Cats have a unique and amusing personality that makes them one of (if not the) internet's favorite creatures. Their owners often catch these animals doing silly things — like getting stuck in a box that's too small for them — and what's more, they have the facial expressions to make such moments even funnier

The Facebook group 'Kitty Litterposting' is a place that invites everyone to share their best cat content, and as the name — which is a reference to the term trash posting — suggests, it's pretty liberal with what it accepts. So let's dive in and see what this online community has accumulated over the years!

We did that and came home with two elderly, long-haired, black cats, who are loving and caring. We still have one of them six years later.

Always adopt the adults. Theyre less likely to be adopted as ppl want cute kittens. Theyre potty trained!! My favourite part. All my babies have been from spca.

A few years ago we adopted a bonded pair - long and short hair black cats - no one wanted them, they were adolescents. The year after that, we got Wyatt the Twitch - adoption fail, too weird and nervous so he was another reject. All three are marvelous, and after three years of patience,Twitch will now sit in my arms while I work. For a few minutes at least till he gets overstimulated and it's over. 😸

Senior cats deserve to live their final years in comfort, filled with love and good food. Thank you for that.

OMG YES!!!! We were adopted by an abandoned deaf kitty with a long list of health issues. We only got to have her for two years before we had to let her cross the rainbow bridge, but those two years were wonderful.

I decided I'm going to do this once my fluffy boi is gone. The kittens will get adopted. There's no guarantee with the adult cats. Hopefully I won't have to do this for a long time, though. I love my fluffy boi. He doesn't get along with other cats which is why I have to wait, but I'm okay with that. He's mine.

Thank you! I have several older kitties that I was gifted with when I bought my farm 11 years ago. All were sterilised, vaccinated and wormed. The oldest is May, who we think is now 20! Now living a good life in a small warm room with a cat flap.

Aww, thank you for adopting a senior cat so they can live on their golden years with someone they love.

My local cat rehoming centre has a retirement village for the elderly cats so they can all live together in one big happy cat care home and it's next to the cafe so they can see the cafe visitors for fuss and attention on their terms. Much better than them being in the pods waiting for a new home, if they don't find one they don't realise as they're happy in the retirement home.

I did this accidentally - she wasn't old, just shy and hard to photograph so no-one had been interested in her in the 13 months she had been at the shelter. When I entered her pen she walked straight up to me, rolled over at my feet and started purring, and that was it - I was adopted. 12 years later she's still with me - I call her Velcro Cat because she's permanently stuck to my side. 😸

My cat is not a senior, but she spent the first 3 1/2 years of her life in a shelter before I adopted her. They told me she was "temperamental". Who wouldn't be after living in a cage for that long?

My goal for retirement. Adopting the older kitties to give them their best life in their golden years.

Admirable. Kindness towards disabled and/or senior animals is admirable.

My friend and I were visiting a grave. It was over 90 degrees out. I noticed a cat carrier in the blazing sun and there was a poor cat inside. It had no food no water and I had no idea how long it had been in the sun. I moved the cat to the shade took care of it's need. I thought it might belong to somebody. I called the humane society. For some strange reason the person on the phone was very hostile. I was asked a ton of questions and then the person insinuated I was lying animal abuser who was trying to foist my cat on them. I was just wanting to make sure a cat got medical attention and ensure it didn't die of heat stroke.

In the UK, cats can go in/out via a catflap whenever they like, its pretty standard here in many of our towns and cities.

And you think only dog farts smell foul. I think I can see the paint starting to peel off the walls from it in this pic.
