This should make you even more aware of how remarkable the human body is, that each of those teeth has a particular place to be, and they mostly end up in the proper place. (Yes, all living things are remarkable.)

Dermoid cysts or teratoma. I had mine taken out with one of my ovaries. I wanted to see it after the survey but I wasn't allowed.

Oh, I've seen one in the lab I was working during summer when I was at university. They always check for tumor when extracting cyst. It's honnestly pretty weird to find hair and teeth in an ovarien cyst but this type of cyst apparently never turn into cancer.

Unfortunately, that isn't true. Teratomas can be mature or immature. In a mature lesion, the different types of tissue present (like intestinal mucosa, glands, muscle, cartilage etc) are fully mature and look identical to the appearance of the cells in the tissue in its proper location, so gut lining in a mature teratoma looks like gut lining in the normal gut. In an immature teratoma, the cells in the tumour are still recognisable as different tissues, but they recapitulate the appearance of cells at an earlier stage of development, so liver in an immature teratoma looks like liver found in an early fetus, not an adult. Mature teratomas are more common, and they've a 2% risk of malignant transformation, but the risk for immature teratomas is much higher.

Yes teratoma. My granddaughter at 14 had a 2.2 pound teratoma removed from her chest. Unfortunately they had to crack her chest open but it was not cancerous so that was good news. Usually in the chest they are not. Her tumor didn't have teeth or hair but it did have skin cells in it. Hers was very dangerous, it was resting on her heart and up against her esophagus. She always had a cough and became hard for her to breathe. She had to go to a special children's hospital out of the area. She is fine now

Just a fun FYI for those wondering what happens when cell differentiation gets the very wrong messsage whatw to be, in the simplest terms. I work in surgery, this is true, they are called teratomas or dermoid cysts and we remove probably one a month or so. If they contain anything it's typically teeth and/or hair. I have yet to take one out of a male, but men can grow them, it just isn't quite as common.

This isn't quite accurate. Yes, it can happen, but it's pretty rare, it happens when there's a hole in the membranes around your brain or spinal cord, not just to reduce brain pressure, there's usually other symptoms associated with it, and if it does happen, you should see a doctor. It can heal on its own, but it also puts you at a risk for meningitis.

I have vision loss in some parts of my eyes (I'm going to a eye specialist on tuesday and I'm scared of what might be wrong) so my brain does this all the time, it's really weird because sometimes I don't see things because they're at the "wrong" place for my eyes and they just fill out the gap with whatever is beside. So like on a paper some of the things that's written/printed on it is gone and the space is just white.

Eat it fresh out?! That's a bit much. I mean other mammals do it but I can't wrap my brain around a human doing that. Haven't looked this up recently, but I've heard of drying it out and putting into a pill form and just taking it like a daily vitamin. Edit: if you've eaten a fresh placenta, no shade to you.
