This should make you even more aware of how remarkable the human body is, that each of those teeth has a particular place to be, and they mostly end up in the proper place. (Yes, all living things are remarkable.)

This isn't quite accurate. Yes, it can happen, but it's pretty rare, it happens when there's a hole in the membranes around your brain or spinal cord, not just to reduce brain pressure, there's usually other symptoms associated with it, and if it does happen, you should see a doctor. It can heal on its own, but it also puts you at a risk for meningitis.

Oh god, this happened to my mom, as well. It was a nightmare for all involved. Trying to explain Kegel exercises to a woman in her 70s (who is also your mother) was… not fun. I had no luck explaining to her which muscles to work. My family has very few personal boundaries (no banjo music type stuff though, thank you) and I was nearly ready to have her put a finger up there OBGYN-exam style into my body and do a Kegel so she’d know what I was talking about. Though she probably still wouldn’t have understood how to flex the same muscle in her body. XD

Uterine prolapse is most typical after childbirth or due to trauma of other natures, abnd you can be strong AF and still experrience it. Don't assume it's about her muscular strength. Pelvic floors are complicated networks of connective tissue and bone. .... MD (And, no, Kegels won't prevent it, but they reduce likelihood.)

I’ve actually seen this when I was a nurse. Elderly ladies, their cervix was so fallen down it was visible. They used something called a pessary to deal with that. As much as I’ll write or everyone will be racing for the brain bleach.

When I worked in a nursing home, this was a frequent issue for the cna’s . We would have to lift very tall men or use a hoyer lift for super obese patients. I lasted a few years but couldn’t hack it and the strain on my body. This was 25yrs ago and I hope things have changed but not enough staff to go around and I doubt it’s gotten much better.

This is the worst way of describing how uterine prolapse occurs that I have ever heard. Don’t do Kegels/pelvic floor exercise until you are and adult (well into your 20’s) or are pregnant and don’t do more then suggested. Too much and too soon can screw things up just as much as not enough.

This used to be very common in women who gave birth to loads of kids. My great aunt was a midwife in a very poor area in the 30s and 40s, where women often gave birth to 10+ kids and would often suffer all sorts of complications and health issues because of it. I'll never forget my great aunt telling me stories of elderly women who would shove vegetables inside themselves to hold everything in place and stop their uterus from sliding out, many were too ashamed to tell anyone or seek medical help.

I don't know how to really do kegels. I think I do them all the time but I just don't know it. When I was in prenatal class the instructor described to us it's a muscle that's in the shape of a figure 8 and you're supposed to contract and release it in different parts. I cannot possibly know what I'm doing based on that monologue. I don't even know if I'm contracting or releasing. It frustrates me so much. But since this uterus falling out hasn't happened to me I guess I'm good on that.

Women over 50 should never lift anything heavy. It can make their pelvic floor fall. Not prolapse but tear and not be where it should be causing incontinence of the bladder. Surgery can sometimes fix it. I'm not a doctor so don't know the procedures needed.

If you aren't a doctor, you probably shouldn't say blanket health statements like "women over 50 shouldn't..." There's no way that applies to every woman over 50 and just perpetuates the whole weaker-sex thing.

So it'll take what little information it was able to grab and fill in the missing blanks. There's another way your brain kind of lies to you. If you cover one, the reason you don't see a big black void in your vision is because the brain basically makes up and fills in the missing parts based on the surroundings.

I have vision loss in some parts of my eyes (I'm going to a eye specialist on tuesday and I'm scared of what might be wrong) so my brain does this all the time, it's really weird because sometimes I don't see things because they're at the "wrong" place for my eyes and they just fill out the gap with whatever is beside. So like on a paper some of the things that's written/printed on it is gone and the space is just white.

Haven't looked this up recently, but I've heard of drying it out and putting into a pill form and just taking it like a daily vitamin. Edit: if you've eaten a fresh placenta, no shade to you.
