And getting your hands on your latest purchase is even easier. All you do is sit at home and wait for it your order delivery arriving straight to your doorstep. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, quite a lot, actually. Take a look at this hilarious list of delivery fails to see what we mean. Compiled by Bored Panda, the pictures serve to remind us that sometimes it's easier to collect your parcel yourself than trust it to your delivery man. Bad judgement there... I'm a USPS guy myself, and you gotta think about whether the customer will be able to get it out. Also, don't want the customer accusing you of crushing the contents.

This has happened to me with my full-sized mailbox. Usually the mailman leaves larger packages on my porch, but I bet there was a lazy substitute that day. Took me forever to get that package out and it was squashed to fit in.

Yes!! This! My mailman had done this to me twice! I had to slowly rip open the boxes and take everything out, then rip out the boxes!

A good idea is to plan ahead - check the expected size of the products you are about to buy before buying them - that way you can specify to your carrier exactly how and when you will want it delivered. The surprise alternative is as big a frustration to the carrier(delivery man) as it is for you.

Interesting how all of the images of a delivery truck in a building feature FedEx, at least at the time of this comment. I wonder if UPS and USPS are similarly destructive or if FedEx is just the worst of the bunch.

I don't know about everywhere else but at my house usps will always ring the bell and place the package carefully. UPS rings the bell at least half the time and always places the package carefully. Fed ex throws them and runs. I figure they must be horrid to work for heh.

I got a box of GIANT box chocolates for party favors and it said 'lindt' on the front. We were all home and the delivery man hid the box behind the garage instead of putting it on the front step. I LIVE IN A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD. CHOCOLATE MELTED. THANKS UPS. a******s.

I'm really surprised how bad the delivery services are. I live in Eastern Europe, the frowned upon area :D but it seems our delivery is far superior. I don't know of any delivery service in the country that delivers items and just leaves them there ( only exception is actual mail that goes in the mail box). Anything else you either go pick it up ( national mail service) or it gets delivered to you in person. Usually you leave a phone number and they always contact you a bit in advance and if you can't get home or something you can change the delivery address. Also if you get delivered items you bought they have to let you look inside the box to check the integrity of the item. Maybe more people should sue so they stop doing this.

Even in Japan, overseas delivery sucks because it goes into customs torn all to hell and they offer to rebox it for you. XD
