Some opinions can really make one’s blood run cold. And they don’t have to be some horror-story-based ideas; at times saying something sexist enough or simply completely out of line can make people wary.

Women of Reddit have discussed what they find worrisome after the user 'neonroli47' started a thread about it. The redditor asked them what's an opinion they’ve heard someone express that made them scared of that person, and quite a few women shared their experiences. Continue scrolling if you want to see their answers and feel free to share yours in the comments section below.

“Fat People Should Not Be Allowed To Own Clothes”: 40 Terrifying Male Opinions “A woman can say no and later say yes so when she says no, it’s a challenge to change her mind.” I literally don’t care what context this is in. Anyone who has this mindset when it comes to women is scary and I don’t want to be in their vicinity.

What a load of nonsense....no means no, wether it's from a woman, man or child. Wether it's sexual or not....no means no, yes means yes. Stop bothering us normal folk with the stupid little challenges you set yourselves. Us normos don't like it.

Your partner is an entitled prick. He's getting mad because you're denying him what he believes is rightfully his. You're better off single than with someone who sees you as a sex toy.

Had a big fight with my husband over something similair. While exploring a town we (adult couple and two teenage daughters) were obiously being followed by a group of three men. It got scary, but we managed to shake them off. Hubbie then blamed our 15 year old daughter for leading them on. Apparently her big fault was to wander around town (with her parents!!) while being pretty. I got sooo mad at him.

I'd say "so he thinks men are mindless animals" but your average animal doesn't behave like that. Rats breed like... well, rats, yeah? So you'd think that means the females aren't allowed to say no, right? Wrong. I personally witnessed a male rat making advances on a female, and she wasn't into it and swatted him away, whereupon *he left her alone*.

“Fat People Should Not Be Allowed To Own Clothes”: 40 Terrifying Male Opinions I was in a class about sexual harassment. The teacher told us a story about a baron and his wife. The baron was supposed to go on a trip and told his wife not to leave, and that if she did, something terrible would happen to her. The wife leaves to go see her lover. When she tries to get back into the castle, the gatekeeper won't let her because he was ordered to k**l her if she left. She tries to get help from friends but no one will help her, so the gatekeeper k***s her. At the end the teacher asked us who was responsible. The majority of men in the room said it was her fault because she cheated and disobeyed her husband. This was before I was supposed to deploy with these men in the Army. It made me terrified to be stuck with them for the better part of a year. If anything happened to me, they would either be the perpetrators or they would blame me, because apparently infidelity is worse than m****r and women who cheat should be k****d.

Hm, Let's retell this story with role reversal...A Baroness leaves to go on a trip and tells her Husband, the Baron, not to leave the house as he will be ki11ed. Turns out, the Baron leaves to be with his lover then tries to go home. The gatekeeper tells him, " You were told not to go or you would dye. You left, now dye" ...now, Who is responsible?

This is multifaceted. At its most basic, if you stand on a pedestrian crossing in the road and a loony tune speeding driver is coming at you tooting his horn warning you to move but you don't because you are in the right, you are still dead when he runs you over. The males are loony tune a******s but unless you can survive their acting out of their a*****e egoic genes you really are stuck in retreat and survive mode aren't you?

“Fat People Should Not Be Allowed To Own Clothes”: 40 Terrifying Male Opinions Terrifying. I literally had someone I used to work with back in college ask me if I would go out with him. I wasn't interested in him romantically, so I said no - and then he said, and I quote, "I'll make you change your mind. You'll say yes. Also, I wouldn't trust any food I give you in the future." (Which was weird, since I don't accept food from people and he'd never offered me anything up to that point but I digress). The outright suggestion that he'd drug me and/or coerce me was enough to get me the hell away from him. It also helped that some male friends of mine called him on it. Ughhh. Another similar scenario, I had no car in college so I asked a friend (I thought we were friends, anyway, up to this point) to drive me to the dentist for a dental emergency. Went fine. Afterward, he asked if I'd be his girlfriend. I said no because again, not interested. He then asked me if I'd just be his "facebook status" girlfriend (weird?????) and I said no again. THEN he drove me down a quiet backroad and parked and said he could "r**e me and no one would know". I thank god every day I got out of that situation without any harm or any assault. People who can't take no for an answer are immediately out of my life. No questions asked.

This is why I normally give my daughter knives as an "I love you" present. If I find blades that look like something else (a carabiner, for instance, or a flashlight) I'll buy it for her. She hasn't had to use it yet, thankfully, but I know men, I was a soldier, I have been around the block and so many men are absolutely entitled and untrustworthy.

Just make sure she knows how to use it. My uncles sat us down when we were teenagers and gave a tutorial on knife usage and incident reporting. It was helpful. i never would have thought about how to hold a knife so your hand doesn't slip down the blade. The knowledge gives peace of mind that I can handle myself if needed.

The thing about this story is it proves that a lot of women end up in situations where they can and/or are raped. This girl thought she was asking a friend to help her. She had no idea he would do that. I am glad she got away without harm. But how many other women think they are getting help from a male "friend" and end up in worse situations. The media wants you to think it's about how you dress or where you hang out... this girl proves it's not either one of those things!

What? No man has ever been in fear for his life for more than 10 minutes without fighting off his attacker? Does he also think slavery was consensual, because the slaves weren't kept chained up 24/7, so why didn't they just leave? Moron.

This is the reason for consent-laws coming into play, because actual judges will say s**t like this!! "She has no marks in her body or rifts in her vagina, she must have allowed it without objection". So instead of actually asking the women to be harmed, we ask that everybody get explisit consent first. It should make sence, but to many people want to act all villified instead.

A friend of a friend once brought her new boyfriend out to dinner with us. He proceeded to tell us a "joke" that involved raping a 12 year old. I think at least several of us dropped our silverware. The rest just sat there in uncomfortable silence. WTF dude? Did you actually expect everyone to laugh? SO disgusting.

Yeah, this is another one where there is no devils advocate, that comment and the thinking behind it is irredeemable. Has the guy not thought about relative physical strengths? The attacker possibly having a deadly weapon? Compliance could be shock or simple self preservation. In no way does it imply consent or enjoyment. This sounds like another "college bro" observation.

My ex was in his early 40's. We were discussing the case of a rape victim demanding an abortion, but her rapist wanted the baby. (Seattle 1996 ish). Ex says, "well she obviously enjoyed it". And I was like "WTF? Why would you say something like that?" He proceeds to "explain" to me that women can only get pregnant if they have an orgasm. I went on to "explain" to him what a motherf*cking moron he was. I seriously wanted to hit him in the head with a bat.

“Fat People Should Not Be Allowed To Own Clothes”: 40 Terrifying Male Opinions ‘old people should be euthanised when over 75’ - some dude in my philosophy class. Not a weird joke, not playing devils advocate, his genuine opinion that he then continued to defend with passion. Young people often think that anyone over 75 must be doolally. However, once HE gets to that age, he'll understand what a dork he was - we are still useful over 75.... *The 2016 Nobel laureates for physics, medicine and chemistry: all men, at least 65 years old and mostly over 72. Go back to the first half of the 20th Century, however, and the average laureate was "only" 56. Physics laureates, now typically a group of men in their late-sixties, used to have an average age of 47.*

“Fat People Should Not Be Allowed To Own Clothes”: 40 Terrifying Male Opinions I was working at a retail store for a major phone carrier. As I was helping this guy he paused our conversation and told me that if he knew that he wouldn’t go to jail or prison for it, he would r**e me right then and there. Immediately left the situation and got my manager involved. When my manager told him to leave, the customer acted truly shocked and didn’t know why I would have taken offense to that. His argument was “I was just making a point, I didn’t do anything. What ever happened to free speech?”

Before any meaningful communication can take place, everybody has to agree for everybody to use the same definitions and meanings of the words being used. More than half the adults in the US cannot read above a sixth grade level. Easily 50% of comments on any topic display a basic failure to comprehend it, or any idea which contains more than one modifier. I've long since stopped wasting my time trying to get them to read the actual words. I just ignore the illiterates, and move on.

I remember being a 15 year old boy, and I can honestly say, when I was 15, I had very poor judgement. When I was 18, I also had very poor judgement, but I was legally an adult, and therefore responsible for my own stupidity. At 15, my stupidity would have been, at least in part, my parents' mess to fix.

Talking about fat phobia, I had a really "interesting" encounter a few days ago. I was sitting on a bench, reading boredpanda actually, minding my own business. Suddenly an old hag sat down beside me and started asking questions about what I am doing. So for the next few minutes I tried to explain the concept of the internet to her. Her questions got more general and weirder until she started with the topic she was really interested in: my weight. First she told me that I am overweight (TOTALLY didn't know that, so thanks, I guess), then she told me that she would be disgusted of herself if she looked like me, and that men won't like that either. Then she asked me if I am in a relationship and - the absolute highlight of that conversation - if I ever had sex with a man. When I got up and left she called after me that I should not eat any candy when I get home. I was too stunned by that whole encounter to tell her that she can go and f herself.

Whether we’re conscious of it or not, we CHOOSE our reactions. SHE didn’t do anything to force him to push her off a cliff. Did she put a gun to his head, or threaten to do awful things to his family, to coerce him into pushing her off a cliff? NO! HE CHOSE to react that way, and without taking a moment to think about all the possible outcomes, he just went with his anger and CHOSE to push her.

Well murderers probably are triggered by something, not anything rational, moral or ethical but their brain is acting out toward something. That doesn't make an excuse for victim blaming though, it just explains that there are irrational psychos out there with twisted thought processes.

This it not necessarily a bad statement. It may simply be true, as long as it is not accompanied by something like: and therefore deserved it. Rage is often triggered. Fact. This is never an excuse for the perpetrator. On the contrary, it is reason for the perpetrator to get into therapy.

Riiiiiiiiiight. As if every 16-year-old girl throws herself at men old enough to be her father. Why stop at 16? Four-year-old girls walk and talk, AND they sit on adult laps. They're definitely asking to be sexually assaulted. /s

Friend of mine ran a shelter for abused girls. Her big problem was that a lot of those abused teens would throw themselfs at old guys. They had been conditioned to do that from a very young age. And often it was the only form of (twisted) attention they had ever known. So sadly these abuse victims were very vunerable to being abused again.

When I was in high school I (a female) worked in the sporting goods department of a big box store. I dealt with all kinds of sexual harassment. One day at closing, I was flashed by a guy. Management called the cops the next day. I was asked what I was wearing and was I flirting?!?! I was a 16 year old girl.

In my country 16 is the age of consent, it's the age you can be married at, it's the age you can join the army, vote in some elections and you can drink beer and wine in restaurants too. I don't have an issue with two 16 year olds being intimate but I find it beyond weird to think that a middle aged man or woman can sleep with a 16 year old..

Not "I can't wait to go hunting/get in some target practice." Not "I hope it's never necessary but I'm glad I have it to protect my family." That is a dude who legit hopes he gets to shoot someone.

And that “itchy trigger finger” phenomenon amongst the gun crazies is PRECISELY the argument for gun control. People who are mentally unstable should never be anywhere around guns. People with anger issues should never be anywhere around guns. People who are abusive should never be anywhere around guns. People with police records should never be anywhere around guns—I say that because Dylann Roof (just Google him) had a police record, with one incident being making loud and disturbing threats to open fire and kill people at a crowded mall—-yet he was able to own guns, one of which his own father bought him as a 21st birthday present! The gun becomes the instant solution to their problems, or the new toy that the child just cannot wait to play with. It also becomes the first thing they reach for if they get angry, instead of just taking a breath, calming down, and thinking about other solutions first. No one but a government should have a stockpile of weapons and ammunition at their disposal, and governments actually train people (police and military, ffs) how and when to use them when they’re sent to fight in a war, or “protect and serve”. Hell, even in those cases, there are people who slip through the cracks and manage to join those groups who should never be anywhere around guns.

I had a boss like that. He got a concealed carry permit and was just itching to be "the hero" in his own fantasy. Just one more type of person who shouldn't own guns. People worry about criminals and the mentality unstable, but in my opinion the wannabe heroes are just as dangerous.

If not more bc they are always 'on' just waiting for that chance. Sitting in wait with an itchy trigger finger has them so pumped I'm sure they could easily misread a situation and harm innocent people in their attempt to be the hero.

“Fat People Should Not Be Allowed To Own Clothes”: 40 Terrifying Male Opinions I was talking to my now ex friends with benefits about Roe v. Wade and how if I were to get pregnant I would want an a******n. And he sat there in silence and told me after a minute or two that he would want me to keep the baby, I looked at him like he was crazy because we were just friends with benefits and he refused to commit to me so why would I ever have his baby when he won’t even be with me? I asked him why he would want me to keep it considering our circumstances and he said “ just because we’re two adults who are not ready for a relationship( he wasn’t ready I was very ready ) doesn’t mean that we would make bad parents” like wtf that’s exactly what it means??? It’s crazy how many men in this world are just OK with a girl having their baby even if they won’t commit to them. We are no longer speaking

"Are you willing to be a single father? Will you also cover any and all medical bills relating to the pregnancy and birth, and any rehabilitation/restorative surgery after, and take full financial responsibilty for the child?" If it's not a yes to both, why do you think the mother should be willing to do both, and risk her health and her life at the same time?

Years ago (before Internet dating), I had a blind date set up by a friend. At the end of the date, he groped me painfully, and said "I could rape you right now." I got out of there, never returned his calls. I told our mutual friend, who heard about the failed date, and apparently it had been meant as a compliment-"I could rape you right now" means "I find you attractive and want to make love to you" according to that idiot. Do men not think? Do they think threatening us with rape is a type of flirting? Worst of all, the male friend (now an ex-friend) who set us up thought I'd over reacted and taken it the wrong way, and I should be pleased someone found me attractive.

I was once taking an Uber home after work, it was my first time staying alone without my boyfriend and I was around 22. the Uber driver wanted to know where I was from, aka my enthnicity. once I told him I was Indian, he replied with " yes, I always wanted to marry an Indian girl as they are so much loyal and submissive and less likely to cheat on you" then he proceed to ask me if I lived alone and I told him I live with my husband and son and I have been married for years. I slept that night with a hammer under my pillow.

I got in a cab once with an incel type driver. Drove me from my hotel to a shopping mall. Many years ago now but we were talking and somehow the topic of missing people came up, particularly young women, and he asked me if I knew of any so I started telling him about a missing girl in my own home city. I was very young and naive then. I got to the mall unscathed but I look back on it now and believe I dodged a bullet there. To this day I believe I didn’t become a statistic simply because I was too young and ignorant to be afraid. I believe had I become afraid of him then, alone in his cab, I may not have been found alive. I believe he was trying to scare me and when I wasn’t scared I just was not enough of a turn on.

Thing is, the vast majority of people would never even think of doing those things, regardless of circumstances. Regardless of whether or not there are laws, religious or secular, against them. Because those behaviors are not in the BETTER nature of human beings, but only in the basest nature of a small percentage of the population. It’s our better nature prevailing that has allowed us to live amongst each other relatively peacefully, though it might not seem like it. If you look at total population numbers, and compare them to total number of felony crimes, chances are really high that the majority of us will never have crimes committed against us. It’s just the unknown factor that instills fear and makes us hyper conscious of the possibility it could happen to us. I probably haven’t said it very well, but that’s my observation.

I like Penn Jillette's answer to this. A quote from an interview on theinterrobang.com: "The question I get asked by religious people all the time is, without God, what’s to stop me from raping all I want? And my answer is: I do rape all I want. And the amount I want is zero. And I do murder all I want, and the amount I want is zero. The fact that these people think that if they didn’t have this person watching over them that they would go on killing, raping rampages is the most self-damning thing I can imagine." If you truely think the criminal code is what stopping people from wraping and hmurdering people, then you acknowledge that people would do it if there was no consequence whatsoever. I deeply disagree. I think some people would do it no matter the consequences. And some people would never, even without consequences.

Frank Sinatra was famous for being a skinny little guy for most of his life. But look at pictures of him from when he was young, then look at pictures of him when he got old. Yeah, even skinny Sinatra got kind of tubby in his old age. Everyone’s metabolism slows down with age, and we gain a bit of weight—-not necessarily a large amount, but enough to be noticeable. Then, for women, there’s the life and body changing event of being pregnant and having a baby. Things are just different after giving birth, just like they eventually end up different as you age. It’s just a human thing, ffs.

I was having a migraine and my kids were fighting. I asked them to calm down, explained that I was unwell, and told them to play in different rooms. 10 minutes later they were fighting again. I separated them again and reminded them that I needed to rest for a while. 10 minutes and they were fighting again. I lost it and yelled at them telling them to stay in separate rooms. My 5yo started moving, as to go into his brother's room and I reached out to grab him, but ended up slapping him instead. It was not intentional, my movement and his, it just happened. I was horrified. He was upset. I apologized and have been apologizing for 30 years now. I was the adult. It was my fault. I don't understand how people can blame the kids for what they as adults do.

And men tend to forget the boys, young men, and adult men who are sexually assaulted—-by sexual predators who are also men. That “good people” c**p is a mask, an act, an Oscar winning performance intended to fool people into thinking the predator wouldn’t hurt anybody. The proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing. Anyone who makes such ridiculous Pollyanna-ish statements like that about someone who is a potential danger to those around them, needs to stop being so gullible, or so blind, and come into the real world with the rest of us.

I sometimes have to take public transport just when school's out for the day. Definitely no kids for me for now, thank you, but mad respect to those who do choose that path. Who knows, might change my opinion on that, might not.

So not contributing to overpopulation and the climate problem is selfish? If you want children, absolutely, have them, be happy. But I don't understand this, how is it selfish to just live your life without kids?

I didn't want children. I really didn't. I got pregnant by mistake. I considered abortion but in 1993 the laws in Maine wouldn't permit it. Considered adoption but husband couldn't bare it. So I had a child. I loved him insanely but I worried constantly: was I making the right choices. Was I good enough? Would he turn out ok. On and on. I was constantly horrified. The anxiety was maddening, often to the point of severe depression. This went on his entire life. It did not end when he turned 18. It did not end when he moved out. It did not end until he died recently. It still has not ended. The angst. I never wanted children from a very young age because I somehow knew it would bring unbearable emotional pain. And it did.

Absolutely, but in reality most people have children purely because they want them. No other reason. That's hardly the definition of altruism. It's good that there are people who do though and wanting them should be at the heart of it.

...as opposed to "I want kids, so I'll have kids", which is totally altruistic. /S I don't blame either side for doing or not doing what they want. All in all, though, going without kids you're responsible for your own life and your impact on the world - having kids makes you responsible for their lives, too. The potential to screw up multiplies, and the ability to procreate does NOT make you a good person by default, nor even a good parent.

Here’s what you tell someone who says something like that: “That may be in some cases. But at least they’re self-aware enough to realize it and not to want to inflict that selfishness on an innocent child they really didn’t want to have. I call that an act of kindness. What’s YOUR excuse?”

Are they referring to race or sex here? If the former, it’s racist BS. If the latter, then studies have shown that girls achieve actually better results in a single sex setting. I suspect it’s the former though.

Which type of segregation? There is evidence that girls do acedemically better in an all female environment at secondary school (11-18 in the UK) similarly all male schools. (in comparison to 'mixed schools') In much of the world 'segregation' has a totally different meaning.

“Segregated? Exactly how, sir? Please enlighten me about your opinion”. Then watch him absolutely deflate because he cannot think of anything that justifies his statement. The reason being that he’s just blurting out the first disgusting words/statement his pea brain can think of, with no filter between his brain and mouth, and you tripped him up by asking him to explain it. There’s I way he can explain it that would be acceptable to anyone except another a*****e like himself. It’s highly satisfying to watch someone like that be put on the spot and start sweating trying to think of something to say that won’t get his sorry a*s in even more trouble.

I just watched an interesting PBS show about desegregation in Mississippi, these kids were among the first mixed race classes in 1st grade and graduated in the 1980s - the 80s, this isn't ancient history. Segregation continued anyway, first by tracking students by ability and now by 'school choice '.

If education was segregated, women would be the winners. Girls mature earlier than boys do, and regularly gets higher grades than boys. It's the fact that girls and boys are educated together that raises the boys' grades, but lower the girls'. So from a woman's point of view it would be ideal to segregate education.

“Fat People Should Not Be Allowed To Own Clothes”: 40 Terrifying Male Opinions i remember when i was in uni and was talking about how the plot line in twilight where edward follows bella home and watches her sleep was essentially stalking, and utterly terrifying. my friend at the time, eyes popping out, bewildered at my opinion, said “are you kidding? i’d *love* that! don’t you find that totally romantic? (friend’s then girlfriend’s name) would really love that.” that moment should have been a foreboding sign of what kind of person he was, but i thought he was being facetious at the time, as much as i was creeped out. he turned out to be one of the worst people i’ve ever met, and i’ve met someone who has drove drunk with a classically autistic woman in the back of their car!

Funny story: my husband and I both read Twilight and saw the movies. I'm even revisiting the movies currently (they can be pretty terrible but it's nostalgia now). The other day, I was exhausted after work so I went and got right in bed for a heavy afternoon nap. At some point, I woke up and had this buzzing sensation everywhere and I was suddenly alert and awake. I turned over and my husband is standing there just staring at me so intensely (he meant to scare me). He went "aw, you don't think it's sweet that I'm watching you sleep?" I said "No, never do that, that's insanely creepy!"

I was in the car with a very close family member. They always like to play these inflammatory radio shows at a high volume when they drive. The hosts of the radio show they were playing that day were mocking the anonymous woman who accused Aziz Ansari of assaulting her. That family member then turned to me and said women in Hollywood were hypocrites for supporting the Me Too movement because they wore revealing clothing to red carpet events. I hate to say it, but it was probably something so small and insignificant for them that they have probably already moved on and forgotten about ever saying it. But I have never been able to forget that. Maybe I'm not afraid of them, but I can't say that I respect them.

It’s 2023, I don’t understand why some men think that I deserve to forfeit that right just because they can see my boobies. I refuse to believe men are so biologically weak compared to women that they just can’t keep control of themselves when they’re horny - so many men can act and do better than that with no issue, so that argument is even kinda disrespectful to those better men.

The clothes, no. But some kept quiet to further careers, and they don’t belong in that movement because “letting it slide” allowed it to perpetuate and even escalate.

I went on a date with a guy who said to me, unprompted, that he thinks women should all experience terrible pain during sex, so that women would be less promiscuous. He was about 3 long island iced teas down and had been asking me to come back to his place prior to this, which I kept dodging. I excused myself to the bathroom shortly after and bailed when he wouldn't notice. Hilarious side note, this happened on the same night that I first met my current partner.

I don't let any man scare or intimidate me, but one time my father-in-law said he would r**e every pretty woman he came across if he could get away with it. Then looked right at me. By the way, he is HIV positive, so it was extra disturbing. Said this to me in front of my hubby, teenage son and my son's friend.

My ex roommate/friend when he said that he's sick of going into town and seeing beautiful women with "troglodyte" men who treat them like s**t. I asked him if he'd actually seen this and he didn't answer, just went off on one about how he should treat women like s**t because they clearly love being abused. Or the time when he had a female friend who was having trouble with her boyfriend and she herself was very unhappy, had anxiety and was being treated poorly by her partner. My "friend" outright told me that he was going to tell this woman not to complain about her boyfriend to him anymore because he doesn't care unless she's going to suck his d**k.

I remember myself as a university student, and while I wasn't like this, I wasn't as far away from this mentality as I would have liked to think I was. As for the second paragraph, however, his behaviour there is totally alien to me. Just disgusting.

That is what Arnold Schwarzenegger said after cheating on his then girlfriend, Maria Shriver, with his co-star, Brigitte Nielsen, while filming Red Sonja. He said cheating with Brigitte made him realized that Maria was the one he really loved. And years later he cheated on her again (by then Maria was his wife) with their housemaid.

A guy I asked what he loves about horror movies, he said the look in their eye the moment they know they can't escape and they will die! Should have stayed clear but i tried to make it make sense. This person proceeded to do weird and wrong stuff from cheating to stealing to scamming and gets angry when questioned and refuses to speak when he knows the one questioning him knows the facts. He also did this with cops a few times. The thing is his face always looks happy and he has a calm friendly voice so people fall for it when they dont know the facts. He also talks allot about staying positive , vibes, and no stress ect ect. Took me a while to realize he doenst want to change and thus never will.

We went out for dinner and a walk, everything was running smoothly, and the topic of therapy came out and he very nonchalantly told me that he told his female therapist that some women were in active search of f*****e. I was shopping at Costco (big box store) and had to pause my purchase while I transferred more funds to my bank account (they only take debit or cash). This guy I didn’t know, probably a little older than me, offered to pay for my entire purchase of about $200+. I don’t know why, but I got really uncomfortable and nervous. I had the money so I declined. But it was weird. A really generous, seemingly Good Samaritan, offer just freaked me out instead.

It's just smart to not get indebted to anybody, especially when you don't know them. 200 usd is a lot of money and I don't believe anybody would just toss that at a stranger without expecting anything back. And even if they WERE just genuinely good people with extra cash, they should understand why taking a lot of money from strangers for seemingly nothing in return is super scary, especially for a woman.
