50 Times People Saw Such ‘Cursed’ Images, They Just Had To Share Them In This Online Group
While you and I are scratching our heads trying to come up with a solid definition of a cursed image, there’s a huge online community on Reddit dedicated to exactly that.
Titled “Cursed Images,” this online group believes that it has to be the spirit of the image. “If the image causes confusion, eeriness, or dread, the spirit of an image is fulfilled,” and it gets documented and shared on the community with 1.5M members.
So today we wrapped some of the most confusion and eeriness-inducing examples shared on the Cursed Images group, so upvote the best of the worst ones!

First job ever. Watched the electrician go all through our warehouse with a younger guy following him everywhere with a 2x4. As I was only a kid, I eventually got the courage to ask. “Why’s he following you and then just standing like that?” Electrician looked me dead in the eyes, “He’s my apprentice. If I stop whistling while I’m working, he’s there to break the circuit.” That’s when I realized I never wanted to be an electrician. The younger guy just nodded, and told me “It’s the only way to save him.”

I've seen my dad blown across the room holding a pair of melted pliers, survivable. When your body leaves a shadow of itself (think Hiroshima bomb), you can assume it was probably fatal and potentially nothing but char remaining. Unless some AH spray painted his feet like people leave red warnings under carpet to imitate gruesome crime scenes as a prank, I hope this person is resting in peace. They deserve it. RIP Sparky...

Know Your Meme defines a cursed image as “a type of picture and photograph on the internet that are generally seen as disturbing to the viewer, typically due to the poor photo quality or content within the image that is abnormal or illogical.” The origins of the term online can be traced back to 2015, when cursed images served as an inspiration for many social media accounts devoted to posting various cursed images, subreddits, and other communities.
The fact that cursed content still remains relevant and very popular today can be mind-blowing. After all, the “Cursed Images” subreddit, which was formed back in 2016, amassed an astounding number of members – more than 5 million. The rules of the community are pretty strict and it seems like the moderators do a great job of making sure the content meets the community’s guidelines.

This is known as an amputation, btw, because those big white globs are destroyed soft tissue. You ain't coming back from that with more than maybe 30-40% use if it goes perfectly and you have excellent surgeons and they find ALL the pieces of your bone to fuse them back together. I was about to say the same thing...too much soft tissue damage to salvage likely no blood flow left either...I've only ever personally seen snowblower vs metatarsal/phalanges never an arm in a wood-chipper ffs!?! This is a statue in the Paris catacombes called "Le Passe-Muraille" (the 'passer-trough-walls'). In fact there are many of them. It's a reference to a short story written in 1941 by french author Marcel Aymé, about a man who has the ability... well, to pass trough walls :-) There's a 1951 movie adaptation of the same name with Bourvil playing the titular character.
Moreover, cursed images can evoke a vast array of different emotions. For example, “people may find humor or a sense of irony in the absurdity of these images, which can make them memorable and shareable.” Having said that, Laura added that these types of images may not be universally liked and that personal taste and cultural background can play a significant role in how they are perceived.

This reminds me of the time I was taking a shower in a campground shower house, and the kid in the next shower stall kept peeping at me, exactly like this. I put a bunch of extra shampoo in my hair, made a huge amount of bubbles and was waiting for her. When she peeped at me again I threw it at her and it hit her right in the face like a merengue pie. 😂She stopped peeping after that.

Congenital anomaly. This is an 11 year, 8 month old girl with Supernumerary teeth. 82 teeth were found. Some rooting up into sinuses. Genetic testing was done to look for a possible syndrome associated with this. IDK what they found or how this was treated.

In the early days of WWII, officials in England were expecting that chemical weapons would be used in air raids on civilian targets. That ended up not happening, but everyone was issued a gas mask, and parents/schools/nurseries were told to have kids practice wearing them, so they wouldn't freak out during a real attack. They had them for all ages; the ones for babies were basically a bag you stuck the whole child in. (There were gas masks for pets, too, but those weren't government issue; you had to buy them.)

It's not easy to lose weight that's definitely true, but I'd argue it's not easy to get to that point of obesity either. Surely you'd have to be actively trying to avoid activity....or be on a crapton of medications with weight gain side effects...for it to get to this point.
