I'm to old for tumbler or most social media but I do wonder why millennial men feel they need to articulate every thought they have especially the stupid ones and especial to the world? I think things some may think inappropriate from time to time, and I keep it inside my head, it makes life easier.

She is absolutely right about tge conservative men, but it surely is not 100%. Such simplifications are totally unfair to women who are forced to abort or who's live situation give them no choice although they would want to have the baby. Mocking them by putting them into the 100% does not help .

I'm all for gender equality but why have some feminist taken up the fight to generalise all men as X,Y,Z? It's arguments like this why people make the distinction between gender equality and feminism.

As someone on the spectrum all people are often strange and inscrutable creatures to me.

The one who started this conversation doesn't realise the paradox of his own sentence. If females were privileged, they wouldn't need to fake a headache to avoid doing what they're not in the mood for.

I was taking a cultural diversity class once and the muscular, 6'2" instructor stated that white women crossed the street when they saw him walking their way because they feared black men. I asked him if black women did the same thing and he said he'd never noticed. I asked him to pay attention and tell us at the next class. Turns out they did, which spun his worldview. I explained that most women confronted with a large, unknown male will put a safe distance between them as a matter of self-preservation. He honestly could not comprehend that women who did not know him had no way of knowing he was nice. Next class, he told us he started crossing the street when he saw lone women heading toward him, and many of them made eye contact and nodded. He was amazed that a little change like that made him less threatening.

That is intensely stupid. I hold doors. Here’s the etiquette. If someone is directly behind you, hold the door so it doesn’t slam them in the face. If someone is carrying a heavy load, hold the door for them. If someone can’t manage the door on their own (disabled, senior, on crutches, whatever), HOLD THE DOOR!........ This is 100% gender neutral. EVERYONE should do this. it’s basic good manners. ....And ladies, if any man whines about it, let go of the door before they can grab it.

i had that happen to me too. guy was trying to carry like six boxes. i didn't mean to be offensive; i just thought he could use the door open since he had no free hands. dude was not happy about it

I've held doors open for many different people including guys. Never encountered that. Too weird.

It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality

I insist on men getting in a bus ahead of me when they gesture for me politely to go first: DDD. Most of them do go ahead. And It feels good. Cos I think, there you go, at least once in your life time you can go first on a bus without having to wait for a woman. :)

I have held doors...there was a time when my ex used to hold doors for me and I felt entitled to stand at the door for someone else to open it...Thank God I have grown out of it :D

There was this one time I held the door open for my FATHER and this guy looked at me, looked at his son and said "You never let a woman hold the door open for you." Like my dad is a disabled veteran, are you serious? He was limping with a cane and that dude have the nerve? I hold the door open for everyone, all the time, but I never had someone react like that before. They have gotten confused.

Where were you? I don't think this is a thing, where I live. We all hold doors without a thought for gender, or it appears that way to me. Except for those few folks who just don't hold doors, or are currently too internalized to notice those around them.

Funny. As far as I can see the current US president is about as emotionally unstable as a leaf in a hurricane.

Okay. So there are two ways one can look at this. One can either focus on "girls that are anit-feminist" OR on "anti-feminist just to be considered chill by guys". And at least going through comments I think we all understand feminism is about gender quality and not putting either of the gender down. So be kind to each other and understand that same thing can be viewed from different perspectives and still believe in same thing.
