30 Times People Uncovered Such Fake Instagrammers, It’s Borderline Ridiculous (New Pics)
More and more of us are staying at home during the pandemic, so it’s only natural that more of our free time is spent online and on social media. With that, more people are noticing just how much fakeness there is on Instagram and posting their finds on the Instagram Reality subreddit which has over 767k members.
We’ve collected a list of some of the very best new fake IG pics from r/Instagramreality, so scroll down and upvote your faves. Be sure to have a look through their subreddit for the shamelessly altered latest pics. And you can check out more of our posts about Instagram vs. Reality right here, here, and here.
According to the r/Instagramreality mods, their membership has increased a bit during the coronavirus quarantine. "It’s always steadily growing though, so it’s hard to say if that's from the pandemic or just normal influx. The amount of more 'natural' Instagram posts might have increased a little, but it hasn’t really been noteworthy. There’s still a lot of editing and trickery."
"I think the amount of celebrities wanting to appear “just like us” without makeup and being more natural is going to increase as the days go by. Instagram users don’t want to see done up, edited to hell and back pictures when they’re stuck in the house. The influencer is going to realize that, I’m sure," the mods told Bored Panda.

This Just Makes Me Laugh
Ever Wondered Why The Clothes You Ordered Don’t Fit You Like They Do The Models?
Celebrities have all their clothes adjusted to fit them properly, I'm not surprised by this...
Why?... This Is.. Wow Why Do People Hate Themselves This Much?
In a previous interview with Bored Panda, the Instagram Reality moderators told us exactly why some people alter their pictures so much. “Insecurity, envy, money. Take the girl sitting next to you in Statistics who's scrolling through her latest selfie shoot and disappointingly thinks to herself, ‘[Damn], is that a pimple? I can't let people see that, it's embarrassing.'”
“She casually opens up FaceTune, smooths out the pimple, and boom—now there's an image she feels comfortable sharing online. Unbeknownst to her, there's a seed that's been planted in her mind now that it's as easy as using this app to change anything she finds unattractive about herself at any time, then it snowballs; from taking in just a bit of your tummy for a more slender silhouette until eventually she's landed on a waist the size of her neck."

I Didn’t Know Rays Of The Sunlight Could Bend!
According to the Instagram Reality moderators, people start off with small changes and alterations which eventually leads to bigger and more noticeable alterations.
“The light improvements are so gradual over time, she stops noticing that the waist she's creating is 1.) of course, not hers 2.) (as we often see on Instagram Reality), anatomically impossible, and 3.) that she's now set an expectation subconsciously for herself (and outwardly for anyone following her) that she needs to keep up this flawless appearance; which means sticking to the edits she's made for every photo she posts in the future. What she doesn't realize is in this process, she's simultaneously creating and constantly reinforcing her own insecurities."

It Gets Worse The More You Look
Known For Editing Her Breasts Often- She Forgot To Edit One This Time
The mods told us that everyone wants to be loved, desired, and to feel like they belong. “The harsh, scary truth of the matter for anyone is that the more you resemble what people around you consider universally attractive, the more likely you are to have access to those things in your life.”
“So, you begin to think, ‘Well, what do I need to change about myself to fit in? How do I become more attractive?’ Based on what magazine covers and many an Instagram Explore page shows you, that image is a tall, long-haired, fair-skinned woman with smooth skin, a slim yet hourglass figure—oh, and don't forget, the perfect butt. In comes photo editing apps, offering you the chance to finally be her. Even if it's only online."
Insta Pics vs. TV Candid. Also, He Licked A Public Toilet For The “Coronavirus Challenge” And Now He Has Covid-19
Since he is photoshopping so much, how come he hasn't changed that stupid looking haircut?
I would like to have blamed it on macho male ego but I’ve seen several women do this too. Come on, really girls. We’re trying to tell the world we’re smart and capable and the only equality we show by doing this s**t is that we’re equally as “stupid”.

He should have more than that licking a f*****g toilet. Also, wtf is the Corona virus challenge? There's nothing challenging about a virus that can kill you.
Plenty good enough, all these warnings that are put out all over the world are not meant for a donkey like him, if it kills him there is no one else to blame but himself.
Karma's a b***h lol! My man is freaking out about the 'coronavirus challenge' of licking public toilets lol, he hadn't heard about it lol! I saw one of a girl licking a toilet seat on a plane! F**k me, I don't even like doing the toilet in a public toilet, never mind licking the fkr!
How many times has someone seen him and walked away before saying hi after agreeing to meet on tinder?
He’s not a bad looking kid, I am not understanding why he thinks he should alter that much in photos.
Looks a little bit like a broom. Wouldn't want to play quidditch with him, though.
Natural selection is going to rid the world of a lot of morons with this plague
When You See It
The Hands Really Got Me
The Instagram Reality subreddit, created 2 years ago by u/Zaza9000 who wanted to create a platform to expose the fakeness of IG to people who are being fooled, is a great supporter of inclusivity. “All races, body types and genders need to be fairly represented in the media. In the long run, the only way to reduce our obsession with self-image is to normalize those we see in the media; not just celebrating how they look, but who they are as a person."

Why Do People Photoshop So Much When We Know What They Really Look Like?
It’s Sad Cus She’s Attractive And Doesn’t Need To Do This But It’s Too Obvious!
The real question is: who is consuming the pictures from all these superfluous Instagram accounts?
These are really sad. The fact that people want to change how they look for the satisfaction of others is depressing. I'm being honest when I say, I would rather see a real person than a fake. And I'm sure people would be much happier being themselves and not having to live up to such standards.
This got me curious : Do people ever turn around and leave when it's time to meet some of those photoshop/filter addicts in real life, like on a date or something ? Some of these people remove 20 years of their age with that stuff!
Isn't it sad that so many people hate themselves that they have to put fake images out there. They should know that they are fooling no one, not even themselves, because no matter how much they photo shop or filter, it does not change the way they really look and that is what everyone sees and what they see in the mirror. Most of them need to see a psychiatrist.
I love everyone’s comments as th photos are too ridiculous for words!
Humanity has been driven to this idea of the best looking rules, goes so far back to before Egyptian times. So many wanted to look like them , most likely not because they wanted to be the other person, but the other person (King and Queens, Leaders, Stars, people in the lime light), this mental problem to be like someone has been driven. This is far more the a small issue, this is about the mind and they have understood this mind tripping c**p. This is sad, we all belong here and looks are not everything. Now with this corona time, pay attention and your life does not require looks, stop being driven. I pray all help heal this mind that can not ever be another person, like you and know you look good in your heart, love yourself, close your eyes and you will see you are the same, beautiful , stop hurting you.
Now that I've seen these i want to get photoshop just to see how hideous i can make myself lol
I don't get it. Why do these people try to make themselves look like aliens? Am I too old to understand?
Because they see more and more people online look like this and think it's a beauty standard they need to meet too. They're very insecure about their looks and heavily overcompensate in a way that looks ridiculous

Maybe we can have a moratorium on these "Influencers are morons" posts? It's been covered again and again, and it doesn't become any less freakish.
