I had a classmate from Thailand once. He said that as kids, they all learn how to say it through a song. He couldn't say the name without using the melody. He challenged his Thai friends, same result. So if you meet someone from Thailand, it's a good conversation starter

False, Antarctica is a ice shelf with no plants. A desert is a biome which is defined by its plants, soil, and precipitation patterns. So while Antarctica does have the precipitation similar to a desert, it fails to meet the plant life and soil qualification of a desert as it doesn't have either.

    Report

3 years ago Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

Any circle drawn around the Earth divides it into two equal halves called hemispheres. There are generally considered to be four hemispheres: Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western. The Equator, or line of 0 degrees latitude, divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The Northern Hemisphere contains North America, the northern part of South America, Europe, the northern two-thirds of Africa, and most of Asia. The Southern Hemisphere contains most of South America, one-third of Africa, Australia, Antarctica, and some Asian islands. There are differences in the climates of the Northern and Southern hemispheres because of the Earth's seasonal tilt toward and away from the sun. In the Northern Hemisphere, the warmer summer months are from June through September. In the Southern Hemisphere, summer begins in December and ends in March.

GREENLAND is covered in ICE, but ICELAND is covered in GREEN.......That was something we learned in school, though not completely true in the basic sense. (Basically, Greenland is glacial and few people live there. Iceland has an expansive population comparatively, and therefore there are far more roads, buildings, people, and animals.)
