Imagine if you had the ability to transform yourself into anyone. Who would you choose?
With the ever-growing hype around cosplay, people are getting utterly creative with the tools they use: from budget-friendly household items to food. And while the results of those parody-style experiments can be hilarious, we definitely still appreciate the traditional cosplay classics created from make-up, wigs, and costumes.
21-year-old Russian singer, make-up artist and goddess of cosplay Jules Gudkova has a natural talent and killer skills of bringing characters of popular movies, TV shows, modern and childhood cartoons, and even toys to life with extreme accuracy. One day she’s an innocent princess, another - a whimsical animated character or a badass superhero. And although her uncanny impersonations look effortless, we guarantee that a lot of time and effort is involved.
A combination of various media, genres and creative tools make for head-turning makeovers that compliment any taste. From geeks to little princess wannabes, her stunning artistry has built her an impressive following of 83k on Instagram.
We don‘t encourage you to change your appearance, and self-love always comes first but turning yourself into someone you look nothing alike can be fun and very entertaining. Here‘s some inspiration for your next Comic-Con or a dress-up party!

Corpse Bride
"Remake of my make-up on Emily from “Corpse Bride”... this is my favorite cartoon by Tim Burton. And yeah,
and I still cry every time I hear a "Tears to shed'"
Amazing! I'm just glad she didn't use the shot where the worm is coming out of her eye!
It's my legit favorite movie and Helena Bonham Carter has a beautiful voice.💙💙💙💙
Come at me guys... I just loath Tim Burton works. COME AT ME!!!! Or, just agree. You know it's a little freaky.
Wow! This takes dedication! The cheekbones really tie it all together!
Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)
"Public displays of affection make people uncomfortable"
The Moscow-based young artist says she is a ‘Disneynerd’ and her affection for cartoons perfectly reflects in her works. She’s transformed herself into probably every princess created: tomboyish Merida, gorgeous Ariel, and the beloved “Frozen” sisters, you name it she's done it. Jules draws inspiration both from modern pop culture, like superheroes from Marvel’s blockbusters or Game of Thrones characters, and nostalgic classics, like voluptuous Jessica Rabbit, Princess Leia or enchanting Morticia Addams.
Hela
"I'm not a queen or a monster... I'm the god of death!"
Hi, its Ragnarok (final destruction of the world) :)
Load More Replies...Scarlett Ohara
"I won’t think about it now, I’ll think about it tomorrow, when I can stand it!"
I love the quote just as much as the cosplay- okay, you are damn good, Jules, but the quote wins :)
The surreal world of cosplay invites talented individuals to pay tribute to their favorite movie, video game or book characters. Naturally, we see imitations of same characters all over the Internet which reflects whatever’s trending in today’s pop culture. Jules Gudkova is no exception, but while she has impersonated some of the most famous characters, some of her artworks are a breath of fresh air.
Tinkerbell
"Modern Tinker Bell from art by amazing artist Fernanda Suarez. I’m deeply in love with her arts!"
well, to be fair, tinkerbell hit a rough patch for about a decade. Had to go to meetings.
Load More Replies...Wow, the tinker bell in the drawing looks like Margot Robbie (or what's her name? I think that's it)
wow she has skills! I had no idea it was possible to turn into a cartoon.👏
Gamora
"For me, so sad that Gamora died in “Infinity War”... But honestly it's not so sad as a trailer of 'Endgame'"
HO.LEE.S**T. home girl needs a hollywood make up artist job cause damn.
While cosplay at its core is the practice of transforming into a particular character, it’s more than just playing dress up. Rather than buying a finished costume, cosplay involves handcrafting and sourcing perfect pieces to recreate detailed looks. Taking into account the professional approach, lots of time, effort and expenses are invested, and cosplay becomes more than a hobby or creative pursuit for many people; it becomes a career and, for some, a way of life.
Astrid Hofferson
"Have you already seen "How to train your dragon"? Honestly, I laughed like crazy! This is a very funny and cute cartoon. So, this is a fast cosplay test for Astrid Hofferson."
This one is the best from animated heroes. Here she nailed it.
Shouldn't that be "Astrid Hoffersdottir"? Hofferson would be the patronymic for her brother.
I haven't seen the movie, but if she's Icelandic, then yes it should be
Load More Replies...I love this! There definitely should be a live action How to Train your dragon. Amazing job! :)
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)
Jessica Rabbit
Me too!! Think I should just do it this Halloween!
Load More Replies...Helga Sinclair
"Move it, people! Sometime today would be nice!"

Lara Croft
"Tomb Raider 1996"
*further intensified intensified intense staring intensifies even friggin further*
My uncle played a lot of tomb raider at this time. So many men drooled over her pixels!!!
I never understood that. I mean, I had a friend who played the game five or six hours straight, trying to trigger that secret Easter egg cut scene of her in a towel. I was like, 'Ah, dude. two things. One. Internet. two... real girls. over there. better boobs.'
Load More Replies...Merida
"A' gi'd mah mammy a cake, she turned innta a big bear, n' mah auld yin tries tae dae her in! If that's not pure mess, a' don't know whit is!"
I remember this in the movie! Had to rewind it a few times the get what she said!
Did you know if you straightened Merida’s hair it would be longer Repunzel’s?? Fun fact: I used to call Merida by the movie title for so long Merida’s name was Brave to me
Alice Asylum
"Do you love American McGee’s Alice in her new dress? I’m in love with concepts of “Alice: Asylum”! Btw I’m a big fan of Alice’s game and I’m really good as a player. American McGee’s Alice was my favorite game in 2010, and I bought PS3 only for 'Alice: Madness Returns'"
She looks really good with her hair and make up styles like that! This is a good look on her!
Mantis
"When you're ugly, and someone loves you, you know they love you for who you are... Beautiful people never know who to trust"
I love the addition of Mantis in Guardians 2, opens such opportunities for humor and deeper emotion with Drax.
No one is ugly!! But you can be very ugly on the inside, saying people is ugly. And if you are ugly on the inside, it shines throughout and you becomes ugly!
if the even friggin further intensified further intensified intensified staring could intensify further it would.
Corpse Bride
"Are you ready for Halloween? Who will you be in (sic) this day? Omg the last days of October is (sic) best days in the year. I just love it!"
Sabrina
"Since my childhood, Salem witches were interesting to me with their witchcraft, coven and other magic things. In Russia, we know very little about the culture of American witches, but this is really fascinating."
Clarisse And Mia
"Do you remember “The princess diaries”? What is your favorite part?"
In the first movie when they crash into the bus and the queen makes the police officer and bus driver special (idk what it’s called) with a parking brake 😂😂
My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, Prepare to die! Oh, Wait.. wrong princess movie.. Sorry.
I love Princess Diaries!! The princess slumber party in the second movie was one of my favorite parts. Amazing cosplay, too. Also, I've heard they're coming out with a third movie??
I just watched this early and then I click on this post haha. Amazing by the way
Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen)
Y’all can’t pretend we woman don’t have boobs. We have boobs. It’s not the end of the world if she shows a tiny lil mm of chest.
The actress who played Cindy Lou Who grew up to be the singer for a band called The Pretty Reckless
Rapunzel And Mother Gothel
"Rapunzel, look in that mirror - you know what I see? I see a strong, confident, beautiful young lady... Oh look, you're here too!"
I’m not a strong, confident, beautiful young lady whatever those words are
Bride Of Chucky
She's the one on the left no idea why they switched them

Giselle (Amy Adams)
"Today I’m Giselle from “Enchanted”. Do you like this movie? This is one of the best movie (sic) for me and my mom, we watch it very often and every time we laugh and cry like the first time. And we love the story of Robert and Giselle, they are the cutest couple ever"
How does she know we, he loves her... How does she know, he's rigg9?
did y'all know they're making a sequel to Enchanted called "Disenchanted" with the original cast?
Coraline Jones
"I don't want whatever I want. Nobody does. Not really. What kind of fun would it be if I just got everything I ever wanted just like that, and it didn't mean anything? What then?"
This movie scared the s**t out of me in 6th grade... was horrified of buttons for months afterwards... awesome cosplay though! Hair on point!
I saw it in 3rd grade and was terrified, but at the same time I was obsessed with it.
Load More Replies...Best movie ever watched it at 6 years old and fell in love with the movie
Fiona
"You know, you should sweep me off my feet out yonder window and down a rope onto your valiant steed."
Rapunzel
"Cosplay test on Rapunzel from 2017. Honestly, Rapunzel is my most unrealizable cosplay plan. While still a teenager, I often watched a cartoon about her, and I really wanted to make her costume entirely... Her dress and crown look incredibly beautiful! But I understand that my nose and face shape are completely different from Rapunzel, so... and without Eugene, I would hardly have decided to do it. I had the same situation with “Zootopia”, but then I found myself Nick and cosplay happened"
I think Photoshop is a legit part of cosplay if you're going to appear online. At a convention it's harder because you're there in person.
Lola Bunny
"Do you remember this hot bunny? Nostalgia time"
Woah she cosplayed a bunny! Was low key hoping for rabbit ears though ;P
I think she did a great joke making the hair look like ears
Load More Replies...*intensely flicks between both* I don't know which is which! Aahhh so good!
Wear are her ears??? How am I supposed to know she is a rabbit?? My housebunny is very disappointed.
Jessie
"Jessie is one of my first cosplay plans ever. I adored characters like her when I was a teenager, and now I still consider her the most interesting character in “Toy Story”. All my childhood I was sure that Woody and Jessie are a couple and I still ship it! There is nothing you can do because they have chemistry!"
Having a generic shaped face and "skillz" in photoshop, does not make a cosplayer. Most of the pictures were way too manipulated. I'd like to see these without the photoshopping.
I quess you can call it cosplay, but if 50% of a photo is edited, you can't go out in it to a convention tho. Thats a lot more difficult, to look like a character without being able to edit yourself
Most of these are very well done. Especially the cosmettic-side. But sometimes a character is only convincing when the expression he or she has is mimmicked the right way. To my taste this girl is a model that doesn't pull of all the characters that great. That's why i think not all characrers are that well done, some feel just like costumes (the Coraline one for example doesn't have the right quirky expression). But very well done! Respect!
Yeah... Her costumes look good but the pictures look like paintings, so I can only assume that there's a lot of photo shop going on .
How much highlight does she go through every month? it seems like a ginormous amount
how did she manage to turn into every single character that turned me gay?
