Pretty sure the first foot was photoshopped to make this look like a 'perfect timing' shot. There's no heel, the lines are hard and not blended with the fur, and you can see the foot down on the ground underneath the 'toes'.

That fawn is actually hiding. It has been left their by it mother and will keep really low and not move. That way it is less likely to be predated than if it was trailing around with mum.

It's wonderful seeing the underside of a fox paw. They have very thick hair on their feet which is why you don't hear them when they are walking. I had a fox who would follow me around where I lived. Literally right behind me or next to me and you wouldn't hear them. Absolutely silent.

I love hedgehogs. They’re awesome. Our dog was always confused by them though. It has pointy ends and it doesn’t run away. It just rolled up in a ball which confused him even more.

We have 2 hummers that hang out at our house...all year long. We also have 2 feeders; you'd think that would be enough but no, they fight over the feeders...all year long. If the feeders get too low they do pair up to hover in front of our living room window to let us know they need more nector. Smart little buggers.

It's a platypus. I NEVER hear anything about hem. If I hadn't heard o them early in life as a real animal, I would think they were fictional. I have never heard them mentioned even in a book, much less in a childrens book..where, as we know, children see any more features o animals than humans.

A lot of things about "unusual animals" have pictures of poseable dolls, even ones that are very clearly fictional (I've seen the gryfaun doll making rounds, and other obviously fantastical creatures). I still remember my art teacher several years ago showing me a fennec fox doll and asking "Wouldn't this be so cute to have as a pet?", and I didn't have the heart to tell her it was a doll.

Actually possums ARE very lovable. I had a friend who owned one from the time it was only a few weeks old. Dawdles loved to sit at a small table and eat her breakfast and then sit on the dashboard of my friend's big truck and keep her company as she drove for hours on end. When they open their mouths and show you all their teeth it's a scare tactic....

I love them too! After my first communion, a million years ago, I got an opossum mom with babies on her back! (Stuffed animal) I loved it! Also worked at an animal clinic and a girl I worked with found an abandoned baby and would bring it in the clinic, so adorbs!!!

Very misunderstood. Not a cleaning crew but more often than not the real predator. They kill around 3/4 of the animals they eat (zebra, buffalo, etc.). Other predators like lions tend to chase them and steal their prey once the work is done, and the hyenas come back later to eat the scraps. In fact, hyenas kill more preys than lions.

Hate to disagree, but this little cutie is very much alive and having fun. This is how they play when they are bonded to their human. My parrot (4 y.o. Senegal) lays on his back, eyes closed, waiting for me to give him kisses and cuddles.

Can confirm this is how rabbits work. My rabbit is a Netherland dwarf (super tiny, much fluff) and once, he got super dirty so I had to give him a bath and his actual body was like 1/3 of the size he looks when he’s dry and fluffy. (And don’t worry, he’s not underweight. He’s perfectly healthy and he always has food. Plus he gets treats all the time. Tbh I’m surprised he isn’t overweight)

If anyone wish to know it is a English lop rabbit, their ears are very huge and long. Honestly not really recomended to have outside on muddy days. It seems to be a young rabbit on the picture so still growing.

The mothers regularly leave the fawns behind for some time, but they will return. The worst you can do is pick an 'abandoned' fawn and thus removing a perfectly fine fawn from a distressed mother. If in doubt you can monitor the situation for a few hours from a distance or call the authorities in charge for advice.

Deer aren't actually stupid. They're only fooled by inanimate objects for a couple of minutes. That's why the "3D Buck" sculptures only keep deer from munching on your garden for a day. As far as this fawn is concerned, they're hunkered down next to a log and not an archery target.

There is no limit, for people to enjoy animals, even if I am, trying to get dishes done, or whatever needs doing, when I see post like this, all is put on hold, but a priority, in this case, thanks B.P. we all need the cuteness, to put a smile on our face, and warm our hearts, helps make life easier, besides the pandemic, most of us have stress, animals warm our hearts, thanks B.P.
