She (former roommate and bestie) dumped my cat out in a field while I was at work because her boyfriend didn't like cats. He was missing for 5 months and one day I got the call that he was possibly found. Someone found him half dead just one mile from where he was dumped and brought him to the shelter. It was him.

Let me guess: They were from the South and were part of a religion that was fond of pointing Bible verses that more or less say slavery is OK (and believe me there are many such verses) or a verse or two that they claim state Blacks are supposed to be slaves to whites (haven't found THAT one yet). I ask if they were from the South because I have found a lot of slavery apologists from the South. I believe it's because they are in love, love, LOVE with the idea that their ancestors were such good, pious, God-fearing people. And the parts of history that indicate otherwise they either try to make light of it, try to excuse it, or just flat out deny it ever happened at all.

Not a friend, an ex. After I left, I discovered that he was a p**ophile. How did I know? His fb messenger was still logged in on my phone and I was being nosy. Saw where he was discussing with someone a living arrangement and they were telling him about their “habit” and he was all for it and talking about participating!!! I sent the screenshots to the FBI and never looked back again.

I'm trying not to judge too much here, these are highly Professional Arséholes who know exactly what to say and how. Eight years a relationship, many people get bored, feel their partner their partner is taking them for granted etc and it's frequently the case. This is the PERFECT opportunity for a romance scammer to edge their way in. I feel very sorry for all the people caught up in this 😔

It’s not my job to teach a bigot. Even one I previously cared for. That is labor that can be intensive enough to distract from other valuable labors and is often without the desired results. It’s not my job, ever, to teach someone basic knowledge & it’s definitely not my job to teach them decency & compassion. I will model those things, but will not make it my mission to teach them. Its joyless. It’s never as successful as one hopes. It’s often poorly managed expectations. Instead, recognize that this isn’t worth the time & effort and cut your losses.

It wasn't until I was in my early 20s that one of my friends called me on some dumb shít I had said without thinking. Many years ago, I got a small kitten who started using a corner of the living room when he couldn't make it to the litter box in time. So I put a small litter box there for a couple of weeks, then moved it closer to the stairs down to the main box for a couple of weeks. What a b***h. I had 3 cats, 2 of which had medical issues that caused them to regularly do their business around the house. I pretty much had to clean up mess daily for years. I never even considered getting rid of them. Instead I switched from carpets to laminate flooring ( much easier to clean).

This is weird because kittens train themselves in about two days to use the cat box. They like to cover their poop. The only time my cat dares to poop on the floor is when they think their litter box is too full. Which is virtually never.

Years later, she and I go see a band she’s always loved. Back to my place after—she has a 2 hr drive home and she’s been drinking. I was sober. I tell her to call her wife and stay at my place. She says she can’t because she doesn’t trust herself to be “with me”. Then proceeds to tell me she slashed his tires in order to cause us more financial problems so we’d move her in. And she’s always been in love with me. HE was right all along. She drove home. I’ve not spoken to her since.
Actually, I sent condolences when her mom died. Because I’m not a monster. And her mom was super sweet. She tried because she thought the door was cracked open. Nope.

As a teenager I was at a party with my homegirl at the time. I became sick and was in the bathroom barely conscious and she abandoned me to go party. I was told later she was talking bad on my name too. I was alone until some woman who I didn’t know found me and took care of me the rest of the night. I was at risk of as**ult and who knows what else but my best friend’s priority was having a good time. That woman who didn’t know me showed me more love that night than my best friend of many years.

We were allowed to skip some classes to attend the funeral of a classmate and my “friend” thought it was a good time to roll their eyes and huff and puff about how long it was taking. They were on their phone the entire time or complaining under their breath about the rituals. It was clear they only came to get out of going to class. I have a friend who was pretty much "banned" from the local doctor's office as a teenager because she would go there too often for made-up injuries. She just loved wearing wrist/ankle braces so that people felt sorry for her and gave her attention and sympathy. Had a friend at school fake illness. I have a degenerative disease since birth and she hated that I got extra attention and special treatment so wanted the same. The extra attention BTW was make up classes during lunchtime as I'd missed 3 weeks due to a hospital stay and the special treatment is not having to do certain sport and stay inside on very cold wet days. Her poor mum took her to so many doctors and specialist. Last I heard she was in court for lying about her ex abusing their daughter, all so she could get the sympathy.

Had a “friend” of 7 years make fake profiles and try to buy feet pictures off my friends and I. He also disguised a photography project to try and get feet photos from his female friends. This went on for a whole year until he sent money to one of my OF creator friends and they found out who the “anon” account was.
He tried denying it to me while simultaneously yelling at the friend who outed him.
He worked as a photographer at a dance studio where women didn’t wear shoes also..

That my severe post partum was just me "trying to get attention" because my former friend just lost her boyfriend so she had no one but herself because she pushed everyone way due to the horrible man she was dating.. but no her excuse to downplay my post partum was that I have a son and family so my depression "shouldn't matter" and i should magically be "less depressed."

I had sat and listened to her many tales of woe - loss of sibling, loss of parents, lack of trust in her partner who was flirting with some random woman, hated her job....oh the list went on and on......I guess while she was the centre of attention it was fine but when I started focussing on my own wellbeing then things turned ugly.....

I considered her my best friend, sleepovers, birthdays together, nights out, heart to hearts for hours etc. Years later, he and I split (quietly) and when she found out about it, not only did she not check in on me, she only reached out to him and made moves on him. Oh my this one channels my life. She'd only met him a few times but made it clear she thought he was yummy. A few weeks after we broke up (he did some nasty things to end it), I saw a text from him on her phone. That's when I realized she'd been "comforting" him and she ended up moving in with him. Yeah, that friendship didn't last.

- lied about her age
- scammed people out of loads of donations claiming they were for animal rescue and flood relief
- lied that both her parents had died
- lied about being from a marginalised caste
- made up having stage IV breast cancer
- faked her own death, with a fake obituary and everything, when she realised that people were onto her.
Turned out she was 19 not 27, was healthy and alive, living with both her parents.

There was a woman who ran a dog rescue facility many years back. She would hold 'open days' that didn't mean people could come and see the animals, oh no it was an 'opportunity' for people to don work clothes - clean the kennels, mow lawns and CLEAN HER D**N HOUSE. She was always online asking for donations ($ preferred) to help with the mortgage. However, turns out that not only was she was using the money for her and her deadbeat son to live on because they couldn't get jobs, there were also no dogs being rescued and the ones that had been there months earlier had either been turned into the local pound or PTS. She stopped letting people on the property which confused a few of the cult members (whoops I mean her followers) and eventually the whole story unfolded. She didn't own the property, and the landlord had no idea what she was doing. On days when the working bees occurred would be closely followed by real estate inspections and the dogs all relocated for the duration.

Had a friend of 10 years+. She was in school, I had work so we would see each other in the summertime. Started neglecting me for her college “friends” who did nothing but stress her out and put her in drama. One night, I didn’t wanna be here anymore & in a desperate attempt to get support, called her. I legit think there should be a class on common sense lol I wished they would also bring back home economics. I teach my kids alot at home with cooking, sewing and so forth but that class was amazing. Also a class that teaches basics on car maintenance. They shoukd have both classes and be mandatory

She got pregnant to her tinder bf within 3mo and lied to his face whenever she threw up from HG that she was 'sick'. When she had it terminated (it's legal where I live so I'm not entertaining thoughts on someone else's body and choices) she put the bleeding on her period. Was friendly with my next door neighbor. We were watching their house while they were out of town. Asked if they'd be comfortable watching ours. They agreed. Around a week before our trip, she comes to the door stumbling over her words as to why they couldn't watch our home. Something about her mom being sick, she was, and something about spouse's work. They just didn't have time. OK, don't worry about it. My kid agreed to come over, but hoped to arrive daily around 10. We have dogs, so I called neighbor to ask if they could just let them outside in the morning? Hubby neighbor called and shouted at me. Said they just can't handle our dogs. I would not have thought less of her had she just said that. Not telling me the truth, then getting triggered by getting shouted at. It's been 6 years and I can't bring myself to forgive and move on. As stated above, I h8 liars. Especially when the lie causes unnecessary drama

i use to help her with her flea market vendor booth. or drive to her apt 45 mins from my house to help her with stuff for the market. but when i needed her help taking care of my animals she said it was too far (but she didnt have a priblem with me driving that far). but one day i was to meet her at the market. after 30/mins she still hadnt shown i asked anither vendor if thwy had seen her. said shed been gone about 30/mins when i got there. she never told me shed already left when i confronted her she said she didnt have time to let me know. i told her unless her car was giing down thw road without anybody in it she could have texted 7 letters (not there) it would have taken less than 30 seconds. endwd the friendship that day. she was just using me. there are otger things ahe did but that pushed me over the edge
