Where I live we weren't shut down or expected to wear masks (and didn't know the severity of the situation) until March 13, 2020 (also a Friday).

In March the whole world was still in denial thinking the problem would stop in China

@Wendillon not really. Asia, Australia and New Zealand were keeping a very close eye on things. The Philippines went into full lockdown on March 12, and you'd see people wearing masks in February.

She probably planned it for a while and then got it before mask use was popular in USA (before March 15-25)

It has nothing to do with before we started caring about it, Donald Trump (you know, the orange dumbass?) didn't care and didn't place restrictions till it was too late. Numbers were also hidden from many of us so we didn't know much about it or how bad it was here until things got too bad to hide

this was still before the whole mask thing got political and deemed as a repression of freedom. she means not presenting a version of yourself to make others happy/comfortable. it's figurative.

There were a few comments where people hadn't though.

In the US numbers about how bad it was were hidden for the most part by resident cheeto Donald Trump. We didn't know how bad it was until it was too late in some places. It also talks more about them wanting to get the tattoo sooner but they only did on March 4th. Just read farther, not that hard. Also, when you're going to criticize, spell it right. *Sure

4-3-2020 was still a number of days before people in other countries became worried about COVID. Also radically does fit nowadays because this is a serious problem for younger people and it happends often.

Maybe it's her way of saying she'll be true to herself no matter what. It doesn't have to be in the context of masks, you're just choosing to see it that way. Everyone can see it how they wish. Additionally, it talks more about that specific one farther down, and how a friend told them to get it LONG before covid.

@Foxxy covod wasn't considered as big of a deal in March, especially in the US. Lockdown haven't started in the US either
