30 Times Dogs Tried To Bend Human Rules, And It Was Hilariously Adorable
Never underestimate how clever dogs can be. Especially when their owner sets rules for them...
"I'm not allowed on the couch? Well, as long as one foot is on the ground, technically I'm not breaking the rules!" Below, Bored Panda has put together a list of dogs that thought of the most clever ways to bend the rules. In fact, they bend the rules in such an adorable way it's impossible to get mad at them! But I bet they knew that already... Keep on scrolling to check out the pics and feel free to submit your own to the list.

Hungry Puppy Pretends He's Not Begging For Food By Looking The Other Way
I believe this behaviour is because the dogs pack leader is eating and being this close might get him an aggressive response so dog needs to appear to be showing no interest in the food
NO, there is no "pack leader", even in dogs relathionship(about wolves the pack leader is is the couple who gave birth to the pack, so...).When a dog is turning his head it's to say "i don't want conflict", because looking directly in the eyes is a threat.so this is a dangerous sitution because his human continue to look at the dog, even he say "no pb, i'm cool".this is stress for the dog who can understand that his human can't communicate, and he may bite next time.and this will be "the fault of the dog", like always.(i'm an ethologist)

Just because an owner doesn't let their animal(s) on certain things or in certain places doesn't mean they dont love them. The fact they're properly training the animal shows responsible pet ownership. There are many reasons why these 'house rules' are in place; from allergies, to ideas of hygiene or cultural tranditions, and to status within 'the pack'. I mean some of these animals could be working dogs and spend their entire time outside. Lets not forget they're BUILT to survive outdoors. Also dogs can get particularly possessive about people & objects they see as 'their's'. E.g. dog gets on sofa, likes being on sofa, but doesn't want to share its territory, its growls it snaps it aggressively defends what is 'their's' Then you got to deal with a large animal holding YOUR property hostage in a potentially dangerous way. Its an extreme example but does happen. As pack leader you have to assert that you are in charge early and the couch/bed is yours.

Everyone here claiming that the owner should have gotten a hypoallergenic dog must not know that there's actually NO such thing as a 100% hypoallergenic dog. None. It doesn't matter if your dog doesn't shed fur or not or if it has hair instead fur. All dogs shed skin cells (dander) and that is what people are actually allergic too. So well so-and-so may have a "hypoallergenic" dog and they don't have a reaction from said dog, doesn't mean everyone else with pet allergies won't either. And yes, keeping the dog out of the room very well can help them reduce their allergies. Maybe they don't want to have sneezing fits while trying to sleep. Sure, other areas of the home will still have dander, but at least they have one room where they can catch a break. Just because they don't allow her in their room, doesn't mean they don't love her. And frankly I hardly see the difference between this and crating a dog all night long. At least she still has free roam of the rest of the home!
It's "those" not "them". Your poorly-written comment leads me to understand why you made your stupid post. Do you know anything at all about allergies??

My Little Boy Knows That He's Not Allowed To Have All Four Feet In Our Bedroom
He is just like my dog that went missing, she did turn up but not returned to me - long story
How are all the dog-lovers okay with the hair everywhere? I currently live with a friend who has two large dogs and they have free access to everything in the house. She doesn't bathe them or brush them and they're allowed on all the furniture, even sleeps in her bed. Her husband works away and when he's back they're not allowed in the house because he suffers from really bad asthma and allergies. They will chew up/destroy anything that lays on the ground and there's literally a carpet of hair covering the whole house. They beg at the table when we eat dinner and she actually feeds them off her plate, and sometimes she let them lick her plate clean. Am I a monster for finding this utterly disgusting? She's currently pregnant and the baby's due in a couple of months. Her dogs are extremely jealous. I'm scared for the well being of that baby... Especially when the floor is lined with that hair. It gets into my eyes and I get an eye infection literally once a week. How even???
your friend should start to clean the rooms and the dogs (if needed). Most people do that so it's not that much of a problem to them. I wouldn't want a pet on the table/ kitchen counters though.

thats an adorable baby you have there..no wonder your dog loves her too..
Each of my corgis has insisted on being in the bathroom to guard the child in the tub. This caused some problems for one of my grandsons: "I don't want the dog to see me naked!" As if a corgi could see over the edge of the tub anyway! lol

My Dog Knows He's Not Allowed Upstairs, But He Found A Way To Cheat The System
I honestly don't understand people who don't allow their dogs in certain rooms, let alone a whole storey.
I am extremely allergic to animals. My dog isn't allowed on the furniture or in my bed. It's not because I don't want her there, but because I will break out in blood blisters if my skin touches anything she has touched. It's tricky, but she was going to be put to sleep had I not adopted her. I love her and give her a good home. Perhaps that will help you understand.

The Dog Who Is Not Allowed On The Rug Is Betting On My Lack Of Resolve. Betting And Winning
I don't understand everyone here judging people for the choices they make about where their pet can go. No one knows their circumstances. This pupper looks well-cared for and healthy. If he's not allowed on a rug, so what? I have a huge dog-sized rabbit in my house and he's in a pen most of the time, but he's healthy and happy and has the run of the house for a few hours every day. It's for his own good to be in the pen. If he weren't in our pen, he'd have been dinner for someone else. There are reasons people do what they do... and you don't have to agree.
I don't get it either. I grew up with "no dogs on the furniture or matts." Policy because it's just a hygiene thing. Having there bare bums on everything just isn't for everyone and my short hair dog looses hair on everything she touches no matter how much you brush her. I have my dogs in my bed but even I have boundaries. Don't go into the bathroom with me is one. People h e the same kinda rules for there kids. "Don't go into mummy's room" " don't play outside then come and sit on the bed." It's all really reasonable.
Load More Replies...It doesn't look like a normal rug to me, maybe the owner doesn't want it to get ruined ?
Please stop, we get your point. Everyone gets to have their own lives. These dogs pictured don't look mistreated or unhappy.
Load More Replies...Why do people say that their pets can't go certain places? Like, I get the "no going on the kitchen counter/ dining table" but seriously, what's the point?
our bigger dogs can't be on the couches but we give all 6-7 of our dogs run of th house unless we are not home then the two older ones stay out... but i get what Kerri and Alana come from... it does not mean you have to judge people for their rules for their dogs... it's their house, their dogs, their rules. it really is not your business of what their rules are for their pets...not to be rude or anything.

My Dog Has To Sleep On His Rug When Inside..... This Is Him Bending The Rules
NO dog should live outside. I have mastiffs, my smallest one is 240 pounds, they are house dogs, ALL dogs should be house dogs
He is a very big dog and should have a bed to lie on. This is not a solution for such dog to have a table cloth for a bed. He needs a mattress thick enough so that his joints will be cushioned when he lies down. Also, he seems to have an injury on one of the back legs.
I do agree with your points, but also, to cease your worrying, you should no that the suspected injury on his back leg is just a red checkerboard square showing through :D

My Dog Is Aloud To Go Wherever Because She's Not A Prisoner And She's Part Of Our Family
This might sound silly, but I am pretty sure even humans that are part of a family are not allowed to freely roam every single room/area of a house whenever they please for a range of reasons, from safety to privacy. Kids not allowed near the pool/trampoline/tool shed/other potentially dangerous areas if not supervised. Family members not allowed in each other's bedrooms for privacy reasons. The list could go on ... So saying that they are not treated like members of the family because they are not allowed to do something or go in a specific room is just ridiculous in my opinion. They are for all intents and purposes like children in that we feed/clothe/care for them and as the parent and authority figure we get a say in what is and is not allowed as long as it does not cause any sort of harm or distress.
Load More Replies...judgemental much? even after all the repeated comments about allergies etc.?? I just can't u derstand about these people that get dogs and stop them going upstairs or on the couch etc Fair enough not in the kitchen when cooking but surely just get a rug for your sofa?!

For those wondering why you wouldn't let pets in bedrooms- pretty much every Allergist I've been to has recommended not letting pets into the bedroom (especially on the bed) if you are allergic. If the options are giving up your pet or keeping them out of one room if your symptoms are bad, you'd probably keep them out too. My cat had to start sleeping in my Dad's room when mine got worse :(
and we don't sleep in their beds, their bed is their space, our bed is our space
Load More Replies...I love all these people going "My dogs can do what they like because they're not prisoners.." bla bla bla. No, they're not prisoners; but you don't let children do whatever they want either. A few rules doesn't make them prisoners, you simpletons, it just stops your home from becoming chaos.
well unlike most of the people in this post and on the comments, I actually need our dog to sleep with us (our meaning mine and my boyfriend's) if she doesn't, I don't fall asleep so easily, but I do keep the rule of her not being in the kitchen when I cook (don't know about the other household members) and she's not allowed on the sofa because of expensive material, but other than that, she's free to roam the house to any door that's open and the backyard, she is very spoiled and cuddled, there are reasons she's not allowed in some rooms, but she's allowed to roam.
When I was looking for a dog my parents and I set all these rules like no going on beds, the sofa is off limits, etc. (all the usual rules) but after getting my dog, Agatha, all that went out the window. She sleeps with me, she's on the couch in the evenings when I watch TV, she even sits with me when I'm eating dinner.
my dad was the same, "the dog isn't allowed on the couch, the beds, the bedrooms, in the kitchen, in the pool, he must sleep outside, he must eat dog food, no feeding him from the table" well the dog sleeps on the couch, the beds, in the bedrooms, in the kitchen. He is in the pool ALL summer and eats steak and roast (mainly from the table).( P.S my dad is the one who started letting him in the pool and feeding him from the table)
