Not that France has been so much better when my kids were enrolled at an international school - - the fear of terrorists is profound and the primary and collège (elementary and middle schools) were patrolled by armed French army. Some parents liked that the schools were patrolled by armed militia but to me and my kids, it was scary. I do not believe that these militia were a deterent but actually walking adverts for targets. What greater publicity than for a terrorist to claim they took out the militia and a school in one action. Armed guards at a school should not be normalised!

It's not just sad, it absolutely disgusting. There are some days I love my country but there are SO many things broken in America and it is unbelievably frustrating. I pray our children have strengths we don't have and learn from our mistakes. America needs to get better at so many things, and the first one is BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS FOR EVERYONE. Access to food, shelter, water, medical assistance. The power in this country is held by such a small percentage but man do they know how to manipulate the majority.

Richest or not, it's definitely rich enough to give mobility aid to people who need it.

It's not sad, it's disgraceful. And the word is not can't, but won't, which is disgraceful too.

That's just the richest small percentage of people. With several individuals holding hundreds of billions of dollars alone.

One of the most indebted countries, that can also creations out of thin air, courtesy of the Federal Reserve, which non-existent money is then loaned by private banks to overwhelmed workers, students and foreign countries at interests to be paid to billionaires, where you better borrow that phantom money, or you have "poor credit. " Poor people (AKA, working people barely earning minimum wage) can go suck an egg. They are lucky if their representative in Congress even answers their phone call.

I'm actually surprised by this, but the family probably doesn't qualify for Medicare, which would cover their child's medical expenses by 80-100%. Also, it's very rare for a child to require this type of medical equipment and thus it needs to be invented.

Most of us don't consider it a freedom, at all. Please don't rub it in, my European friends do it on a daily basis lol

That's what happens when it's medical care for profit - I'm sure the proper equipment would be a better design overall, probably last longer but a kid this small will need new ones as he grows, unless the proper ones adjust as he grows? I dunno, but knowing they can make this for a fraction of the price must be reassuring. Healthcare for profit is the biggest issue really - I mean, here in Scotland we don't pay anything out of pocket when receiving medical care outside of the national insurance that comes out your wages, even if you aren't working you still get the same care - I just can't get my head around having to worry about affording essential medical care for my children

because it isnt historically true. The electoral college was the idea of Rhode Island (A state that never had slavery). The Slaves issue of 3/5 for population count was for Congress,not electoral college. Southern states wanted them in population, Northern states did not (as one Mass member at the convention said "Then why cannot my cows and chickens count as well, they are living property too"), so the 3/5 compromise for Congressional Proportional represenation was created. But the electoral college was not connected to slavery, it just happened to give states the number of votes based on congress+senate seats, because it was the easiest way
