Just because a tattoo is funny doesn’t mean it’s bad. And just because it’s intricate doesn’t mean it’s good.
But whatever the case, tattoos like these are always worth a look. Whether they make you laugh or leave you in awe, there’s something undeniably entertaining about them.

Wow it really looks like a cat wrapped around the arm 🤭🤣. I love any kind of animal tats...I want to get my horse on me someday
But people are people. Everyone has their own ideas about what looks good, what makes sense, and what’s worth committing to permanently. Some clients come in with ideas that are… let’s say, highly questionable. And when someone ends up hating their tattoo, well, that’s often a “them” problem.
Of course, there’s the other scenario: the artist messes up. And that’s a different kind of heartbreak entirely.

Then there’s the third, arguably funniest, option—when the person absolutely loves their tattoo, but everyone else who sees it can’t believe what they’re looking at. Not the worst outcome, really. At least it’s their choice, and most people will forget it after a quick glance.

This could honestly be a coping/"reminder" tattoo - something for someone who struggles with suícidal ideation, or addíction, or self-hárm, or depression. A reminder that "this too shall pass" - no matter how dark and horrible that one particular moment is for you, it WILL pass and you CAN get through it. I've struggled with all of the above things I mentioned, and to me, this isn't the worst kind of tattoo. It could help someone cope, it could help them make it through the day. And before anyone in the UK goes off about how "this is just noon" XD - I get it, but a lot of us in the States learned 12-hour time in school, not 24-hour time, and we usually only "learn"/use 24-hr time in the military/military-adjacent stuff. So to us, this represents 11:59pm, one minute away from the longest of days ending :)

We wanted to know where his delightfully bizarre style comes from, and it turns out, grandmas are a big part of the story.
“I’ve been tattooing for 15 years,” Frogmagik told us. “My grandmother had a tattoo of a frog with a wizard’s hat on her arm. I remember looking at it when I was a kid. I was somehow both fascinated, scared, and jealous of it. It was a weird mix of emotions for a small, unspoiled child. I think that’s the reason I’m tattooing!”

I wouldn't want it, but that incredible artistry and more dedication than I'd ever have.
“I try to create a certain expression. Sometimes it works out straight away, and sometimes I try to draw it like 50 times and it still doesn’t work. The best feeling is usually when it comes out of nowhere, when I can draw without using my brain and just spontaneously do stuff without questioning anything,” he explained.
From laughing babies with big green bellies to intellectual fruits and mysterious animals, Frogmagik’s work walks the line between silly and surreal, and clearly, he’s not the only one who appreciates that balance.
