This is orion. Shes now 4 years old. When she was a baby she was super shy. The slightest movement and she would hide in her shell for hours. After years of handling shes now extremely friendly and enjoys being handled. She used to come out with me to a local zoo. To teach people interesting things about snails. She has a sister called athena and they are allways cuddled up together. Shes the light of my life.

Im really pleased you liked orion and enjoyed reading about orion and snails. I love teaching people about snails and how wonderfully strange they can be. She loves going out with me and meeting other inquisitive people. Its really helped her become more friendly and less flighty.

Captive bred snails are much safer to handle than their wild counterparts. Wild snails can carry parasites like lung worm and other types of mite. Whereas captive bred are parasite free and disease free. Its always best to wash your hands after handling any snail, but pet snails won't make you ill. Thank you so much. I have a painful memory about my dogs first time on a boat. It was on a big tug boat and we were going at a lower deck, the dog decided that the steps were too tiny and too close together and he just jumped on the lower deck. I was holding the leash. So he just threw me 3 meters lower, dislocated my shoulder and cut off my breath. I want a Rallo! Looks like he would not do that, seems like a nice sweet boi, not an overconfident human thrower monster!

Oh, ouch I'm sorry that happened to you. Honestly, I really lucked out with him. We rescued him last minute. Luckily he's been very responsive to training and is an all around mellow dog so far. Except for when I leave him. So far I'm his person, and he is not having it when I leave him with others lol.

PERSONALITY: refused to live with other cats at spca, had to live in a cage. Was warned she was approx 5, and found pregnant wandering the bush. She even looked angry in her profile pic! Went to spca, met her, fell in Love, and she came home. Slowly earned her trust, and she is just the loveliest girl! Very loving towards my son too. She's now approx 13-14 QUIRKS : refuses to be " told" what to do. As in if she's about to jump up on the chair and I pat the cushion or encourage her, she won't jump up, and waits and jumps up, because she decided to not coz she was told! Makes me laugh. Another recent quirk is she can't be bothered cleaning her chin any more, leading to cat chin acne (I didn't know that existed!) So now I have the honour of cleaning her chin and checking it so it doesn't get yucky or scabby etc. But that's ok lol she's her own cat and strong willed, and she's come to accept the chin cleaning now ^-^

Such a heartwarming story. She is a very pretty cat. I have rescue dogs - nothing better than knowing you've done right by an animal that needed a home. It's wonderful watching their personality slowly emerge as they get braver. Took my dog three years to learn to wag his tail. Another year before he'd let us pet his tummy. He's a scarred and anxious nightmare but he is OUR scarred and anxious nightmare and we love him and he loves us.

Thank you :) She's amazing. She's 33 (almost 34) and bird years are human years especially in these big guys. She should (God willing) live 60-80 years. She talks a lot and is a big ol goober. That's ok, we have 3, wendy is just one. Bully my husbands B&G also doesn't have all her feathers, I call her my chicken nuggy lol. She hates me unless I'm at minimum 2 feet away then she adores me, but if I try to pet her....yikes. The joke is that Bully is my husband's wife and I'm his side chick. But no matter what, I love her to pieces even with her rude attitude. Then there's Stretch our male B&G he's my daughters and he's hilarious. He has all his feathers but doesn't take care of himself as well as Wendy does. But he's too busy singing opera and getting into trouble lol.

Iguanas are awesome! But they are very delicate if taken in captivity, you really gotta be careful with the temperature and humidity levels, as well as their diet. I live in a very warm town in Mexico, so temperature is ideal but still gotta watch closely to keep the needed humidity levels so she's healthy 😁

Just in case: Budgies are social animals and need contact with conspecifics. They must not be kept alone. Humans or other bird species cannot replace their conspecifics. It is best to keep the animals in an even number.

Actually! Bird brain here haha! Budgies can be kept alone (and other birds too), as long as you give them a lot of attention and really socialise with them, interact and stimulate them. From budgie, to macaw, birds can be kept alone as long as they are treated well and are part of the family. Please do a bit more research before saying stuff like that, but all good if mistaken. No hate, no judging from me! Its a common misconception. xx

At this age they are exploring the world as normal kittens. But the litle in the back/midle is something for her selv, her tail i short and crooked (something happend when she was born). She is a litle loner and often sleeps alone, but she is as active as the others.

I have a black cat like this. Jack was the runt of the litter and the only boy. His sisters were twice his size. Jack is now 7 years old, and 15 lbs of pure cuddle bug. It’s funny, because he doesn’t realize how big he is. He can never sneak up on you, because you can hear him galloping when he runs. When he jumps down from anywhere, he lands with an audible thud. But he’s a real loving and laid back boy, who just loves to have his big old belly rubbed (and no, he’s not part Maine C**n or any big cat breed, he’s just a BIG boy!).

Our cat Jack, who now weighs 15 lbs and is a loooong cat, was the runt of his litter and half the size of his siblings. When he was a kitten, he used to sleep in a bowl we kept on the Lazy Susan on our dining room table. It wasn’t a big bowl, but when he was a kitten, he fit in it with plenty of room. A couple year laters, he had brown to his full length and full 15 lbs. He still tried to sleep in the same bowl, but could only half fit. So, he’d end up sleeping with either his front half or his back half in the bowl and the other half looking like it was pouring out. Weird position, but he’d be fast asleep.

It wouldn't let me submit the photo up there, but here's my good boy, he's at least a 15/10 in my opinion. Very sweet, never makes a growl or a bork, always ready for pats and snuggles. Gives big slobbery kisses. He loves running around in the yard but doesnt quite know what to do with a toy, likes to sit on top of me (nearly 100 pounds), he loves his hat and his blankie, and gives me a big smile whenever he has either. Very good watchdog, makes sure nothings under my bed ever. Will lick any intruders to death, don't mess with him. When you have food he never whines he just peeks over the top of the table until you give in to his puppy dog eyes. Screenshot...d2566d.png

I use 'linkpicture.com', upload a picture then it gives you a list of addresses where your picture is uploaded. copy paste the last link into your comment, and it shows as an image. This works on other sites like Facebook too :)

I want to post a picture of my babies. I have 2 beautiful girl kitties (rescued) and a 3 year old male bearded dragon. We also rescued an 8 year old female beardie about a year ago. If you haven’t been cuddled by a creature covered in spikes you are missing out. And lizard kisses are the best.
