You should never EVER give your dog a bone that has been cooked. They splinter and can puncture their stomach, or an intestine. NEVER give your dogs a bone that has been cooked. Better yet, never give them ANY bones, unless they are those round beef marrow bones that are sliced to about one inch thick, and they have marrow on them. They are not cooked. I freeze them and give my beagle a treat-- it's frozen and cold and when it's hot outside, it's like a nutritious puppy popsicle, and it's perfectly safe.

Sometimes you really need to go to a professional bakery for requests like these. Many supermarkets do not have the resources for more "out of the box" decorating/baking requests. That's not to say that you can't get some delicious baked good from your local supermarket, but you cannot always expect you are going to get top-notch decorating.

Because a parcel being in UPS's system for a few months would just get returned to the sender...even if it was lost, surely they must sort through lost/missing parcels every year at some point. It's usually when they've fallen down the lining of the cab or cargo area of the van, slipped under the slat-floor of a 40-footer, or got lost under a locker or sorting machine - something, it would have been written off, and she probably got a reimbursement years ago (unless it was a book club and she didn't realise it hadn't arrived in which case she may have paid for it at the time), but the alarms you correctly assume, would have lead to the publisher being compensated by the carrier back in 2009/10, so legally - if it was anyone's - it was her's, when it turned-up; they re-delivered!

I worked at the PO for 32 years and it's pretty easy to do. Someone doesn't check the bag after emptying the contents and it's in a fold and stays there. They're suppose to elbow the bag but often don't. The bag is put in another bag with a lot of other bags. I found letters that were years old behind letter cases. The custodians decided to clean them (first time I'd ever seen that done). Some were bills for companies that no longer existed.

I worked as a machine repair tech in a sorting facility years ago(subcontractor to USPS). The truth is that thousands of packages get lost every day. My facility handled US PASSPORTS...of which about 300 per month were lost in between machines and the wall, inside machines, thrown in the trash by lazy operators that didn't feel like sorting the last few boxes, etc. In this case here, the package was probably found when the sorting machine was repaired or swapped with a new one. Happens thousands of times a day all over the country.

With Aliexpress "you gets what you pays for", they have some great stuff, but the minute you start hunting for the same thing cheaper, beware. If you like cheap s**t it's great, for cheap, crappy s**t. Pay about what you would expect to pay locally and it's also great, good quality and even stuff you can't get locally. My wife is a dressmaker and several times she has had to remake crappy Chinese wedding dresses almost at the last minute, some have been so bad they were a lost cause, for example cloth cut to get the most out of the least cloth, meaning some panels were cut on the diagonal to the weave so the dress just hung like a misshapen sack.

I had full implants put in (love them). Had to wear a temp denture for a while as I had bone grafts. I would never order something that is a one-size-fits-all for the mouth. It would never stay in, isn't the proper shape of your jaw/gum/teeth. Why the hell someone would order something like this is beyond me.

This "problem" is honestly a mystery to me. There's no reference for scale in the photo so you... just assume it's a "normal" size? Do you think the photos of miniatures would be mostly white space so you can "see" that it's small? And in this case, you can even tell it's not a normal bench from the photo! It's very obviously cut-outs of balsa wood that have been stuck together.

Look for reviews of the companies, but not on their own sites. I wasted a few hundred dollars on junk clothes from China, horrible fabrics, ill-fitting, ridiculously expensive to return. The ads are gorgeous! Don't be tempted.

Infant XL, apparently. I ordered what looked like a really nice tailored shirt off Amazon without checking on the seller once. ONCE. I ordered it in a large, going by the seller’s size chart, even though I’m normally a medium. When it arrived, I couldn’t even get it on, it was so tiny like a child’s size large. Plus it was a totally different style and the quality of the cloth was awful. BTW, the seller was out of China. I now thoroughly vet any online vendor, and first go to a store to get the exact make, style name and number, and other identifying numbers, along with trying it on to check sizing, to be sure I’m getting what I ordered and that it will fit. I even sometimes find out it’s cheaper to buy it in the store than online nowadays. Seems brick and mortar stores are starting to catch on to why they were abandoned in favor of online shopping, and are trying to make themselves more attractive to shoppers.

if you make anything with pallets either wash it everyday for like three months or don't do it. they are absolutely LOADED with chemicals to prevent mold, rotting, among other things. hope u enjoyed my lil' PSA

It depends on what sort of pallets they are. Learn to read the markings branded or stamped into the side of the pallet. "DB" is untreated debarked wood. "HT" is heat treated. "KD" is kiln dried (which is excellent for making furniture as it tends to be quite stable). "DH" is dielectric heated (which has been microwaved to kill stuff). The only one you need to stay away from is "MB" which has been methyl bromide treated to kill pests that are resistant to heat treating.

Also, if you're looking for a particular type of wood, the color markings on a pallet can be pretty useful too. Blue ones are usually from Australia, brown ones from the EU and red ones from the USA.

Wow, someone in the shipping department knew just what they were doing when they scammed you! Those 3 bottles weigh about the right amount.....and that box is just about the right size. Maybe if it wasn't done at walmart, then whoever was delivering it switched your laptop out for these bottles. Someone knew what they were doing. So sorry this happened to you!

Given that they cost twice as much, I imagine these are "RV" toilet paper, the type that won't clog up holding tank equipment in campers and recreational vehicles. It costs more, and comes on silly small rolls.

Those look like what they call buttons in the toilet paper factory. They are the end cuts left over when a long parent roll is cut down into standard length rolls. these usually get recycled back into the fiber digester to to be made back into more toilet paper. I worked in a toilet paper factory for three years.

I do. You have to analyze the reviews. Many 1-star reviews come from idiots who didn't understand what they were ordering, had unrealistic expectations, or just couldn't figure it out. Likewise, many 5-star reviews seem extremely generic and suspicious.

I truly do not get people who get scammed by these dress sellers. If they're selling something that looks like it would ordinarily cost thousands of dollars for a few hundred dollars (or often even less), odds are you're not getting the product you think you are, because they likely stole the photo.

It’s an old saying, “If someone tries to sell you a gold watch for ten cents, they’re really trying to sell you a watch that’s not worth a dime”. In other words, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. They’d be better off shopping consignment websites—-they’ll pay more than $20, and will probably have to do some alterations, but they’ll at least have an item with some quality and value.

The ones that blow up aren't great with dog claws. I have the full size one of these for my dogs and it wasn't more expensive than an ordinary paddling pool at the time I bought it. As that was a few years ago I can't vouch for the cost now. My dogs love it. As it's 31 degrees and HOT outside right now I think I might go and rummage in the shed for it.

Close but no cigar. Maybe some alterations could save it? Also, your aunt’s proportions differ from the dress. I see the cups in the bodice. If your aunt pulled the dress down where it’s supposed to go, it would look more like the picture. However, she’d need to send it back for a different size.

Please don’t take offense at this, but you’re way slimmer (totally normal shaped—-without plastic surgery) than the model, so it won’t look the same on you. Very few of us look like the models, so have to expect the clothing to fit differently on us than in the pictures. You’re perfectly lovely just the way you are—-you have the slender shape so many of us covet and nearly kill ourselves to never attain. I guess we always want what we don’t have, so never appreciate what we do have.

A lot of people from low-income families tend to buy expensive dresses for events like prom online from low-cost sites like wish. It's sad but at the same time the reviews are always awful and the ratings barely crack above 2 Stars. I knew somebody whose parents bought their prom dress off an ad they saw on Facebook without their daughters knowledge only to receive an abomination like this.

What's wrong with David's Bridal or shopping high-end stores online clearance racks? I have found some amazing dresses from Nords and NM for under $70 that I wore for NYE and special occasions. I got my wedding dress back in the day from Ross for $25. It takes work to sift through the sites to find bargains but you can't do any worse than these pictures.
