I know this likely wasn't your intention, but pathologizing and stigmatizing personality disorders such as NPD doesn't help any. He's a dumpster fire of a human being and should not be around other people, but I know people with narcissistic personality disorder who are perfectly kind people (I've known them long enough to know it's not a facade) who just have a need for certain types of positive attention that they meet in perfectly healthy ways.

Some random dude messaged me on Facebook saying hi. He looked decent enough so I replied. After a few short messages he asked for a photo (not nude). I said I won't do that. He asked again and I didn't answer because I was at work and really busy (which I had already told him in the first few messages). He then asked me if I was sleeping. I said no, I'm at work and can't really talk. He asked again for a photo. When I said I'm at work (for the nth time) he got really mad and started calling me names, like 10+ messages of ranting and name-calling, all because I wouldn't send a photo And then he blocked me lol

Honestly having tried it and found online dating to be awful, I don't know what's worse trying to hold one sided conversations with matches or some of these lovely examples above but clearly there seems to be a massive difference between tinder in Scotland and tinder in the states. Though to be fair it seems to work well for some and then for others its a massive algorithm scam designed to get cash from people who are lonely and looking to meet people. No excuses for some of the absolute melts who are on there though XD

I was talking to some guy, he seemed nice and polite but when we made plans to meet up for coffee he kept resheduling (work called him in, he forgot he already had an appointment etc) and suggesting he'd come by my place after work, late at night, instead. Told him I wasn't comfortable with that, he kept asking, so I told him look I have a lot going on right now, sorry but it's not happening. All is well, he seemed to take the hint. A couple of months later I got a message asking how I'm doing etc, I told him I'm not interested. Got a couple more messages, ignored him first then blocked him. Six months later, a friend request on Facebook. Ignored it. Two years later (just recently) another friend request out of nowhere. Idk if hes just a very polite stalker or just very hopeful, he's def been more presistent than is normal but not really so much that it's been a bother.

Some random dude messaged me on Facebook saying hi. He looked decent enough so I replied. After a few short messages he asked for a photo (not nude). I said I won't do that. He asked again and I didn't answer because I was at work and really busy (which I had already told him in the first few messages). He then asked me if I was sleeping. I said no, I'm at work and can't really talk. He asked again for a photo. When I said I'm at work (for the nth time) he got really mad and started calling me names, like 10+ messages of ranting and name-calling, all because I wouldn't send a photo And then he blocked me lol

Honestly having tried it and found online dating to be awful, I don't know what's worse trying to hold one sided conversations with matches or some of these lovely examples above but clearly there seems to be a massive difference between tinder in Scotland and tinder in the states. Though to be fair it seems to work well for some and then for others its a massive algorithm scam designed to get cash from people who are lonely and looking to meet people. No excuses for some of the absolute melts who are on there though XD

I was talking to some guy, he seemed nice and polite but when we made plans to meet up for coffee he kept resheduling (work called him in, he forgot he already had an appointment etc) and suggesting he'd come by my place after work, late at night, instead. Told him I wasn't comfortable with that, he kept asking, so I told him look I have a lot going on right now, sorry but it's not happening. All is well, he seemed to take the hint. A couple of months later I got a message asking how I'm doing etc, I told him I'm not interested. Got a couple more messages, ignored him first then blocked him. Six months later, a friend request on Facebook. Ignored it. Two years later (just recently) another friend request out of nowhere. Idk if hes just a very polite stalker or just very hopeful, he's def been more presistent than is normal but not really so much that it's been a bother.
