Halloween At The Office
However, there’s nothing new under the sun, so instead of going for total originality that might backfire, instead, go for something a bit unusual but make your costume well.
After all, it’s the quality of the costume and your ability to roleplay that pirate/knight/Jedi/superhero that counts most, not just impressing others with your innovative ideas. We’d rather dress to the nines as Castiel (some of us already wear trench coats almost daily) than pretend to be some niche character from some show nobody’s ever seen.

There are many traditions associated with Halloween and one of them has to do with keeping away fairies if you’re Irish or have ancestors back in the Land of a Thousand Welcomes. According to local folklore, if you don’t want your things stolen by those darn pesky fairies on October 31, you should dress up, carve faces into pumpkins, light blazing bonfires, and keep yourself surrounded by black cats. Otherwise, the fairies might get you. In fact, we heartily recommend surrounding yourself with cats throughout the year. Just in case.

My son has had heart surgeries... I can tell you this kid look phenomenal for going under the knife. Not all heart procedure are open heart sometimes it's a stint put in threw groin, sometimes it's a catheter under shoulder blade. We can't assume she's lying. My son has to have balloon thru groin for next time and I'm betting he won't look nearly as bad as when the co arc repair took place. I'm very relieved to see your baby alive well and living his life to the absolute fullest. Let's be gentle people you don't always know what someone else is going through

Mascot for Pillsbury is called Pillsbury Dough Boy. In commercials when people poke it's belly, it giggles. Hope this helps. If not try youtube may be will be easier to understand when you watch a commercial it's in.

My hope is that she really wanted to be one or at least have it a close second on her list. Sadly some parents will make girls be something different to win costume contests :/ I don't know how many times I went as a belly dancer just because it was 'different'. You'd be surprised. For the last two years, my uni has hosted a biomechs conference that happens to include Oct. 31st. Dressing up is, of course, not an option, but I showed up for my presentation both times in a Wednesday Addams outfit (even tried putting my short bob in plaits) and nobody knew, they were just surprised I opted for black twice. Sad. XD

I think the most 'spooky' costume I had was the Grim Reaper. That was my last Halloween, so I would've been about 12. No gore, just makeup and a cloak. Before that I was a puffin, a lion, a zinnia, a race car driver and an old time aviator.

The girl who dressed up as Wednesday Addams and people just asked her why she didn't dress up for Halloween reminded me of when something similar happened to me... I dressed up as a Pink Lady (from Grease). I made my clothes and hair 50's style--I wore a high-waisted A-line skirt and a high-necked short sleeved sweater top (tucked into the skirt to give the classic 50's new look silhouette), and did my hair up in a high pony with a headband, and I had a Pink Ladies jacket left over from a high school production of Grease... but everyone who saw me at work just said "you look very nice today!" and I had to turn around to show them the Pink Ladies iron-on lettering on the back of my jacket. Oh well.

Laura, most people aren't all there upstairs, you know. Grease (the original) was my FAV. It was the only movie I saw about 4 times & I couldn't even afford to go to the first one. I wonder what they would have said had you dressed up as Olivia in those skin TIGHT pants LOL I'm sure you looked GREAT :)

People take Halloween so seriously! I've never known anyone dress up other than the occasional mask, face paint or store bought costume. If some of these arrived at my door I'd totally freak out!

I'm old enough that we used to just buy the cheap costumes from K-mart and call it good. My son picked out a prisoner costume - a jumpsuit with the white and black stripes and the little cotton striped hat. I painted a thin mustache on him and out we went. And people would say, "And what are you dressed up as?" He would answer "A zebra!!" I didn't have the heart to tell him....
