Awesome. I love the detail of the skeleton, I also love the background and how it fades out with the cross hatching - there's just enough background to house the skeleton, but only just enough - so it feels a nice and claustrophobic, a little like a tomb/grave with a little imagination. Gives great depth. excellent. You could sell these, framed, but also include the pen that you used to create the art in the frame stuck on the canvas . That would make a really cool feature I think.

We reached out to Elena Strelnikova, an artist who specializes in handmade knitting and member of the Something I Made subreddit. Her recent post of this ocean blue sweater she made caught everyone’s attention, with members of community praising her skill and talent.

“I really like to create something. When I was 9 years old, a neighbor who knitted a lot gave me a skein of yarn and showed me how to knit loops. Initially, it seemed very tedious and boring, but I wanted to knit something so much that I continued my crooked knitting until I knitted a whole scarf and was very proud of myself,” Elena, who goes as Soulartes on Reddit, recounted.

Two Felted Fox is absolutely brilliant! When my first service dog, Big Sally, passed away, my partner had a needle felt replica made by Two Felted Fox. I ugly cried when I received it, because it was so lifelike, right down to her one wonky ear ❤️ We then had another done of Hedwig, who is my current service dog, and it is equally as amazing! Definitely recommend checking out their Etsy shop!

After neglecting knitting for twenty years, the artist refound her love of knitting when she got a dog. “It was my lovely Dina, who now has a few sweaters and overalls due to the cold winters in my area. Since then I have been knitting all the time,” Elena said, adding that knitting is her yoga and relaxation.

When asked about her signature handmade sweaters, Elena told us that they not only require a lot of time, but also a particular type of yarn and knitting skills. “This knitting technique is called entrelac and even a beginner can master it, and you can achieve the perfect result with experience,” she said.

For Elena, just like for many other members of the Something I Made community, the fact that she can create anything with her own hands is a special feeling. Moreover, since she lives in a cold region, “a warm sweater, hat and mittens are necessary.”

“I can knit things from natural, high-quality yarn that do not lose quality and appearance over the years. I have failures and sometimes I don’t knit for a long time, but when I get bored, I return to knitting again,” Elena told us. She also said that she loves it when her handmade things are worn by people in many countries of the world and it brings them joy.

omgosh it is just amazing!!! I am so impressed that you could visualize such an object and make it into reality in such a skilled manner. The ash is the perfect material for this project since it has the texture and grain to really bring out the fine details. Very fine work indeed.

The best part is the textures. The texture and details of the skin are absolutely fantastic. The biggest problem is the glasses. The left lens is far smaller than the right, the arms are going at completely different angles, and the left arm seems to be sitting outside of the left ear. The beard also looks spikey and unnatural.

It absolutely is. It’s PVC, so it flexes a lot without breaking. It does soften when it’s warm, so the only danger is it could slide off and she wouldn’t notice.

Sort of. This is a biblically accurate Serafin, which is a type of angelic being. Not the same type that appeared to most people, but specifically referred to in the book of Revelation. What's nissing is the eyes all over it's wings :)

It is actually a "biblically accurate" depiction of guardian angel called a Seraphim. Angels were not always depicted as the gorgeous and otherworldly spirit guardians. Definitely a little bit of nightmare fuel.

This gift looks really cute, colorful. I am not sure I would appreciate it though as I don't like clutter. The most I would want as an ornament is some pictures to hang and some flowers. My aunt is super creative and makes a lot if things but she has so much clutter at home and now when she has to move, I am doing my best to pack everything but it is so tiring. She also has many gifts which just catch dust but she is not going to give it away as it is a gift... Unless you know that the person will really appreciate it, don't give them random stuff, however cute it is. Some people have hard time to get rid of it after and get so depressed about the clutter:(
