“Their Greed Knows No Limit”: 50 Times Insanely Rich People Got Shamed On This Online Community
The billionaire population not only surged during the pandemic with the record total of super rich reaching an unprecedented 2,755, their fortunes also boomed. The numbers reached highs that were previously deemed impossible to achieve in a single lifetime.
Think of Tesla’s Elon Musk, who grew his fortune from $25bn to more than $150bn. Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos is the world’s richest person for the 4th year running, worth $177 billion, up $64 billion from a year ago as a result of surging Amazon shares. Today, according to this recent report, billionaires are wealthier than half the planet.
No wonder that so many people see the whole situation as disturbing and unfair, hence this Reddit community that observes, analyzes and discusses the insanely super rich. Welcome to “Greed Incorporated,” the relatively new subreddit created in 2021 that gathered people who just can’t sit and stay silent about greed with no limits. Below we wrapped up some of the most eye-opening and disturbing posts shared here.

The anti-poverty charity Oxfam reported that the world's 10 richest men had their wealth doubled, from $700 billion to $1.5 trillion, during the pandemic, a mindblowing rate equal to $15,000 per second. Nine of the planet’s 10 richest people are Americans.
According to Irit Tamir, the director of Oxfam's private sector development, the wealth gap is nothing new, but its new record heights are nothing economists have seen or imagined before. "The gap between the rich and the poor was increasing even before the pandemic started. But the pandemic supercharged this in a whole host of ways."

Tamir argues that in terms of the wealth gap, "We are in an even more outrageous situation than we were last year or the year before." He added in an interview for CBS News that "Wealth is begetting wealth, and it becomes exponential.” The director of Oxfam’s private sector development said that he fears by next year, those numbers will only continue to increase and that gap will only widen. Moreover, in Oxfam's view, rising inequality poses risks to billions of people across the world, who aren't sharing in the same gains in wealth and may be cut off from equal access to health care, vaccines and economic opportunity.

Right that's it....I'm lazy. We work long hours for mediocre pay so the rich could become richer by exploiting the workers but nah...we're just lazy.

If this is true, kudos to him for not being a billionaire d**k and actually being a good guy.
Meanwhile, Abigail Disney, a spokeswoman for higher taxes on the rich and better wages for workers, believes that inequality is widening after years of weakened support for unions and changes in regulations that were meant to protect ordinary Americans. Lawmakers have cut taxes on the richest earners since the 1980s with the idea they would use the extra income to create jobs and economic opportunity, yet research has found that hasn't happened—and the tax cuts only helped the rich.
Disney wrote in the report: "Society was riddled with cracks when we started this pandemic—cracks which have widened into fault lines. There is more than enough money to solve most of the world's problems. It's just being held in the hands of millionaires and billionaires who aren't paying their fair share."

Why not both ? You can't struggle to improve society if you are already struggling to survive. That's the 2 legs of the unions: one to improve every day live, the other to improve society.

Anyone else think it's weird how the super-rich churches keep telling us that 'the meek shall inherit the earth'?
Many of them don't. Check out 'prosperity theology'. It's all about how being healthy and wealthy is God's will and anyone who is poor or sick totally deserves it. Pretty nasty stuff.
Load More Replies...As a Christian, I hate megachurches and their fraudster "pastors" more than just about anything. They think Jesus is proud of them, when it's exactly the opposite.
Honestly, I think most of them are atheist and don't believe in anything that has to do with religion. They are narcissistic scammers playing on the ignorance of their marks.
Load More Replies...There should be no tax exemption for religious organizations. Large non-profits could be lumped into that too.
I feel that Jesus would be shocked at a church that size and the ostentatiousness of it. Disgusting......kind of like the Vatican
Amen brothers and sisters, and power to Kenneth, and Gloria, and Benny, and Joyce, and , Joel, and, oh hell, there are too many to mention.
There is a reason for this, separation of church and state. Remember, just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean no one believes in God. Also, many churches are way more effective at humanitarian aid than governments.
Nobody is complaining about the community church down the block that runs a soup kitchen on Wednesdays and a canned food drive during the holidays. People are complaining about billionaire megachurches that steal from their parishioners who can barely afford to pay their own bills.

I’m convinced most people don’t know what socialism means. Socialism ain’t Communism. A Capitalist society filled with some socialist policies is always amazing. The only time socialism is bad is when it devolves into Communism. Communism has never worked, but Capitalist societies with plenty of socialist policies rule.

I Expect Nothing Less From A System With Greed As Its Core Value, Yet I'm Still Bothered By It
It's true. When I moved into my first flat as a teenager, I took out contents insurance with what I thought was a reputable company; Lloyds of London. I paid my premiums on time every time. Then I was burgled. They took the usual stuff; hi-fi, keyboard/synth, cds, videos (that's how long ago it was!) and a gold watch. The watch had been given to me on my eighteenth birthday by my great aunt. It had belonged to her husband who had died young so it was upsetting that it had been pinched. It was worth £1000 but far more than that sentimentally. I claimed. The loss adjuster came out and filed a report. They offered £400. After battling them for months, I finally got them up to £1000 and I was so fed up of it all that I just accepted. I am sure that's what they were relying on. Just keep grinding me down with insulting offers until I'd had enough and just wanted an end to it all. I got about half of what I claimed for. Insurers do not provide a service. They are a for-profit business and operate as such. That's why I despise them.

Is There A Way We Can Make Money Off "Eat The Rich"?
A Milestone
So how do we evolve from ranting on social media to actively seeking to replace the rich old white men that run this show?
Remember the good old days? When only one parent worked and they could afford a mortgage and 2 cars? What was different then? Unions. Unions were big in those days. Unions force the suits to share the wealth. After all, just who is doing all the labor to make those companies so successful? Don't believe the anti-union propaganda that those companies throw around. Spending probably millions to convince their laborers that unions are bad. Don't believe them.
This won't change as long as people don't stick together. The rich can get organized by paying people to get organized. We don't have that means. But we should do it for our own sake right? There are far too many still living in their fantasy to bother, and would even vote for what's bad for them.
The more people have, the more selfish and greedy some can get 💀😔🥺 Reminds me of a huge scandal in Spain, the typical stealing money and putting it in your pocket type

If America suddenly has a Revolution, none of it will be surprising. At this point, it needs to happen.
"Anyone can...!" myth was great for getting the country settled (US, I mean) but realistically? It's as BS as saying Ukraine is Russian. The end.
So… are anyone going to actually do something? Or are y’all waiting for the total collaps?
It has come to the point that I am amazed. “Solving hunger in America” isn’t a math problem, it’s a marathon of a solution. To solve hunger in America you’d actually have to reprogram how people think, how good is distributed and then you’d have to account for the mysterious groups of people who have suddenly decided that they cannot afford to feed themselves anymore BUT they sure as hell can afford everything else they have.
So then let's get training for that marathon. We can implement these types of programs because we've done it before. And stop that capitalist gaslighting about how feeding the hungry will only lead to millions of people scamming the system, because it's just not true. Just because a person owns a home or smartphone doesn't make them ineligible for food assistance. We live in the wealthiest country in the world. Our citizens shouldn't have to choose between shelter, healthcare, or food.
