No matter how successful, cool or elegant we are, we all have our days or brief moments when our common sense and dignity bid their farewell to us. Blame it on your brain having a fart, on Mercury in retrograde, on waking up on the wrong foot, it doesn’t change anything.

Sometimes we are all clueless, hilariously naive, and shamelessly embarrassing. So if you just did or said something stupid, we want to give you a big pat on the shoulder and tell you that you are not alone.

Below we wrapped up the list of images featuring people lost in the cloud of their brain farts, so scroll down. Also, be sure to check out more clueless people caught in action in Bored Panda’s previous features here and here.

While we can’t tell the reason that made these people act they way they did as seen in the images shared in this post, we can all agree on the obvious: it’s that humans are sometimes bold and unreasonable.

Luckily, the internet is a perfect place to celebrate these funny occasions. Just like the miscellaneous corner of Reddit known as the “What Could Go Wrong” community, which has been demonstrating examples of “what not to do” since 2013.

Sadly, even after being married for 14 years with 3 kids AND husband's approval to have tubes tied, several doctors refused, because " what if you get divorced and your new husband wants kids". I wish I was making this up

Wait til these kind of backwards people learn that you can get pregnant regardless of your marital status! That’s right folks, marriage has NOTHING to do with pregnancy or having a child, and vice versa.

I'm like 90% likely to be unable to carry a child to full term without significant damage to my own body or the baby's. If I don't take my medication every day, and get my jab every 3 months, I start bleeding like niagra falls (to the point i was near passing out in a&e) But yet.. "just in case" I still can't get a hysterectomy. Oh, and I'm also married. to a woman. ffs when does their b******t end.

I had a C-section with my daughter and I asked if they could tie my tubes during the procedure, and my OB said he could if I wasn't giving birth in a Catholic hospital. I was stunned. The hospital didn't allow any form of permanent birth control. I would've changed hospitals but my only other choice was the one that my mother had all of her cancer treatment in and was filled with bad memories for me :(

No one ever talked to me seriously about tying my tubes. I was told I would change my mind. Welllll... I'm 46, going through perimenopause and STILL don't want kids! But I couldn't get the procedure done. My husband would have gladly signed anything if it would've helped, but no. I wish I could have asked these doctors what religion they were and then patted them sagely on the shoulder and said, "well, you'll be an atheist some day" or something anti whatever THEY believed in.

46, ready to convince the doctor, all arguments listed. First thing he says 'great idea!'. So maybe y'all should come to the Netherlands to have this done 😊 I have no children but a furry floof. Doc said 'while we're at it, shall we also perform this procedure so you will not have periods anymore?'. God I wish I'd done this 10 years earlier. Insurance covered most costs I think I paid 385 (standard pay determined by the government) of the €2500 it cost.

I have 2 children a boy and a girl. Both with the same disability. I've been with the father 9 years. I also have debilitating hyperemisis gravidarum when pregnant which means I'd bed bound my entire pregnancy. I don't want to be on fake hormones anymore. I've been asking for 5 years. Still won't give me one. Told I'd have to wait till I'm 30, that came. Then wait till my youngest was 3, that came now I've got to make sure my partner is fully onboard, he is. Still no.

I was asked a lot of inappropriate and hurtful questions when I wanted sterilization. My body and my decision. I said the same to my husband, who was ready to undergo the operation himself because men seem to get it easier. I said no because I won't regret it and I don't want to take on anyone's regrets. I didn't want to take away the power of someone else to decide about their own body completely on their own. I knew that my decision would not affect the fact that my husband might someday want children and we should at least redefine the quality of our relationship, but I love him so much that I was ready to take the risk. I'm ok with that if he wants to reproduce, for example in the sense of co-parenting or start a traditional relationship without me. Love is sometimes a strange thing and sometimes giving up is loving.

I wanted a hysterectomy so I didn’t have periods, but it took having cervical cancer due to HPV and many grief counseling later before I finally got it. Even with cancer I had to convince many people that I was ok with not having any more kids. One even said that chemo would allow me and my future husband to have kids. Nope. I wasn’t going to have anymore than my two. I got the hysterectomy. I’m not sad. I don’t have a bf or husband. My nonbinary potato is amazing!!!

I had to explain to several people very well why it was ME that was gonna have my tubes tied and not my bf who was gonna have his junk *fixed*. My reasons: I was about to have my 3rd child and I strongly felt that my body couldn't go through a pregnancy again not if I want to be able to walk when I'm retired, that is. Also... I mean... we now have 3 kids! And... IF my bf and I should break up some day and he finds himself a younger model he wants to have kids with he should be able to do that. Because this is ME not wanting to carry more babies in MY body. So yes... even when I was expecting child nr. 3 I had to argue my case of wanting to have my tubes tied. Lol.

I was nervous bringing this topic up to my OB (been with her 7 months for my pregnancy). I wasn’t sure if her stance on it. She had the paper work for the insurance company in hand within 20 minutes ( insurance needs a 30 day notice or something). So I have 6 months after having my current baby to follow through. I was so relieved! (When I told my husband, he offered to get a vasectomy instead since recovery is a lot easier on him).

Not really. That's just one person. If a restaurant refuses to serve you they don't own anything, and you just go to another restaurant. If the doctor refuses to treat you that's his judgment based on his experience. He does not have to fulfill every desire or the full will of any patient. Just find a doctor who'll do it, your body actually still belongs to you.

No legal requirement in the UK and the US and the three men I know who had it done didn't need the wife to sign a thing. Even where there is no legal requirement to involve a husband women still get refused, men rarely do. You can try and make it sound equal, but it is not.

They probably get really tired of people who make permanent decisions when they're young begging them to reverse the results of those decisions later. Life is short, but it's longer than you think, y'all. I'm not saying those doctors are right, I'm just saying I see their point.

The doctor doesn't have to perform an elective procedure on you if he's not feeling it. And a store owner doesn't have to tolerate you being in his store if he's not feeling it.

Tim trying to show what a badass he is, instead he just showed himself to be a clueless a*s! Also, 12.4k people agreed with him, yikes.

But bold actions we all sometimes do without thinking twice about them may have to do with our lack of sense of actions and consequences. This may be deliberate or not, since some people struggle to control their impulsivity.

Another reason may be the fact that we live in the age of instant gratification. From social media to online shopping, the ability to get what we want with the click of a button has eliminated the need for long-term planning and consideration of the potential consequences of our actions.

Our culture has become one of immediacy, where people are more concerned with the short-term gratification of their desires than with the long-term consequences.

I was working on a commercial (makeup artist) and we were filming outside all day. I was walking around putting sunscreen on all of the actors and one flat out refused it and said that he never uses it and never burns. Guy ended up frying and blistering and getting heatstroke. Hopefully he learned from that.

On a larger scale, this lack of consideration for the consequences of our actions has led to environmental degradation and climate change. We have failed to take the long-term view and instead have focused on short-term gains, leading to a situation where we are now facing the consequences of our actions.

If you are 25+ with no kids... bet you get to sleep and stuff. Sit down for dinner without having to stand up til you're finished. Go on nights out without thinking about childcare. I feel sorry on you. /S :)

King James Bible - Mark 16:13-15. 'And THEY went and told it unto the residue: neither believed THEY THEM. Afterward HE appeared unto the eleven as THEY sat at meat, and upbraided THEM with THEIR unbelief and hardness of heart, because THEY believed not THEM which had seen HIM after HE was risen. And HE said unto THEM, go ye out into the world...'!

Conversely, i know of a lady who, on whirlwind tour of Europe and stressed by language difficulties, one day finding herself in a large seemingly-public building called out 'DOES ANYONE HERE SPEAK ENGLISH?'. After a stunned silence, a well-modulated voice replied 'madam, this IS the Bank of England'.

You would think r/NewsWithJingjing is a troll subreddit, but you would be wrong. It's a cesspool blending different types of nazi supporters, where -for some weird combination of factors- russian and chinese nationalists regularly come to agree on the stupidest, most idiotic talking points from regime propaganda.
