Oh man, I was at a DAISO in Sydney and came across these! I posted a picture to Facebook saying something on the lines of "LOL chair socks?! Really?" To my surprise the responses I got were people saying things like "ooh, those are dead useful" and "can you pick some up for me while you're there?" They're for protecting your floor from scratches and making it easy to push your chair around on non carpeted surfaces as well as picking up dust (they're washable, naturally). I did end up buying some, and in fact I can see the exact same ones in this picture! Third down on the left, with the grey stripes.
