This is horrible. My cat had a bladder blockage, and we had to wait for several hours until the vet's office opened. It was excruciating just looking at the poor cat. To let it go on for DAYS... Terrifying even to think about it.

Yeah, but 2 years can be a looooong time if it's life-threatening. My coworkers mom did not believe in medicine, gladly when their kids were already vaccinated. But when my coworker got a cough, lead to a bronchitis, wich lead to a pneumonia her Mother refused to let her see a doctor and kept her home with tea and home remedies. Her Father finally put a foot down and took her to the hospital, which probably saved her live.

Not in Australia. If teachers see something out of the ordinary they are obliged to report it. No school doctors rhough. We did have school dentists when I was in primary school (kinder to grade 6) that has since been stopped before my kids started school.

That's fantastic. But profit sharing bonuses are not the same as workers owning the means of production. That would truly mean that if the company took a loss one year, ALL employees would kick money back to the company to keep it afloat. Typically successful cooperatives happen when the employees are also the owners from the beginning. Not a situation where you get hired 15 years into the company's existence and expect to get ownership status. For the record, paying your employees extremely well is a phenomenal idea as they will go above and beyond, giving the employer loyalty that really isn't found in companies that pay c**p wages.

They are the rare exception. If the company loses billions, just about every shareholder with the exception of the top C level suite will take a loss. Those with the golden parachutes don't take that loss as you said. But that's not in a case where the company goes under and ceases to exist as there's no longer a company to pay out that bonus

I’d call it a type of control, yes. Like the way a German Shepherd is a type of dog. Social control just ends up being upheld “by the masses” than by one person over another person on an individual basis, so to speak.

And Texas? When a doctor tells the mom & dad that have been wanting this baby for years that her life is in danger and the unborn baby absolutely will not survive, yet they can't get her the medical care she desperately needs. Really? That's OK with you too??

Another woman was forced to have a stillborn child. She knew it was dead and wanted a baby, but couldn't get the medical care needed. We know this can harm her and may prevent a pregnancy later.

People can't force you to donate your kidney even if you're a perfect match for someone right next to you. The same should be said for pregnant people. They shouldn't have to risk perineal tears (don't google fourth degree tears), permanent incontinence, loss of teeth, preeclampsia, osteoporosis, major abdominal surgery, and even death from blood loss just to keep a clump of cells sustained. Nor should they have to interrupt their career and personal life for upwards of a year. You don't owe your life and well being to anyone.
