When I was a kid, a family with a deaf dad moved in down the street. I took them some cookies to welcome them to the neighborhood and signed my welcomes to the dad. His eyes got real wide and I signed "I'm sorry, did I do that wrong? I'm still learning." He signed, "No, no. It's perfect" and hugged me. He could read lips, but it made him so happy that someone took the time to make him feel included.

I wonder what song they learned? I'm in my 2nd year of ASL and have a deaf teacher this time. He's pretty chill and learning the language is fun! If yall ever wanna watch a deaf/ASL movie, look up ''Super Deafy" I forgot the real title but it deals with a character of that name. Good movie hope those who watch it enjoy!!!

How wonderful for this young man. A caring and loving community has opened up a HUGE window of opportunity for him. Imagine if this was you! Just knowing that people cared enough to learn how to sign . Many hugs and kisses to the wonderful people in his neighbourhood. Great way to start the New Year - especially for this beautiful young man!

It is kind and awesome because how many people can you say, will go out of their way to do that for someone? The person here, his job description does not involve feeding people, but he goes out of his way to do it. Kindness is something everyone should practice, but unfortunately not enough people do. So it's NICE to see stories like this.

This is not true! I was helping a lot, brought food, water, and clothes for the refugees, just like most of the citizens in Budapest, also the doctors treated their wounds, and sickness in their free time, since they were collecting money for medicine, and other treatments. We opposed the Hungarian government, we have chosen the way to help the people, and show the world that we are not bad people.

Stepdads can be great father figures. My first stepdad was abusive, but my second stepdad was a great guy. My brothers and I stayed friends with him after he and my mom got divorced. My dad told us we shouldn't be hanging out with him anymore after the divorce. We were like, "Well, we still hang out with you and you divorced our mom, so...."

You are NEVER too old to learn stuff. My 90 year old great-grandfather wanted to learn how to use a computer, but he kept saying, "I'm too old. I wouldn't understand." I told him that was BS. He actually learned just fine. When I showed him how to read news articles online, he said, "Oh. It's like a typewriter that can give you instant faxes on a TV!" I said, "Yep. Pretty much."
