She might be 12 now but if I go up stairs I can hear this movie playing.
I never saw that one! Dang. There were a lot of cameos in that show. Blue Falcon and Dinomutt made an appearance too.
I remember. I actually think the toys/cups etc were better in the 90s. I remember these colour changing Disney cups Hungry Jacks did, loved them.
Only teen titans and ben 10 where I am. I wish that I was born earlier so that I could see them all
Anyone here remember Recess? (It can be found on Disney+ if you want to go back in time a little ;)
Ok but does anyone remember when cartoon network first started and there were odd old cartoons that played like Wait til your Father Gets Home? That opening credit didn't click until I was much older.
I love the 3rd generation cartoons they named! I was just watching Regular Show yesterday lol
So, if you suck at something, you should die and respawn until you can eventually overcome. Talk of a loose bolt nut job religion
I'm assuming they're using the dub version of Goku for this, because sub Goku wasn't exactly a good moral compass.
That's because Toriyama never considered him a hero but just some dude who loves to fight. It's the anime writers that pushed the whole "Goku saves the day/world" thing
