Let's get one thing straight. A REAL mom isn't created by pushing another individual through their vagina. Neither does a REAL mom pop into being by means of C-section. No. A REAL mom is forged through loving their child (biological, step, foster....). This process might happen when the child is born, but it doesn't always. It might involve cleaning up pooh and vomit. It could include many sleepless nights. However, the one deciding factor is love. That's what makes us REAL.

Tell me you don't understand what a C-section entails... it's not just "stomach cut open" (I mean, it's not even that), it's major trauma where your intestines are lifted out and laid on you so that your womb can then be cut open and a baby removed from it. It is *not* the easy way out.

in my country we call our wealthy hospital 'caesar's palace' due to high income women prefering to not do natural childbirth (yes, it's a preference, not a medical necessity. In fact, in my country in the high income area it is the default). "Too posh to push" is the saying. Alarming.

Most mum’s want their child to be healthy - that’s the most important thing. If the doctor says that for the safety of the baby or the mother that a c-section is recommended, then have the c-section.

This kind of c**p passes me off. I had my first vaginally and the next 4 births were c-sections. I would give almost anything to go back in time and advocate more strongly for myself with the birth of my twins (first section) or at least for a v-bac after. The vaginal birth was way easier to recover from.

I and my son would have died without an emergency c-section. A medical necessity as not everyone's body does what it's supposed to during childbirth. Not my choice, but I am very glad I don't pee a little bit when I cough or laugh.

Jesus christ some people are annoying. C-sections hurt a lot! and are essential so people dont die sometimes. My mom had 2 C-sections and they were scarring. cutting open your stomach to have a baby is hard. Because all childbirth is hard, no matter how the baby is birthed.

Great, cervical dilation is now a contest. Let's make a reality show out of it, why don't we? It could be called The Dilation Delusion or somthing. Awards go to the largest diameter, the fastes dilation and for extra points there could be a mini game about who can shoot the baby farthest. If any channel wants to pick up my pitch, give me a call!

Ah... hehehehehe yeah. C-Section Moms have it easy because they totally do not have their bellies cut open and their insides moved around to have the child taken out, while simultaneously holding on to life for anything else they might've faced during the pregnancy or while in childbirth... yeah. Births are totally something to start a competition over.

Women who have cesarean sections do not have it easier. It is surgery. There are major muscles getting severed. There's the risk of infection. Weakening of the abdominal muscles. Longer recovery. I'm glad cesarean sections are available to mothers who need them, but no one should be flexing about the method you had your child, and no one is more or less of a mother than anyone else.

I had both..2 vaginal births..1 C-section to save my twins lives..people have asked me which way is easier or better or less painful. In my opinion I rather give birth vaginally ANYDAY! I was up in a couple of hours after giving birth. A little sore. When I had the c-section I was stuck in bed. Next day I couldn't stand up straight! It was so painful! So never tell a mother that she's not a real mother because she had c-section!! She knows the pain of birth! There's no easy way out!!

wtf?! now there are moms attempting to shame moms who had c sections? well, i was one of them because, apparently, i like to give birth to babies bordering on the size of small toddlers. and, believe me, it is not the easy way out. sure, you may have torn or1 had an episiotomy and that is so much harder than having 1 to 6 weeks of recovering from surgery and taking care of a newborn. but, you go on with your bad-a*s self and your sitz bath moments.

having known several people that have had them, recovery from a C section is usually much longer and more difficult.

Dude, my kid was 9lbs, 14 oz and 23 inches long. I pushed for 5 FREAKING HOURS before the doc said "I think he's too big to come out this way". Yeah, screw you and your "imma ReAl MoM" BS. A mom is a mom is a mom, regardless of what or where they came from.

My mom had a c-section for my two brothers and me. I have endometriosis and during my second surgery, there were complications and they had to perform the same incision they use for a c-section. It is brutal. I stayed at the hospital for two days and was bedridden most of that time. Right before I was going to be discharged, they had me walk around and I never thought I'd struggle to walk so much after a non-leg/knee/hip related surgery. It was no walk in the park when I got home either. Then, I imagined having to take care of a baby on top of all of that. I don't know if that's how c-sections typically go, but if it's similar enough, these women have my respect. And nothing against vaginal births either. It's just that birth in general takes a great toll on a woman's body, no matter how it's achieved.

1st born never knew was in labour as had back pain on off till 9cm (back labour) 2nd went into distress nearly had c section till she came 10 mins before op covered in poo and cord around neck mate had first child not long ago be emergency c section to save baby and mum we both suffered equally so does it matter as long as mum and baby are safe

After going thru hellish and extended labor and my baby got stuck on the way thru, I thought if be a fake mom and have a c section so my baby wouldn't die. If anyone claimed c section moms weren't real mind to my face, I would bèât them to a blöody fécking pulp, scoop up the pulp with a shovel, and flush it! (Or maybe just knóck them out and walk away

As a mom who's done BOTH. I can say I prefer the natural birth to c section. C-section recovery was MUCH harder and this is coming from someone who's natural birth was a 9 lb baby. I'm 5'2

It takes a lot more time to recover from a c section than it does to recover from a vaginall birth. My sister had a terrible infection after a c section and it took months for her scar to heal properly. Such a moronic thing to say

I was a c section baby my mother had diabetes the last month of her pregnancy her sugar was really high and they had to remove me a quickly as possible. So saying women having c section are taking the easy way out really have no clue why some women opt to have a c section.

When on earth did we get the idea that surgery is easier than child birth. You see it sometimes when people choose a c-section, too. But like...if you can give birth safely you will heal way more quickly with fewer potential negative side effects or complications from a vaginal birth (I am not knocking people who get c-sections, just always baffled by this particular logic...)

My wife had emergency c-section with both our children. Her stomach muscles collapsed because of it, so she has what she calls a flap, and I call a Battle Scar. She gave up her bikini model body in order to have our babies. She is gorgeous in my eyes. Every delivery is different for various women. What separates mothers from moms are dedication, love, nurturing. I always said any man can be a father but it takes a real man to be a dad. I now state that any women can be a mother, but it takes a real woman to be a mom.

My daughter was 8lbs 11oz. I gave birth to her naturally, no C-section but that doesn't mean C-section babies are easier. A lot of babies have to be born that way otherwise the life of child or mother is at risk.

Ohhhhh these types of "real mom" people really p*ss me off. C-sections are no joke. I got sliced open from hip to hip TWICE, none of my organs down there are even remotely in the same place they once were and let's not even get into the fact that my intestines were just shoved back in. Thanks to the spinal shot I had, I couldn't feel my legs for HOURS which caused me severe anxiety. I was hospitalized far longer than most regular births due to a c-section being major surgery and my recovery time was far longer. So anyone who says this sh*t immediately gets zero respect from me.
