Some people really enjoy the thrill that comes with fear. It makes them feel alive. Things like rollercoaster rides and horror movies are often associated with the release of adrenaline and endorphins, creating a unique and exhilarating sensation.
But there might be an even simpler way to explore your limits — a subreddit dedicated exclusively to interesting yet terrifying content. The pictures that its 670K members share allow everyone to do so from the safety of their screens.
So continue scrolling to check out the intense bed bug infestations, old torture masks, and other scary pieces this online community keeps in its collection.

Reiko Yamada Was 11 Years Old When The World’s First Atomic Bomb Fell On The Japanese City Of Hiroshima. This Extract From Her Recount Of The Bombing Is Truly Harrowing
It was unfortunate, but the Hiroshima Bombing ended the war quickly. Had it not been dropped we would have invaded and countless more would have died. The Japanese Empire lied to civillians and told them american soldiers would eat their children, so they would have likely committed mass suicides as seen on other islands during the war.
Load More Replies...Now some dictators want to throw these bombs again. The world is sick.
I thought the same thing too. We are getting fed lies and propaganda to try and convince us to hate people who are being fed lies and propaganda who all in the end just want to live their life and take care of the people they love. We ALL have way more in common with others, but are seen as just pawns for the elites' games. Idk where you are from, who you worship, what you wear, or how you speak you are not my enemy. My enemies are the people who believe that humans don't deserve shelter, food, clothing, healthcare, safety, stability, education, or to get a say in how to live our lives.
Load More Replies...OMG! I can't even imagine what was going thru their minds when they realized it was their mother!
There are no words for such horror. Sick of the tit-for-tat excuses human beings use to justify atrocity.
What the Japanese did to Pearl Harbour was nothing compared to what the Americans did to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. People are still suffering and dying as a result of their atom bombs
Load More Replies...Those bombs were horrific Yet, what the Imperial Japanese had planned would have made the bombs pale in comparison
Honestly, Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, us kills around 250000 people in two bombs
@Rebelliousslug it really depends on the people, I'm not talking racism or Holocaust I'm talking the people who caused that. But even then, those people don't deserve hellish nightmare punishments, but certainly not a merciful death penalty either, anyway, what I'm saying is it really depends on the person and what they did in their life that was INTENTIONAL if someone unintentionally hurt someone else badly, it's not their fault :)
The things they did to our men who were taken prisoner is beyond horrific. Eating them alive.
War, huh, yeah. What is it good for? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The sooner we as humans learn, the better... T_T
Pretty soon history classes in the US won’t teach it because it hurts the feelings
Kids are fine with learning this stuff. It's the grown-a*s adults who get their tightly whities in a knot about teaching actual history that might cast a pall over the US.
Load More Replies...Hindsight is 20 20 everyone can say what they want but at the end of the day the war was over was it a horrible freaking way to end it yes it was but horrible c**p was done by both sides. And trying to say one side was worse is a f*****g futile effort cause people are always going to we are meaning the USA cuz of the atomic bomb and will say it was them trying to literally rape other cultures out of existence and murder but perspective is everything
This is awful. Truly heart-rending. I can’t fathom the power that drove that poor woman to get back to her children. I'm sure that story has many, many analogs among the people who survived the awful bombing. That said, I want to remind everyone that Japan started the war. And that the United States warned the Japanese we had a doomsday weapon the likes of which the world had never seen, and that they should surrender else we'd use it. And that it took two of these horrific bombings for Japan to comply. Guilt for the terrible sufferings of the people belongs to the Japanese government.
It was the government who started the war, and the soldiers who committed atrocities, yet in the case of Hiroshima and Nagasaki almost exclusively civilians (plus an assorted number of POWs) who paid the price. If "but they started it" is now the approved justification I'm sure the people in Vietnam or Cambodia would like to join in the discussion, not to mention the first nations. "They made us do it" is a poor excuse, worthy of a domestic abuser. There would have been military targets galore, to name but one alternative. It's easy to see it as the best of many bad alternatives if the victims are all on the other party's side.
Load More Replies...The US committed genocide when the bombs were dropped. That needs to be acknowledged

The Man Who Flooded A Town For Sex
In 1993, a man named James Scott purposely damaged a levee and caused a massive flood of the Mississippi River only to stall his wife from coming home so that he could party.
His actions flooded 14,000 acres of farmland, destroyed buildings, and closed a bridge. He was convicted of "intentionally causing a catastrophe" and is still in prison serving a life sentence.
He may be innocent of that since it was some odd thing in the trial, as one of the main whitnesses having a major financial interest in having the cause being vandalism and not natural. However, as he has commited several arsons and burglaries he does belong in jail.

this is a pic of a puppy. It didn't kill anyone, didn't get harmed in any way, hasn't gotten sick and is still around with it's owner who takes care of it. It's just a beautiful puppy that you should look at because this list was frankly, traumatizing. Screenshot...79-png.jpg
I don't mind this kind of "creepy but fascinating" content. I DO mind that when I click on an article showing wildlife photography, I'm greeted with pictures of dead animals. Now I just don't click on wildlife photography pictures. I can still see that poor dead owl in my mind. :(
For anyone who needs an eye bleach from all this, please know we rescued six cats from an abandoned house last night, we cleaned and dewormed them, they had a full meal, and are now happily sleeping in their warm new beds.
I was thinking these would be more "spooky" and "creepy" disturbing than "actually tragic" disturbing 😓
Some of these are interesting but I can’t handle this s**t about violence against children. Cancel this s**t.
