As a lesbian and a firm believer in the Lord above this makes me so happy to see people stand up for equality. My Lord and savior didn’t discriminate. As a matter of fact he ate with prostitutes and other “sinners” and spoke against those who judged their misdeeds. I’m not claiming to have all the answers. Yes you can! It's generally 24 hours the first time, then 5 days, then permanently the third time. So then you just make a new account. The downvote system is stupid, and completely automated, so we try to save downvoting for bots and extremely unpleasant people. I’d be concerned I’d have a personal bias during the interview. Without him knowing who I was, I’d probably have him sit through rounds of interviews with others, consider their advice then interview him several hours later after his final interviews with the mail clerk, facilities staff, the lady who comes in to take lunch orders. As long as those interviewing had little to do with the position he sought. Then, after a grueling day of answering the same abstract & worthless questions over and over, I’d legitimately interview him. What a great way to break up office and hiring monotony.

This is about 20 minutes from my hometown and this witch was actually held in a nearby counties jail. I’m from a very small town with very small minds but we’re getting better here. I used to get a lot of hate (I’m a boyish lesbian so I stand out) but things are definitely getting better here for me. It may be because I stopped caring what people thought of me.

He ran. He lost in the Democrat's primary. He was a single issue candidate with no actual plan on how to do the job. The guy who beat him (Elwood Caudill) trounced her in the general election and is running again this year for re-election. Also, the Fairness Campaign (KY LGBT advocacy group that ranks political candidates) endorsed Caudill over Ermold in 2018 and they endorsed him again last week.

I mean the freedom of religion part of the constitution just means that you can believe what you want and can't be persecuted for it. The judge let him off because of how jail would affect his future—-as if the rape he committed, in broad daylight and witnessed by the people who stopped him, hadn’t already adversely affected the future of the woman, ffs. If we keep his face in the public eye as THE face of rape, I believe WE can effectively f**k over his future by making him a social pariah. Who in their right mind is going to hire him? If they do, their company’s sake will be in the toilet.

He raped an unconscious woman then got a 3 month sentence due to the judge being biased by no priors (entitled college kid). People were enraged and decided to take their own justice by ensuring that if you ever google the guy, you'd always find the words "rape/rapist" next to his name. Laws were changed after this case.

I was in 6th grade at the same school my mom taught 8th grade at. A couple 7th graders used to bully my friend and I in the locker room, and I'd tell mom about it, of course. Well, she must've mentioned something to some of her students, because one day during a free day at PE, my friend and I were walking around and the two bullies came up to us and started talking s**t. Suddenly, about six or seven 8th grade girls, all mom's students, surrounded us, greeted me, and were like, "these two aren't giving you any trouble... are they?" I have never seen anyone go so pale as those two did. So frankly, I find nothing about OP's story the least bit unlikely.

I was on my way home today on a 2 lane hwy in the country & was just enjoying the drive honestly.. The older guy in the truck in front of me started hugging the right side of the lane.. At first I figured he wasn't paying attention for a second & would correct himself, then I was like.. Maybe he's pulling into a driveway coming up and doesn't want me to be bothered... But he got over so much he was almost on the ditch line, he was letting more room for me to go around him when the broken lines come up to pass people.. So, I went around him, but I didn't really want to, I don't think I was following him too closely or that I seemed impatient.. And I hope he didn't think I was, maybe he just figured he was going slow and trying to be nice.. But I was perfectly content just cruising along & just kinda zoned out. I've had people rev up and go around me when I was already going like 10 over the limit, people need more chill 🙃

On our street - it's actually an avenue - it's supposed to be maximum 40km/hour. I was probably doing 45km/hour. The car behind me tails me so close I think he might bump me or something. Then I slow down because I was coming to my house and the entrance is hard to get in when cars are parked on the street right besides it. I turn. Something roars past me. That car. And an unmarked police car with flashing lights... The rest is history.

Theres a road with speed humps, lots of trees and sharp turns I take too and from work. Someone tailed me last night, so close I couldn't see their headlight which was on, because I was doing the speed limit. The limit on the road is 25 due to the difficulties and you're supposed to slow down for the humps. He almost hit me twice when I did and I honestly thought he was just gonna rear end me for not speeding on an already dangerous road, in the dark.

My daughter was born in the middle of the night via emergency c-section, her daddy didn't make it to the hospital in time to be in the room. I'll never forget the nurse who hugged me when they were inserting the epidural. (The baby is fine and now a normal almost 5yr old.)

She must've been tolerating the pain then. When I was in labour, I initially wanted to go all natural, not have any scary needles and any risky procedures. All out the window. It was scary, I hate needles, I'm terrified of pain and being poked and prodded. My mom (and the amount of excruciating pain I was in early on) convinced me to just get it done and said epi likely saved my life. I can't even say who did it. Didn't care what they looked like. It wasn't as painful as I thought. They numbed the area first. Nothing too terrible happened, like ending up paralyzed, which I heard is a risk.

I was a little kid at 10 years of age and I told my teacher that I felt sick and needed to be excused to go to the washroom. She said no, so I asked if I could open a window and again she said no and to sit down and open my language text book. I did as told and promptly threw up all over my book and desk. She sent me out into the hallway, not to the washroom, to wait while the janitor came to clean it up. As I was waiting, I was crying when the principal walked by and asked why I was out there crying. I told him that I felt sick and told my teacher but she wouldn't let me leave to be sick in the washroom. He called her to come out into the hallway and told her he was sending me home because I was clearly sick. I was too young and too sick to feel vindicated then, but I love retelling that story now.

I developed severe hyperemesis with my first pregnancy. I worked as a cashier in a grocery store. Another cashier was also pregnant. Zero issues. She actually told me “morning sickness was in my head.” She told our managers and other coworkers that I “just wanted sympathy and special treatment.” Meanwhile, I told her I’d do anything to trade pregnancies with her, because I was legitimately miserable. She rolled her eyes. We both delivered healthy baby boys. Two years later, we found ourselves pregnant again. I had zero issues. I felt absolutely great. She was sick as a dog. I looked at her and said, “It’s all in your head.” And she wearily looked at me and said, “I owe you the world’s biggest apology for saying that. I had no idea you could feel this bad being pregnant. I was such a jerk. I really thought you were making it up. But now I know. Because I’m not making this up. And I would do anything to feel better right now.” She got instant empathy and forgiveness from me. Poor thing!

I keep hearing about a bias against ginger. I grew up in a working class city in very Northern England in the 1950s and of course we had loads of gingers, often called carrot tops but in a completely genial and affectionate way. It only meant we could find each other in a crowd and yes, I have gingers in my extended family. As a senior, I wonder when ginger became a no no? It's really weird. Being a red head used to be hot. Rita Hayworth anyone? Dang, i guess I AM old. 😶 What about "vive la differance?" Anyone remember that? Wouldn't life be boring if we were all blonde nitwit Stepford wives?

First, let me say that red hair is beautiful and distinctive, and I wish I had it instead of my dark blonde—-now fading to gray—-that looked more like light brown to me (except it always lightened a whole lot to streaky blonde in summer). Also, a*****e mom doesn’t realize red hair from one parent may not necessarily be passed directly to their children. Sometimes it can skip a generation or two. I had a fiery red headed grandfather. Not one of his 9 children had red hair, nor did any of his numerous grandchildren. But almost all of his great-grandchildren have variations of red in their hair; everything from a nearly imperceptible strawberry hue in a blonde child to a total carrot top child with pale skin and freckles. So, this grandma was jumping the gun, genetically, because chances are she may have been long gone by the time the red hair popped up again.

Similar thing happened during the 1980s miners' strike in Great Britain (burn forever in Perdition's flames, Maggie). The strikers had to keep themselves amused, and during the winter of '84 they were out there in the freezing cold and started building snowmen. The polis, nice and warm in their Range Rovers, took to driving over these creations, until one time the miners constructed one over a concrete bollard. Snowman > Cop Range Rover.

The story behind this event is thus: This farming community was noticing that kids snowmen and snow sculptures were being rammed by a vehicle. The worry was the vehicle could hit the house or damage other property. As revenge one family built this snow man Nick named “Stumpy” to deter further destruction. Worked like a charm.

This happens allot more than you'd think. When I first started my career as a fireman I always secretly hoped I'd get a chance to do this. We had a fire break out on the main drag in town one night and to my surprise was a brand new Mercedes SUV parked right in front of it. Busted the windows, connected the hoses and got to work. Right before we started clean up the owner of the SUV stomped his fat a*s up to us screaming he was going to have all our jobs for ruining his ride. He just happened to be my 10th grade math teacher that said I'd never amount to anything and he had been illegally parked while he was banging his mistress. He lost his wife, the court case against us, and his job. Sometimes karma is a beautiful thing.

Furthermore, there are degrees of criminality. My adorable and sweet as hell sister was arrested for a dolphin protest. Peaceful save trespassing. Her probation for her one and only crime should be justice enough. Not having prisoners find her on social media from her mugshot and sending her hella creepy messages. She shouldn’t be turned down for work because she was an idealist 19yo. Hardly the hardcore criminal yet you’d have her clumped in with DUIs, fraudsters & the pedophiles & murders. It’s important we don’t see digression as black & white. Also, when sentences are served, most debt to society is repaid. That’s what makes us a civilized nation. Saw this on a police TV show, there was stationary traffic on the motorway due to a nasty crash, a driver decided to use the hard shoulder to avoid it, unfortunately for them they passed a police car which gave chase. When the car was stopped and searched it had over £20k worth of weed in it, enough for them to be jailed.

Jerks Get What They Deserve
I was driving back from a construction site today and I saw this old guy (let's call him Dennis) in a car get clipped so bad he ended up in the other lanes. The car that hit him took off. I flipped on my lights and whipped around to see if the guy was okay. Fortunately, he was, but he didn’t recall the make/model of the car that hit him. Dennis was really shaken up by the whole thing, but it got a lot better when we discovered that the hit-and-runner's license plate got lodged into the side of Dennis' car.

I have absolutely no sympathy. If this was an apartment with a shared communal access area, leaving shoes outside is dangerous and gross. I manage fire safety in residential blocks. If you leave shoes outside your door they will be immediately binned by me. Zero tolerance. They are a trip hazard on the fire escape route. Also, they make the hallways stink of your feet, so it's very inconsiderate to all residents.

Yes. Some people don’t understand the fine points of the Constitution. It doesn’t give you license to talk and act anyway you want. It’s in place to keep behavior inside socially acceptable boundaries. You can say what you want—-but not anything and everything you want. Every freedom has a limit. A reasonable limit. One of those reasonable limits is that certain speech, such as racial slurs, can incite violence. We don’t want violence, and preventing it in the first place is the best way to avoid it. I swear, we need to reinstate Civics classes in public schools.

Had a guy fired from my job for similar incident. He yelled stuff at a petite little protester while in his truck; she went up to him to explain why they were protesting and he nearly ran her over while driving off. I never found out what, if any, legal action was taken against him but he was fired within a few days when they learned of what he did.

The opposite happened when the workers came up the stairs with my washer/dryer! They had to open the wall to put a bigger door. The plumber didn't charge me more because he didn't measure the door. In context, we took the w/d from the basement and brought them up to the bathroom upstairs; they fit exactly where the bathtub was. Except neither fitted in the door as they were too large.

Saw the same thing in the car park of a local shopping centre. We have a blue badge as my son is registered disabled. We park in a disabled bay. As we are getting out a car parks in the disabled bay behind us. The young guy and his partner get out and walk off. No badge on display in their car. Casually mention to my wife that they will probably get done for it. When we come back to the car a few hours later, sure enough they have been ticketed. Despite the clear signage.

My dad was disabled for 21 years (he died last year). He had an accident that caused a catastrophic brain injury. In the early years when he was healthier, we could take him places in a wheelchair, so we had a disabled license plate/placard. Can't tell you the number of times we'd go places and all the disabled parking spots were taken by cars that had neither a disabled plate nor placard. :(

Why should firefighters have to do that? It would take too much time, and possibly compromise water pressure. In a fire emergency, firefighters don't have time for niceties. They have lives and property to save. This person shouldn't have parked in front of a hydrant. It's common sense. And it's a law. Why should firefighters take the time to be considerate of such a person, when time itself is very, very much of the essence? This person did this to themselves.

kids in my year at school used to do this with salt and pepper shakers as well as swapping out the sugar with salt in the sugar dispensers... to them biggest laugh was getting the same person fooled over and over again having them throw out their lunch (and usually going hungry as lunches were pre ordered/paid) got me once, went to give a quick pour of sugar in my coffee, lid comes off pours maybe a whole tablespoon... and it's salt... much clapping & laughing from the back seat arses so I walk up to them and just drink the coffee... all... the.... coffee... to the bottom of the cup, yes it was disgusting (not that I showed it), but the look on their faces of "F**k how can he drink that", priceless. And they never tried or with the salt and pepper shakers either with me or for anyone else at that class's table

With the area next to the truck is not a parking space. I doubt the garage enforces this much. I would have parked farther over by a couple of feet. Truck looks like it's a beater, too. Why bother?

most taxi drivers in istanbul "choose" customers, they mostly prefer tourists or people who are travelling long distance. so they ask u where u r going before they let u in the car. they usuallt take the long, jammed route to make u pay more. if u argue, they may literally kick u out. they operate like mafia-untouchable. they even managed to frighten uber out! not much can be done since the mayor is elected from the opposing party and the government makes it its job to make things harder for him.

Always gets me when people can reject someone or call them names and can't handle it when it comes back at them! I can laugh at myself and any mistakes I make. I take full owner ship always. I also learned not to say anything behind someones back you wouldn't say to their face. So my kids have come and said this or that about me. I say yes I did! Let me tell you why. My kids are 30, 28 and 19! I have a great relationship with all. Only the 28 year old has moved out and we live in a 900 square foot apartment!

Running over someone else's candidate signs is political censorship. Evil is in the eye of the beholder and evil people's rights are still protected. You can condemn someone for their opinion and even sue them to stop them from saying something illegal but you don't have the right to use violence (using a car to destroy is violence) to repress it. I may not support the sign, but I'd get pretty irritated at someone driving over my lawn because they didn't agree with my views. I enjoy the privilege of free speech (which much of the world does not have). Some people feel the need to advertise their views on pretty much everything they own (So. Many. Flags.) which changes my view of them, but I don't think it justifies vandalism no matter how strongly I feel.

Only felonies lose voting rights, so all of them may not have lost those rights, unfortunately. If they have misdemeanor charges or probation then they likely weren't affected at all. That's also not counting all the ones who've never been looked into yet.

I get so sick of these "debates". Not everyone who voted for Trump is a racist, POS, inbred dummy. Not everyone who voted for Biden is a whiney, cry-baby snowflake. This isn't black and white. There is an overwhelming gray area. When there are really only 2 choices to pick from, sometimes you have to go with whose political promises you align with more and hope for the best. Instead of blaming the every day people, maybe we start holding the system accountable.

Karma hates me. I do something bad, get something bad. Whatever, thats normal, but then I do something good and get something bad! Like one time I returned someone's (really well done) project cause they had lost it outside somewhere and the rest of the day I wanted to go home and cry cause everyone decided I was undeserving of happiness. Then another time, helping a random stranger find a quarter they were looking for cause they were paying for something and dropped it. Nope, looks like I'm gonna have another shitty day

I've seen karma in my classroom at least twice with students who are somewhat unkind to their classmates, and in a pinch, when the mean students need something (paper, writing utensil, book) nobody will help out.

A local gay club was getting hate mail over prise this year for some events. They posted on Facebook that for every angry email they would donate an additional 50-100 bucks to the pride festival. They ended up dropping a ton of money before people finally got the memo and stopped.

I had to wear leather gloves every day as part of my required PPE while working in a chemical plant. The spare gloves were stored in the upstairs warehouse shelves. My work table was next to the rear shop door. Everybody used the shop as a hallway rather than going around. If I left my gloves out, day or night, I would come back and find them missing. Yep, somebody grabbed them rather than be burdened by the tortuous, excruciating, strength-robbing task of climbing one set of stairs. Ohh, the poor dears! The joke was continually on the thieves since I have a lot of palmer warts.

In the 90's, I came out to the pickup truck after lunch, only to find a nice gentleman waiting for me. He had seen a car hitting the truck while getting out of his parking spot, and the gentleman had taken the licence platw number for me. That was nice and totally unecessary. The offenders bumper, including license plate was on the ground next to the truck. What about the truck? It had a scuff mark on the side of a front tire. Who ever owned the Saab the bumper belonged to never got in touch, so after a couple of days rattelin on thw bed, I threw it away.

What's going on with the huge number of likes? I checked this and another post that came in the email notification and we're seeing over 1000 likes. I haven't been on BP for a few weeks, but have looked at a huge number of BP posts the past few years and it's rare to get more than say 400 likes. Is it bots or what?
