Are you ready to take a short break and relax with the new comic series we've prepared for you today? If so, great! We're excited to introduce you to Mark Lynch and his "Daily Cartoon," making its debut feature on Bored Panda. As the artist promises on his Facebook account, he "brings you his unique humor through the genre of cartoons."We reached out to Mark and asked him some questions about the series he creates. Firstly, we wanted to know more about the inspiration behind his work. Lynch shared with us:

“Simply the ability to draw something that others could understand and at times, laugh about. I equate it to a stand-up-comedian without the love audience.”

Asked about the recurring themes in his comics, the artist answered: “Hopefully, there is one recurring theme, silliness! It’s just the way my mind works, I see things in a way that brings a smile to my face, then attempt to interpret them onto paper, then onto my computer to bring them to life.”

We were also wondering if Mark could tell us more about the characters featured in his series. The artist said: “From the everyday, such as older people having difficulty with new technology, or the thought-bubbles of newborns before they can talk, right through to animals that can talk or my sometimes bizarre take on historical periods. And of course, I wouldn’t be much of a cartoonist if I didn’t throw in a few desert island drawings.”

Lynch told us how his creative process looks and how he generates new ideas for his strips: “I like to be contemporary as well being a bit silly. So if I see something happening in society that you can have a humorous dig at, such as being ‘Over-WOKE’ or politicians or bankers trying to appear honest… I think that’s fair game for a lampoon.”

Lastly, Mark shared with us his influences in the world of comedy and humor: “On the cartooning front, I think Gary Larson (The Far Side) opened it up for people like me to run free with our ideas. I don’t pretend to be his contemporary, but like millions of others, a fan. I also enjoy many European illustrators that are able to depict their message without using words, just graphics.

Even though I’m Australian, British humor has always been a favourite of mine, beginning with The Goons radio show featuring Spike Milligan, through to Monty Python. Their level of scatterbrained funniness was right up my alley!”

Long-distance relationships are hard to manage. Worse when only half the couple is migratory.

Unfortunately, that's the problem; stupidity accepts just about any claims that fit it's assumptions - most of which are, that everyone else is more stupid. "Nullius in verba" is wisdom.

If that’s his last movement, this must be just before he died and started de-composing.

Give the human credit for recognizing it. All hope is not lost... yet.

You win a conversation by talking louder and longer than the opposition. It's the only way.

Send someone to Wikipedia to re-define the word "dozen" - or call it the "fun" size, that always works
