It can be hard to find Halloween decorations that aren't cheesy. Plus, it's a holiday, which means you're supposed to have fun. Not stress over whether or not that inflatable lawn that you bought online will arrive in time.
So we at Bored Panda put together a list of creative ideas to help you prepare for the spooky night. There's a zombie attack, a skeleton puking acid, and all the other things that must've gone viral not only on the internet but in the neighborhood as well.

Several years ago someone near the area where I used to live, had....ceased to exist, from a tree, in the front yard of their home right before Halloween. Apparently the house was located on a somewhat main road so many people drove by not realizing it wasn't a Halloween decoration. Always a bit leery when I drive by that sort of decor :/

This from OP <> I first wrapped them in plastic wrap then duct tape. Once wrapped, I carefully cut them out with scissors. Then taped the pieces back together and stuffed them.

I did this during quarantine Halloween. I set the candy bowl right next to it and (because know the people in Streets/Water) I had stuck a clown mask down there, so as people leaned down to get the candy, if they looked into the sewer a clown was staring back.

I did something like this many years ago for my youngest sister. I found an inexpensive figurine in a dollar store of a young girl with long hair and she was holding a bowl. A kitten was at her feet. My sister LOVES cats. I painted the hair red like my sister's hair, I forget what color the dress was. I painted the bowl and added white glue to look like milk and the cat was black. My sister really liked it. I wonder if she still has it. We don't speak to each other any longer.

Naturally Carved Pumpkin
Instead of carving the jack-o-lantern myself this year, I poked a bunch of small holes in a pumpkin and stuffed the holes with peanut butter. I then let the squirrels go at it for two days. The result is something truly disturbing.

I love this! I do something similar. I have a full size skeleton in my front yard that I pose and repose doing something different every 2 days during October. This year he started out riding a bike, push mowing the lawn, chilling with his solo cup on a lawn chair, going to the bathroom (on a medical fold up toliet), digging a grave, swinging around a stripper pole (made from an old stand up floor lamp) walking his skeleton dog...these are just some of his many adventures!

This is a great idea. I love homemade decorations and made something this year for my yard I used a long curtain rod for the 'spine', a short curtain rod for the 'shoulders', a foam ball for the head, a cheap mask, an old wig I've had for years for a project I never made. The 'body' is four white sheer curtains that were on the windows of my house when I bought it. I glued tea lights inside the mask and the thing looks really cool at night. The breeze always blows here especially now so the fabric blows all around because I cut strips in it. Had to add monofilament line to hold out the 'arms' and added strips of fabric so no one would trip over it. ghost-in-f...026df1.jpg

There is a two story old house in an area where I once lived in Florida. The house is pretty old and always LOOKS old. Every year the owners really go all out for Halloween. I mean, ALL OUT. They've probably been collecting decorations for years. It's all the same theme so nothing looks gaudy and tacky. They have creepy zombies hanging out on the front porch (big front porch), creepy zombies in the front yard, zombies hanging out of the second floor windows. Their yard has a lot of trees so everything really looks frightening even during the day. If I was a kid I would never walk up to the door.

We go off...my husband does movie lighting and I do makeup. Every year I go to the thrift shop and pick up dolls that I repaint into zombies and evil clowns. We have a full zombie graveyard, rear projection ghosts, a fog machine, etc.

This is my October every year, with my hubby! He adores adores adores Halloween. Show him a real skull, he'd pass out, but... there we are. (This year's yard includes Dinner With the Dead, and spiderweb "lace" I crocheted to look like, yes, real webs.)

I make a lot of ours from thrift shop finds! Our dollar stores have a lot of fun decorations as well.

We go off...my husband does movie lighting and I do makeup. Every year I go to the thrift shop and pick up dolls that I repaint into zombies and evil clowns. We have a full zombie graveyard, rear projection ghosts, a fog machine, etc.

My dad does lighting for CF (college of Florida) for the plays so my dad is going of too. He loved doing the lighting during Halloween for Busch Gardens too! We have all the same to and our house is decorated in Halloween, 365 days a year!

I saw a Jeep on the hyway (I have a Jeep as well) with a skeleton clinging to the spare tire! I might just copy that idea.
