Japanese Hospital Food
People asked me to post pictures of the food I got during my hospital stay (6 days), so here it is. Only two months after the baby was born. Also, I completely lost my appetite while I was in the hospital and didn't manage to eat most of the food, which was very upsetting.
I’ve a feeling the Japanese don’t complain about hospital food, though I’m curious whether this IS yucky, crappy food as far as they’re concerned. These photos have made me RAVENOUS as Japanese food is tied with French as the tastiest I’ve ever had!

Chiba Urban Monorail In Japan
This looks like a piece of art someone has created to demonstrate what they think the future is like. Then again, Japan has seemed to be living in the future my whole life, so I’m not surprised it looks like this!

These Are Refrigerated Lockers To Store Your Groceries. Saw This At The Airport In Hokkaido, Japan
I’m trying and failing to think why someone would go to the airport with groceries, or perhaps blood samples. And you’re sposta pick your groceries (or blood samples) up before the end of the day, too. Only thing I can come up with is these exist in case your friend is out grocery shopping when you call to ask you to pick them up from the airport. Has anyine got any better ideas?

Rice Field Art In Japan
It’s a shame such artistry can only be appreciated if you’re flying over it in a plane, or hang gliding, or in a helicopter. I love that people take their time to do something for no other reason than to increase the enjoyment for a small number of people!

Japanese Government Sends Individuals Quarantining At Home, Free Care Packages. This Is How Much I Got

Does anyone know whether it’s 3D or just a flat poster? It looks like the former, but I’m thinking the latter is waaay easier to slap up everywhere. Japan suuure likes cats! 🐈
Mini Japanese Garden Between Seats On A Train To Kyoto
What?! I’m looking at a garden inside a TRAIN?! And here I was thinking how much I love to ride Amtrak and go to the dining car, and it’s simply a car with a counter in it, and all the seats are just … denim blue, I think. This looks like a restaurant, not a *train*! I love how much fuss Japan seems to make about EVERYTHING! But I spose I need to remind myself of the aerial photos of Tokyo and how incredibly, unbelievably congested it is, with approximately 1,024,000 people per square foot. (That might be a little hyperbole, but not much; hotel “rooms” are the size of coffins, and are for nothing but sleep.) (Too small even to sleep with a friend.) This page is showing us the absolute *best*, and it’s giving me the wrong idea about Japan, but still, I’m smiling like crazy while scrolling!
