False, Antarctica is a ice shelf with no plants. A desert is a biome which is defined by its plants, soil, and precipitation patterns. So while Antarctica does have the precipitation similar to a desert, it fails to meet the plant life and soil qualification of a desert as it doesn't have either.

Why? The letters CH appearing on Swiss cars and in internet addresses stand for the Latin words Confoederatio Helvetica, meaning Swiss Confederation. Helvetica is a widely used sans-serif typeface developed in Switzerland in 1957. :)

That's not true. The oldest 'Egyptian' pyramids are in Egypt. The oldest pyramidal structures (ziggurats) are located in ancient Mesopotamia. Sudan does have more 'Egyptian' pyramids than Egypt.

Any circle drawn around the Earth divides it into two equal halves called hemispheres. There are generally considered to be four hemispheres: Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western. The Equator, or line of 0 degrees latitude, divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The Northern Hemisphere contains North America, the northern part of South America, Europe, the northern two-thirds of Africa, and most of Asia. The Southern Hemisphere contains most of South America, one-third of Africa, Australia, Antarctica, and some Asian islands. There are differences in the climates of the Northern and Southern hemispheres because of the Earth's seasonal tilt toward and away from the sun. In the Northern Hemisphere, the warmer summer months are from June through September. In the Southern Hemisphere, summer begins in December and ends in March.

The flag is red white and blue with 17 stars inside a blue triangle. The flag features a swallow-tail shape with three red and two white horizontal stripes. The stars, indicating the 13 original states of the Union, are grouped about the circle, which represents the Northwest Territory; and that Ohio was the seventeenth state admitted into the Union is shown by adding four more stars.

GREENLAND is covered in ICE, but ICELAND is covered in GREEN.......That was something we learned in school, though not completely true in the basic sense. (Basically, Greenland is glacial and few people live there. Iceland has an expansive population comparatively, and therefore there are far more roads, buildings, people, and animals.)
