At first glance, it might not seem like it, but being an influencer can be hard. In such a competitive and fast-paced industry, a social media person must have a great brand strategy, be consistent, create original content, and be on top of every trend to keep their audience coming back for more. All while trying to maintain their shiny image so they would receive brand deals and earn a living.
However, to attract viewers, get clicks, and gain followers, some influencers go too far without realizing that what they’re doing is ignorant and sometimes even downright wrong. Unfortunately for them, their wrongdoings usually don’t go unnoticed and end up on the news for everyone to see and shame. And Instagram account Influencers In The Wild has done a great job at gathering some of the most shocking ones. Keep scrolling to find them, and don’t forget to let us know your thoughts down below.

Instagram influencer Kat Torres has been sentenced to eight years in prison for human trafficking and slavery of a young Brazilian woman. Torres, a former model who claimed to have spiritual powers, lured vulnerable followers to live with her in the US, promising to help them achieve their dreams. She coerced them into working as strippers and prostitutes, taking their earnings and isolating them from friends and family. The FBI became involved when two women were reported missing, leading to a search that ended with their rescue. Torres denies all allegations, but over 20 women have reported being scammed or exploited by her.
20 women and she got only 8 years? It doesn't sound like she was some more or less innocent trafficer (she wasn't just driving a truck), it sounds like she was the head of the operation. I don't know if is it possible to traffic people alone, but it doesn't sound possible. And she had to sell them to some pimp or was she doing all those things? Because it sounds like organized crime and 8 years sounds like pretty light sentence.
US treats slavery mainly as an economic crime. Not kidnapping, as it should
Load More Replies...Influencer? No, a human trafficker and a pimp. And yes, useless influencer.
8 YEARS?! That's ALL?! She needs to rot in there forever for all the lives she ruined!
This post effectively highlights how some influencers take extreme measures for attention, but the real takeaway is that authenticity and integrity should always come first for building a loyal audience.
Social media influencer Natalie Reynolds is accused of coaxing a non-swimmer into jumping into Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas, during a live stream, then abandoning the scene when the woman cried for help. Reynolds paid the woman $20 as part of a scavenger hunt challenge. The woman, who expressed her inability to swim, dove into the lake and struggled in the water. Reynolds panicked and fled the scene, leaving the woman to struggle. Emergency responders were dispatched to the lake, and the woman was rescued. Reynolds defended her actions in a subsequent live stream, claiming she left at the behest of her team.
It is important to know that the woman who accepted the 20 bucks is a bit mentally impaired...that is why she accepted. She is not dumb
Yeah this was a pretty important detail they left out here
Load More Replies...These so called influences are just mean nasty wannabes who don't give a f--- about anyone but themselves.
Oh well, as long as your team are ALSO pieces of s**t I guess it's fine then ... How did she even think that was a defence?
At this point, you should have to fill out a permit to open a social media account
“A 17-year-old YouTuber from Bennet, Nebraska has been charged with two felony counts for allegedly causing a train derailment to create content for his YouTube channel. The incident occurred on April 21, 2024, resulting in over $350,000 in damages. The teen reportedly tampered with a switch, causing a BNSF train to collide with a damaged coal car on a repair track.”
That's not about the damages caused, at this point, but it should be treated as attempted murder! He put the train operator's life in danger!!! And that's why I hate influencers with a passion!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES! Unless you count weratedogs as an influencer, i like that...
Load More Replies...this person should be banned for life from youtube. Not sure how that can be enforced, but this deserves a helluva big punishment.
And his punishment should be detassling. Trust me, it's hellish.
Load More Replies...what on earth? do people have no brains? what kind of video includes derailing a train?
Not only a terrible person, but dumb as rocks. He got caught because the initial investigation from the authorities failed to determine a cause and he posted online saying it was obvious the switch was in the wrong place. When you combine the fact that he knew that with his serendipitous presence in the exact right place and right time to film it ... it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to put those pieces together.
Get a video that would go viral. It's like that Brazilian crime reporter who ensured his camera people were first on the scene at murders by organising the crimes himself, only dumber and way less successful because the idiot got caught on his first video whereas the Brazilian had quite a successful career before he was caught.

Over the past 20 years, the influencer industry has grown from nothing to a $21 billion empire that has changed our culture and the way information is received, produced, marketed, and shared forever.
This industry was born in the early 2000s, when software such as WordPress and Blogger made self-publishing possible for anyone in the world who has a computer. Later, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, and X normalized regular people creating content online. The first social media companies introduced themselves as more authentic and democratic—a strategy that successfully continues to guide them today.
It was only a matter of time until we had the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory of mommy bloggers. I’m sure most of them mean no harm, but we’ve all seen those mommy bloggers who seem a little “too perfect”. I never assumed it went this dark, but it was always at least a little off putting. Full details below:
Ruby Franke, a former YouTube “momfluencer” was sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of aggravated child abuse.
Her business partner, Jodi Hildebrand, received the same sentence for her role in the cruelty.
In her plea agreement, Franke admitted to physically torturing her 12-year-old son, holding his head under water, depriving him food, and tying up his hands and feet after he attempted to escape.
Franke’s 9-year-old daughter endured similar abuse.
Franke hid the abuse for years and documented her family’s daily life in Utah on her popular YouTube channel “8 Passengers.”
It was only discovered when her son managed to escape and ran to a neighbouring house. Luckily the neighbour was in and believed the boy straight away and called the police.
He believed the boy because the poor kid had wounds on his wrists and ankles where he'd been tied up. I saw the video of when they found the daughter inside the house - she was locked in a closet and afraid to come out. The police officer sat down on the floor with her and just waited. It took a few hours because she was so terrified she couldn't even talk.
Load More Replies...The WORST part: In her first hearing Franke tried to convince the judge that her kids were at fault and that her way of treating them was justified. She said that her 12 year old son was addicted to p*rn and was dangerous to her other kids. Which was a total lie. She is human garbage through and through.
She's part of the Mormon faith. Whenever I'm watching true crime videos and they even mention someone is Mormon, you know immediately it is going to get DARK.
My mom is the great, taking the best care of her kids she can is her priority and I can tell you that with three kids she has never had time to "mommy blog". The thought of her putting on false eyelashes, botoxing her lips, and spending hours on her makeup to blog would be absurd, so I suspect that many of these "mommy bloggers' are, in fact, not prioritizing the care of their children.
I had one of those. My adoptive parent. It's been 28 years and I ran across the country to get away. I don't miss her.
Load More Replies...Never have, never will, never would. Always found them exploiting to an abusive degree. Never could stand it. “Reaction to little Billy’s bad grades, his following breakdown and doubts about his worth as a person - LOL!” Actually, Barbara; I’m not laughing. Neither is Billy. TikTok star Katie Sigmond faces criminal charges for hitting a golf ball into the Grand Canyon.
The now-viral video of the incident shows that when Sigmond swung to hit the ball, part of the club went flying.
The national park addressed the video from its Facebook page saying, “Do we really need to say, ‘don’t hit golf balls into the Grand Canyon?’"
by her self, with no cameras nor any other technical equipment present, only a water bottle!
Load More Replies..."Star"????? Why do we call these useless mouth-breathers "stars"?!?!?!?!
It's hilarious that they've turned the description, 'Attention Seeker' into 'Influencer.'
Why encourage these people with statements like: "TikTok star Katie Sigmond..." Instead write: "Young woman faces criminal charges for hitting a golf ball into the Grand Canyon."
Someone just tried base jumping off the South Rim. Recovering his corpse was very expensive.
Serious question: is throwing garbage (a ball) into Grand Canyon a bigger problem than throwing it anywhere else. Is it more dangerous (for other people or nature, not for the littering person)? Just to be clear, I am NOT saying she didn't do anythibg wrong, I am seriously curious if there is a bigger issue I don't know about
She could have killed a person or animal below. In addition to damaging the actual canyon.
Load More Replies...'Do we really need to say ...' yes, whatever it is, yes you need to say it because people are stupid.
To br fair, lets admit that there are already an astonishing number of soda cans and water bottles tossed down there . . .
Of all the ‘sins’ I’ve seen performed by these people, to me this is one of the less odious ones. As long as the Canyon didn’t have people at the bottom, at the time. It must be very tempting to throw a rock down, as a way of connecting and hearing and seeing how deep it is (not as a way of being destructive), so hitting a golf ball is one on from that. And of all the cråp and litter we have infested the world with, a golf ball really isn’t that bad. She certainly shouldn’t be compared to the guy who deliberately derailed a train.
I’m honestly shocked to find out that the entire world revolves around every single person. I did not know this, but looking back, there were signs.
“A Tennessee woman, identified as Katie Miller, filmed herself at a grocery store checkout line, claiming a man behind her was staring. However, many online users pointed out that the man was simply waiting for a self-checkout kiosk and not acting inappropriately. The woman’s actions were seen as a bid for online attention and sparked widespread criticism.”
He was probably looking at her because he's thinking "why is that woman filming me?"
Or "Why is that woman taking so long to scan a bottle of sauvingnon blanc and a tin of cat food?"

They're are lots of people on OnlyFans that aren't doing porn or nudity.
Load More Replies...Interestingly, the 2008 financial crisis and the Great Recession that followed shortly after encouraged the industry's growth, as many unemployed people turned to blogging and social media to show they hadn’t gone anywhere. That’s what made them authentic and trustworthy—they were just like ‘the rest of us,’ struggling amidst economic and professional crises and trying to connect with others.
Marketers, of course, took advantage of this and began to monetize the relationship between early influencers and their followers. Suddenly, paying for a shout-out with money or free products became possible for brands, and sponsored content was born.
This kid sucks
In November of 2021, YouTuber Trevor Jacob jumped out of a plane, allowing it to crash. He uploaded footage of the crash in a video titled “I Crashed My Plane.”
According to the Department of Justice, Jacob recently pleaded guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation, a charge that could carry a sentence of 20 years in prison.
Dude had a PLANE he could spare but still felt the need to chase YouTube likes? That's completely psychotic.
He also used spreading his dead friend’s ashes as clickbait in the same video, after talking about his friend rolled straight into a sponsor ad too.

At least it should make the prosecutions' job easier. You have to be really dumb to flee the police, you have to be super concentrated dumb to film your getaway.
Not just film it, but choose to upload it! I am baffled at the sheer stupidity, but I do love when the trash takes itself out!

Hitchin Lavender, a farm in Hertfordshire, has urged visitors to stop damaging their lavender plants by sitting or lying on them for social media photos. Director Tim Hunter posted a video showing destroyed plants and pleaded for visitors to not ‘kill our lavender’. The lavender fields have taken 10 years to cultivate, with some plants being 20 years old. While grateful for visitors, Hunter expressed concern about those who take photo opportunities ‘a bit too far’. The farm has put up signs advising proper behavior, but the increasing popularity has led to more damage for the sake of 10-second photos.
Fences, video surveillance, law suits, arrests. The complete spiel! Get them.
We were there last week. Everyone was being respectful of the lavender and sunflowers. You can take pictures and not ruin the lavender. Laying down on the flowers will most likely result in being stung by bees.
Yep, I completely feel for Hitchin Lavender. There is a vinyard on our land and we also have horses, goats, alpaca, etc. We had people who would drive up the little private road to our home & try to walk around in our pastures to touch our animals (and feed them inappropriate things!) or try to get into the vinyard from the back side. We ended up having to install a large gate because a-hole people think that they have the right to access or do any & everything in the name of "content." There needs to be a law that this s**t can't be monetized. If Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube and all the stores that have "influencer programs" didn't offer pay for views or any sort of reward or free product, these absolute wastes of oxygen would have no reason to do this idiocy. I blame not only the influencers, but the companies that created and reward this BS!
sorry you have to deal with that on your property. those people suck. have you tried watchgeese? a couple of free roaming a*****e geese should keep your horses from getting snacks that will make them sick. although if the trespassers p**s off the alpacas i am sure they will learn their lesson.

It’s not trespass when you’ve paid an entrance fee

The first drawback the authors of this study mention is that career and pay are unpredictable, as contracts are often short and job protection is limited. Earnings for those who get paid can range anywhere from £10 to £10,000 for one post. On average, monthly salaries for micro-influencers (1,000 to 10,000 followers) are about £1,135 per month, while for “mega-influencers” (over 1 million followers), it’s £12,279.

I hope those two women are charged too, and that they all three goes to jail. But I would like to know if anyone was in the Lamborghini at the time?
How did the pilot agree to be part of this? Permanently revoke his license!
broke the law by not getting a permit, so I wonder if they would've given him a permit had he gone that route
*shrug* Probably not; lots of things are legal in California, but fireworks are not. For some people, disrespecting an old historical church hurts peoples' sense of decency. The lack of respect for something so important for local people is horrible. I am not a religous person, but these old buildings are beautiful, and should be admired for their beauty.

Dingoes are being shot because some have lost their natural fear of humans and are becoming "problems." It's idiots like this who are making the situation worse.
DESENSITIZING ANIMALS TO HUMANS GETS THEM KILLED! This goes out to every f*****g tourist in the world! Just because a wild animal tolerates you, or even seems to want to be your friend or want food, it doesn't mean you should be with them! If they lose wariness of humans, they come into town, and we have to put them down. If they rely on humans for food they can get aggressive when humans don't feed them, and we have to put them down. When you're on a trip and you stop to take photos with wild animals in the frame, you're putting them in jeopardy
They're wild animals, and dangerous wild animals at that. Appreciate them from a distance.

On our new board game, it’s a BIG deal if you do a good deed and don’t film it. To experience this and other influencer type moments, click the link in my bio. There’s other merch there too! Story below:
TikToker Amelia Goldsmith filmed a video at the grocery store trying to buy a stranger’s groceries.
When she approached shoppers at checkout, they did not understand why she was offering to pay for their food. Some appeared to be mildly offended.
After no one accepted her offer, she bought items to add to a food bin at the store.
At the end of the video, Goldsmith was in tears. “I’m just really overwhelmed right now, I don’t know what’s going on,” she said.
If you are sincere, you dontate to your local foodbank or you don't record what you do. It's that simple.
Exactly. If you can buy extra and donate it to the foodbank collection point. Do it because you are fortunate enough that you can help a little, not to be patted on the head and told you are wonderful.
Load More Replies...I "love" how daintily and theatrically she's dabbing at her crocodile tears.
I absolutely despise people like this woman! Food insecurity is at an all-time high in our nation. Most who rely on food pantries are working poor. They are doing all the right things, but still cannot make ends meet. It is NOT a joke! Nor is it an opportunity for self-promotion. Shaming someone because you want to appear generous is unforgiveable. If you want to help, then support your local food pantry.
Kind of like that boy who filmed himself giving flowers to older ladies. They were offended and said they felt used.
I want to say it was Letterman. They had a kid dressed as a Boy Scout and he would ask women if he could help them cross the road because he had to help an old lady cross the street to get a badge. They has him asking late 20's and early 30's fit women. You never seen people so mad at a kid.
Load More Replies...Kinda off topic, but related in a way, CBC Marketplace did an investigation on grocery store credit card pushers. The employees are trained to scope out people who "appear" to be "uneducated, poor/low income, young, lacking financial literacy". After hearing this, I too, get extremely offended when approached with store credit card offers while I shop. Once, in a Loblaws, I was approached 3 times by the same employee and I had to lay into her, telling her I knew what she was doing and not having it. So, I can definitely see why people would decline this women's offer. Even when I'm broke and find myself having to put back groceries or walk out empty, offers from people to pay for my groceries is not easily accepted and there's been times I've declined. It is embarrassing. No one wants unsolicited charity, especially when it's not needed. Her time, efforts and money would have been better spent at a shelter, food bank or something.
If you're doing it for internet points, you're a c**p person. Someone else said it is hella suspicious for someone to randomly offer to pay for your groceries. I agree. I would offer to pay if someone was having trouble--their card wasn't running, or the amount was more than they thought and they would have to put something back. I would be happy to help in that situation. But I'm not gonna just randomly walk up to people and offer to pay their groceries. And I'm certainly not going to film it. That's gross.
Nowadays, some influencers have become brands themselves, creating images, videos, podcasts, and their own merchandise and products. Given their list of tasks, such work can be non-stop, especially keeping in mind that social media is open 24/7 and the need to maintain relationships with followers is constant.

Cook survived the gunshot wound after undergoing surgery. He says this will not stop him from filming similar videos in the future.”
I hate these people that go around pranking strangers or antagonizing them just for views! If you want views, do something without annoying the people around! I wish one of these mot******rs did this to me! I'd sue them for a part of the proceedings as they were gained due to my contribution as well!!!!
It makes more sense if you watch the actual video. I don't think him shooting him was appropriate but he was repeatedly told to stop and would not stop. This dude is one of the worse pranksters out there.
if this is the same one, the influencer was a tall guy compared to the victim, the victim was found not guilty for shooting the influencer. it was caught on video
Best leave people alone you do not know, not everyone will tolerate your stupidity
Jokes aside, we all love attention. Some of us more than others, but I cannot emphasize this enough, it is not worth risking your life for views. We’ve all seen and heard of enough people being injured or dying after falling off a mountain, or edge of a cliff, but to go into very dangerous territory just to make a YouTube video, it’s almost beyond the pale. Please be careful out there. Information below:
Miles Routledge, a 23-year-old British YouTuber, was reportedly captured by the Taliban in January.
Routledge, who is better known as “Lord Miles,” says in his Twitter bio that he visits “the most dangerous places on Earth for fun.”
This is not his first time in Afghanistan. Shortly before the Taliban took over in 2021, he traveled as a “war tourist” and was evacuated from the country by Britain when the city of Kabul was falling.
Reports state that Routledge is being held alongside two Polish nationals.
"I am just desperate to know that he is safe. He keeps traveling because he loves it, he's only young and he's just finding himself after finishing university. I just want him to keep safe,” Lord Miles’ mother told the Daily Mail.
You know how they always say parents can never believe it’s their own child who does or is bad? Just listen to this mom making excuses for her son. Gross!!!!

Call me cold-hearted, but influencers who put themselves in dangerous situations should not be rescued. FAFO.
For some, it’s all worth it, as most influencers started their social media journey as their passion project, wanting to share it with their audience. However, with so many controversies surrounding influencers, like donation embezzlement and spreading misinformation about forced and dangerous labor in fast fashion companies, experts believe the industry needs some guardrails.
American YouTuber Addison Pierre Maalouf, known as YourFellowArab, was allegedly kidnapped in Haiti and held for $600,000 ransom while traveling to interview notorious gang leader immy “Barbecue” Cherizier.
On Saturday, reports said Maalouf was released.

An act of mercy. Barbecue is the new head of state, since Haitis president fled.

"But think of the exposure!" has been a scam people try to run on artists for so long, there might be cave paintings that started that way.
Geez, becoming a meme really went to that guy's head. Unless he was always an attention-seeking douchewomble.
Stupid, but at least it's not life-threatening, like some of these.
So cringe. A chef from Turkey shouldn't have even been allowed on the pitch much less be allowed to pose with and kiss the trophy like he scored the winning goal. Then pestering Lionel Messi for photos when Messi clearly just wanted to enjoy the moment with his family and the rest of the team, the people that actually contributed to the win.
Says a lot about the state of the world when someone can make a fortune from sprinkling salt.
right? sprinkling salt? i can sprinkle salt! why aren't i rich yet?

As a response to the wrong influencer behavior, “cancel culture” has emerged. Those who get canceled usually struggle to progress in their careers and often lose large numbers of followers, as they’re boycotting the creator for something they said or did that was widely offensive.
A Colombian influencer known as @mike_jambs got Messi’s name tattooed on his forehead after the World Cup.
Just weeks after Argentina’s victory, he reportedly regrets getting the tattoo.
“I regret having done the tattoo because instead of bringing me positive things, it’s led to lots of negative things, both personally and for my family,” he said in a video posted to Instagram.
I was thinking he misspelled MORON. I'm not opposed to tattoos as long as they're done right and have some meaning. Get one just to be getting one? NO. Facial? Absolutely not except in a very few extreme cases. I did see this one woman whose face was basically scars due to some skin condition and she had her face tattooed in a mosaic pattern. It looked really good and did exactly what she intended, it hid the scars.

Alena Agafonova, a 23-year-old Russian influencer, was reportedly imprisoned and sentenced to 10 months of labor for “tickling the breast” of a famous war statue.
Additionally, she has been banned from using social media for two years.
A drunk teenager in Canada made the front page of the town's paper by peeing on a war memorial. He apologized, had to do community service, including visiting veterans. That sounds fitting to me.
Load More Replies...She chose very bad time, too: nationalist patriotic outrage after invasion into Ukraine.
The statue seems to be at Mamayev Kurgan. 35.000 soldiers are buried there....
I hate the audacity of “influencers“, but Russia sucks! Prison? For such a dumb thing? C‘mon
The US Olympic Committee has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Logan Paul’s Prime hydration drink brand days before the 2024 Paris Olympics. The lawsuit alleges that Prime used Olympic-related phrases without permission, potentially misleading the public and profiting from an unauthorized association with the Olympics.
The lawsuit settlement will be cheaper than the revenue gained from this specific marketing. Why would he care when Prime is still making a profit? The problem is the system the douchebag is exploiting.
Don't bet on it. The Olympics are only slightly less protective of their brand than the Superbowl & Disney.
Load More Replies...Can't stand Logan Paul. Not after the stunts he's pulled such as visiting a site such as the.... It's graphic... The "Suicide Forest" in Japan and filming it.
I was thinking this was that guy, but didn't know for sure. That guy needs to stop being an "influencer" because he has such a cruel streak.
Load More Replies...can we just launch the paul brothers into the sun already? i know almost nothing about them except that logan paul in particular is a piece of s**t, but he seems to have made that his entire image.
I keep hearing about this dude, but I realize I have no clue who he is. I could Google it… but I think I’m going to not do that. I may not want to know, as a matter of fact.
Social media platforms are also hard at work dealing with influencers who misbehave. Giants like Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok have more explicit guidelines about what they can and can’t do. Posts that break those rules are removed. In more extreme cases, the creator might stop making money from the content, or their account may be banned entirely.
I’m sure the lawyers are happy
A legal dispute between two social media influencers may have significant implications for the industry, according to legal experts. A Texas-based influencer with over 500,000 followers has initiated a lawsuit against another content creator, alleging the unauthorized duplication of her TikTok, Instagram, and Amazon Storefront posts.
Sydney Nicole Gifford, 24, has accused Alyssa Sheil, 21, of copying her “neutral, beige and cream aesthetics” and promoting similar Amazon products. The lawsuit, filed in Texas, claims that Sheil’s posts featured “identical styling, tone, camera angle and/or text” to Gifford’s, with at least 30 instances of alleged duplication.
Awe….she honestly thinks she invented and is the sole basic b***h. How utterly idiotic.
Bet she called dibs on pumpkin spice lattes and "live laugh love" wall decor. Girl' should start her own clothing line called "Generic Style"
Load More Replies...Oh no. I influenced somebody with my influencing. I must sue. I’ve seen stories like this several times before. Yes, it’s annoying if somebody is copying all your photos but you didn’t design those clothes, you don’t own having a white background, you can’t complain if people go to the same holiday destinations as you and take photos in the beautiful locations you visited and don’t own.
I thought 'neutral, beige, and cream' were the colours of the decade?
Riveting. The dumbest kid in school copying off the second dumbest kid's test. They're both gonna fail, who cares!?
Is it just me or has noone else ever heard of these "influencers"?
Influencer and former Bachelor contestant Anna Redman is facing criticism for her recent social media activity. Redman shared her itinerary for an upcoming trip to Poland on Instagram, which included a planned visit to Auschwitz. In her post, she detailed an outfit choice for the visit, consisting of a black dress and sneakers. Following backlash, she has since removed the story from her account.
Oh, I’m sure influencers could create a million ‘humble pie’ styles and monetarise them all the way home
Load More Replies...I absolutely hate these people that use Auschwitz (the death rails in particular) as photo shoot locations. Millions died here, have some respect!
I mean, for what it's worth, that's not a place where you show up dressed like a clown, which she admittedly didn't, but it's also decidedly NOT a place where you pick a "cute outfit" for to make some kind of statement with on SM, even if it's all black. You wear normal, subtle clothes and then shut the front door and behave as respectful and solemn as the history of the place dictates! JFC 😡😤
I'm not sure I understand why this is so bad? Unless how she was talking about the site in a disrespectful manner. Yes, plan you clothes to be both respectful and practical (I can't see the black dress and shoes, but these seem like they could fit?)
She's treating Auschwitz like a fashion runway, that's why. Perhaps she can show off her outfit in front of the striped uniforms the starving prisoners they wore and show us how 'fashion has changed'. Self-aggrandizement in front of a torture chamber is not a good look.
Load More Replies...It's disturbing, the number of people who visit Auschwitz as if they think it's a night club
She was on the Bachelor. Do we really expect much brainpower from this one?
I just want to puke. I can't help but think that all these "influencers" are just a bunch of self-entitled, narcissistic jerks who lack common decency and empathy
WHAT A JERK-ESS... show a little respect for all the people who died there!
Isn’t there a name for this?
“Brazilian influencer Lara Jucá shared a photo of a contract a fan sent her, offering $800,000 a year to be his girlfriend in a long-distance relationship while still being allowed to see other people.”
No thank you. As soon as that name starts being thrown around the women are seen as ‘lesser’ women, less worthy of rights or respect as a human, and thus others are more entitled to treat them as objects. Can we please retire calling women whøres, prostitutes, tarts, slags, sluts, etc etc etc for ever?
Load More Replies...Imagine having that amount of free money to spend and you still have problems finding a good looking woman to be with you.
Yeah, there's a reason no one wants to go out with him...
Load More Replies...I mean I'd be someone's long distance gf for that much- who wouldn't??
I mean, all influencers are whores in some way or another. I’ve more respect for her stitch than most of the garbage people on this list.
But this is not new, it has always existed and is called prositution.
The Washington Post writes that these measures are part of a broader effort to address criticism and controversies surrounding influencers. The goal is to make social media better for everyone, not just the people who profit from it. That said, with the amount of posting they do, it’s hard to catch every misbehavior. However, these problems are taken seriously, and companies aim to ensure that influencers don’t abuse their power and harm their followers.
Can’t handle the spice?
A travel influencer has criticized a renowned restaurant in Spain’s Basque Country, calling it “the worst meal” of her life after spending nearly $1,000. Chloe Jade Meltzer shared her experience in a series of videos on TikTok, which have garnered 8 million views.
i think this is where the restaurant owner just goes "that's nice, dear" and bans her
Businesses should all put up signs informing any "influencer" that posts a video from the establishments property or expects any preferential treatment will be billed a minimum of 3X the p0rice and possibly banned for life from any company property worldwide. Watch how fast these idiots change their tune.
And I thought it was cool that I was getting $50 a month for letting my neighbor watch me sleep through my window 😤
“Twitch influencer Amouranth recently told The Iced Coffee Hour podcast that her most lucrative stream is her sleeping.
She says that each sleep stream generates around $9,940 with additional revenue coming from conversions to her OnlyFans.
Her total monthly income is about $2 million, she estimates.”
Wasn't it W.C. Fields who said "There's a sucker born every minute."
Load More Replies...2 MILLION A MONTH?? for SLEEPING??? hmm, maybe i should invest in proffesional sleeping
Dude, if people wanted to pay lots of money to watch me to sleep I'd be cool with that. I admire her for coming up with the idea.
$2 million a month????? Maybe I should start streaming myself sleeping every night!
I'm definitely setting up a webcam next to my bed. A word of caution: I fart in my sleep a lot.😝
Ashley Kosko, 37, started collecting and posting bedazzled Stanley tumblers on TikTok in 2022. She now sells her “Bling Stanley Tumblers” online for up to $1100 each.
Kosko says prices reflect the cost of rhinestones and the time to decorate the custom cup, which can take up to 50 hours apiece.
She also has a personal collection of over 80 Stanley tumblers, worth $30k.
Can't blame this one, why shouldn't you make yourself a fortune off the idiots willing to pay for it?
me neither. she's not exactly hurting anyone—its the idiots willing to pay. why not just "bedazzle" it yourself if you're that desperate?
Load More Replies...Hey, if you're stupid enough to pay that much for a cup that's your own problem. She's not forcing anyone.
I mean, fair enough if people are daft enough to pay that for them 🤷🏼♀️

So she has 30 bedazzled Stanley cups no one is willing to buy. That's how I read that.

Cute dog though. Give it a couple thousand years, it’ll be a Pomeranian.
Influencer Amanda Hamilton said in a recent TikTok video that she believed she had gotten a good deal on a Pomeranian at the U.S.-Mexico border.
She purchased the animal for $50 and took it home only to realize it was actually a wolf.
Doesn't look like a wolf (IMO). Looks like a Husky breed ... and LOL: thinking they'd saved money by buying one cheap - then having to buy so much fooood for the 'wolf'. 😄
Pomeranian?? Really they couldn't tell that's not a Pomeranian! Or a wolf for that matter
Load More Replies...Firstly, even as a puppy that looks nothing like a pomeranian - they are small dogs and that puppy is way bigger than a pomeranian puppy. Also it is black and white and it's face shape is wrong. Secondly, as an adult that is not a wolf. But, as this is an influencer, their lack of ability to distinguish between dog breeds shouldn't really surprise any of us. Sigh.
The whole story is made up for attention. She never thought she bought a Pomeranian. And that’s clearly not a wolf.
Load More Replies...That's either a Klee Kai or a Husky, but not a wolf, depending on the actual size. It's hard to tell without a banana
Doesn't look like a wolf to me. Wolves are BIG and generally grey or brown. Looks like a cute ole husky. Owner probably is just calling it a wolf for attention.
Surely it has to be illegal leaving someone with that low a level of IQ to fend for themselves on the streets...
Yeah, it doesn't look like a wolf much... and I've seen wolves (outside a zoo!), they were bigger and quite gray.
Not even a hybrid, unless it's a very low percentage one. I've seen Saarloos wolfdogs who look more wolf like than this one and they are actual hybrids.
Load More Replies...This is a little of a wolf as I am, this is just some sort of husky or Shiba mix
I feel for this person. I once bought a gecko at a pet store that turned out to be a velociraptor. You don't want to know how much my monthly budget for pet food is!
Get pets from shelters, people!!! Unique, one-of-a-kind dogs are awesome.
Nuria Blanco, a 27-year-old lifestyle influencer from Barcelona, shared a video on TikTok where she drank her friend’s breast milk. The video sparked shock and disbelief among viewers. Doctors advise against drinking someone else’s breast milk due to the risk of infectious diseases and chemical contaminants. Drinking one’s own breast milk, however, is not harmful and can provide benefits when feeling unwell.
Well, other than most posts in this thread, the people involved did not endanger anyone else.
You meant “unlike,” not “other than.” (Just trying to help in case you’re learning English.) (And if you are, good luck! We have waaay too many idioms, and new ones pop up every day! 🥵)
Load More Replies...Doctors probably just say that for the people who don’t understand why it’s weird. They’re like f**k it, we ain’t gettin through to this one. Tell em they’ll die or some s**t.
Load More Replies...Most people drink bovine breast milk. At least what she drank was meant for the species. Bovine is meant for baby calves.
This doesn't make sense. There are "Wet Nurses" all over that specifically give their breast milk to other women's babies. How is this any different?
Do people really believe that when we all lived in small, nomadic tribes and a baby was hungry when their mum wasn’t there, that another woman didn’t just pick it up and feed it?
Load More Replies...I haven't drunk it but I've tasted my friend's just to see what it was like; sweet
I tasted my own just out of curiosity (just some on my finger), and it is definitely sweet.

“Posts appear to show a man who paid $10,000 to meet a woman he followed on OnlyFans. At their meeting, he reportedly only received a hug.
About one month later, the OnlyFans creator posted a photo on vacation with her actual boyfriend.”
If the guy thought he was hiring a girlfriend that's on him. Plenty of people pay to meet celebrities and don't expect anything other than a meeting.
Sounds like he's the idiot here. What did he expect? No blame on the girl from me
obsessed OF "fans" are something else. A lot of them harbour delusions about some personal bond with the women they watch, up to the assumption that they "own" them since they pay real money
I cannot help thinking, that her later post with her boyfriend have been made necessary by this mad fan.
I don’t understand this one. Did the guy feel fleeced that he only got a hug? Had she promised more than that? Did he think that because she hugged him, it must mean she’s his girlfriend? Seems to me the problem here is the fan, not the influencer.
What the hell was he trying to pay for? A pr*stit*te? He shouldn't have expected anything, including a hug-so he's lucky he got that.
Navigating the world of social media influencers requires a clear understanding of the industry’s challenges and ethical boundaries. For those interested in the dynamics between influencers and small businesses, this piece sheds light on how authentic engagement, rather than entitlement or unrealistic demands, shapes successful collaborations.
It’s worth exploring further insights on how brands balance influencer partnerships in different contexts in supporting smaller content creators.
