This dog has been conditioned to think he's getting punished when owner gets home. That the punishments are related to stuff he did as much as several hours earlier is completely lost on him. Therefore, the look does not prove anything actually happened. Probably something did, because it's clearly been happening every other day. But the look isn't related to it.

Priceless. My dog would give me the same look, then walk to his bed tail between his legs and head and ears down, and there I would find the remnant of his theft .
