I have come to realize their are people who are True Christians and follow the principles of love your neighbor and your God, and those who call themselves Christian and give the entire thing a bad name. So far as the sexual morality thing, Jesus never said it was ok for the prostitute to continue as such, but he still treated her with dignity love and respect. I, as a Christian may adhere to certain sexual mores and standards, but I still follow Christ's example when associating with people who have a different way of life than me. We owe that dignity, love and respect to everyone regardless. I could literally go on and on about this and how "christians" make my blood boil, but I am gifting you my absence. :)

Althoug my (or even ours - no offence meant, just assuming that, because of the Muslim country you grew up in) view on the world is a different one, Jesus is also one of the prophets in the Quran - and even for that reason alone, I wouldn't want to deny them their rightful moral growth in the course of history . Why would you draw conclusions, that I disrespect Christians? This was never my intention and never will be. I think you misunderstood what I was trying to get across. And yes, it kills me every time, when I hear about an terrorist attack with an extremist/Islamistic background - I despise those people no less than you do and that will never change, no matter how much I want to stand for what I believe in. Free speech is a fundamental right and I never wanted it any other way.

Unfortunately, so called "Christianity" has a history of attacking people who believe differently. The Inquisition, the "rice-christians " in 3rd world countries, Westboro Baptist. The record is full of those who claim the title of Christianity and twist it to suit their own ends, and who do so even today. I try to very hard follow closely in Jesus' steps, but those who market hatred in Gods name make me so angry.

I just don't like attacking someone because he lessens his fear of death by believing, that there's something after death. Why does it bother you so much, that people need hope? Thanks to most of the other posters for being mostly respectful of each other. It's been a refreshing post. I love when people of different beliefs can get together and respectfully share viepoints

It's true, I was being passive aggressive with my question and for that I'm sorry. But my question didn't start with an unhonest intention. I'm just against denying respect to people with different viewpoints, while at the same time expecting tolerance for oneselfs custom lifestyle. It's always about equality. And there's nothing wrong with any lifestyle/belief, as long as it doesn't hurt other poeple. And I'm not going to argue with the rest of your answer as I assume that it's a result of past experiences based on extremist Islamistic actions which I despise the same way you do. And I am sorry, for that, although I have no influence over these people nor will I ever have enough power to stop this murdering bullshit. To be honest, I am ashamed of the fact, that I have to speak about them at all.

I hear you, but I think many DO believe in their gods- they just compartmentalize their lives so there's no cognitive dissonance and only surround themselves with people who believe likewise - not to mention if your born into it - it's hard to see reality. I think, not sure, you are speaking as a logical person never fully under the sway of a fundamental religion. It is really crazy, the people are not logical and there is an nonsensical answer for everything, even when it obviously conflicts. We would be so much better off without religion.
