I Used My Camera To Recreate How My Kids See Their Toys (25 Pics)
The quarantine lockdown has been quite a challenge for parents all around the world. You either know someone – or are that someone – who, instead of watching Netflix all day, has been watching kids all through the quarantine. I am not an exception.
Our family with two kids locked down in a country house and, like everyone else, tried to take advantage of it and spend more time in nature, so that's how the secret adventures of the toys project started.

Impressive, that you caught the dirt flying as though they were actually running.
That was made with kids help - they threw sand :)

So, I tried to capture those images with my camera and found a new perspective (quite literally, actually) of the situation and looked at the world in the way my kids do daily. It started as a fun game for me and my kids to create these little stories, by searching for perfect locations. And so, the patch of land became a desert, young grass turned to the jungle, an anthill for us looked like a battlefield. All the toys came to life.
Homeward Bound! Who else balled their eyes out when the lab was stuck in the railway it and the boxer and friend were told to go ahead?! DEVASTATED
"I really should have turned left at Albequerque. I miss Shrek, Fiona, my dragon wife and my kids."
My journey as a photographer started with a film camera given to me by my father. I have always taken a lot of pictures. Although I studied graphic design, it was photography that stayed with me to this day.
Photography is my absolute passion. If I don't photograph anything for a week, I start to get anxious. I always have to create something.
How? This is gorgeous! I love how the photographer played with scale!
We spent the quarantine in nature and there were no people around, so photographing toys compensated for my hunger for creativity. The hardest part was getting down to the level of the toys, which means that almost all the pictures were taken lying on the ground. But it was still a much easier process than photographing living objects - the toys listened to me very well and did not move. Also, this project obliged me to go outside with the children, to involve them in the creative process.
This one looks like it came out of a Jurassic film, no kidding. It looks cgi!
Interesting. Is this from the "Lost World", or "The Dinosaur Project"? Whichever, it certainly looks like the Real Deal. Make room Steven. 00-Yep-5ed...2cc1af.gif

After the project, however, I am now concentrating on portraits of living people and I am also thinking about a personal exhibition someday.

Another realistic looking one! Maybe it's because it's a dinosaur or what but the spinosaurus ones look realistic.
That is a Norwegian troll figure, and the fairytale about the Billy Goats Gruff is Norwegian, so it is fair to assume that the trolls would look alike ...

I wonder if you are enjoying your kids toys more than they do? Let your inner child play!
