You can't really class it as a mug though as it has been made in to an adorable little scene with resin filling the inside of the mug, this is an ornament. Also it's a cup and saucer. 10/10 would buy though.

Imagine how weird and boring life would be if mugs and cups didn’t exist in our timeline. We’d probably end up drinking coffee from giant bowls or making tea in thimbles. Though that sounds like a world we’d love to see, we’re also very glad that we can enjoy a hot drink in peace.
It’s surprising how much a cup of tea or coffee can help you relax when you’re stressed. It warms you up. It distracts you. It gives you an excuse to get up from your computer (or whatever else might be stressing you) and just look out the window for a few minutes. It’s a mini dose of meditation, in a mug.

Yeah, and I am always trying to spot the ones my 80 year old mother still has the saucer from. Kept for 50 years or so.
We’re firm believers that all items ought to be used instead of just being displayed. “Honey, get the fancy [insert dinnerware or piece of cutlery of choice]” is a mindset that leads you to put off pleasant experiences while waiting for some ‘perfect’ alignment of circumstances.

I love it! This is another piece of pottery (I don't know a better word to use instead of "piece" of pottery, sorry) I have seen recently on BP that is really motivating me to take up pottery in the very near future (not really a bucket list, exactly, just a thing I REALLY want to do, soon!). I like the gradient effect.

Hello, soon-to-be-potter! I've been a potter for almost 2 decades now (with pauses in-between). You can absolutely call it a "pottery piece," no potter would get offended by it (except if they're a snob, ha). When starting off, first off, lower your expectations. Everybody sucks at pottery when they start off because most of the time people don't usually have access to clay as readily as they have paper, such as with drawing. Thus, it might take some time to get used to the technological demands of clay as a material and familiarizing yourself with it. But that's all part of the process. Once your first piece comes out of the kiln, you might just get hooked for life :)

However, at the same time, we can’t really fault anyone for having a large display cabinet full of their favorite china. Like it or not, many of us are already mug collectors, whether we feel like that or not.

As it turns out, people really like mugs. Or rather, they love the cool and quirky designs, the aesthetics, and the out-of-the-box thinking some artists have.
Any large internet community survives and thrives thanks to its rules, as well as how good its moderating team is. If the rules are too vague or too loosely enforced, you’ll get chaos. On the flip side, if the mod team is quick to react to any potential issues and all the members are on the same page, what you get is an active, healthy group with a single-minded focus. In this case, mugs.

Last time I moved I discovered the owner of the building I was leaving stole a box of my dishes between one of my trips taking things to the new apartment. In it were some of my favorite mugs - a giant cobalt blue glass one from a visit it Washington DC, a Daryl Dixon "Claimed" one, and one shaped like a cauldron that said "Wiccan" on it. I miss them.

I had a st of 3 mugs years ago (they got damaged in a move) that I've been trying to replace, but can't find anymore. They were light brown with a skull, and underneath the skull on each mug, was "arsenic", "cyanide", and I can't remember the third one (cocaine, I think). On the inside, bottom of the mug, it says "End of the line". Been trying to find replacements for these for over 20 years now.

On the inside, bottom of the mug, it says "End of the line". Been trying to find replacements for these for over 20 years now.

Art teacher here. We made face pots in class and some of the students wanted to add a handle and asked how you make a pulled handle. I told them there was no way I was going to show them. Thank god for Google.
