I live in the east village. Planes fly all over the city all times of the day and night. I'm lost as to your obvious reason as to why commercial jets and helicopters wouldn't fly over the city

How do you know? It's perfectly possible to shoot a pic like that -- if you have a large zoom on your camera, the moon is just rising and the sailboat is far in distance. I've seen countless pictures similar to this online and in magazines!

I gotta laugh at the "experts" here downvoting any comment that suggests this is photoshopped. Well, you are all stupid, so since I actually do use Photoshop, let me tell you: yes, this is fake. If you look closely, you can see the moon is going through the lower flag. If you still think that's real, you're a complete idiot. There's also no reflection on the water and the lighting is all wrong.
