I may dream of having such a place and I'I've been commenting around here I'd love to live in such a space, but realistically speaking I'd need more time and money than I do to afford all this, because upkeeping so many plants in such a space is tedious. I live in the countryside, in a single house, and just tending to the garden during spring, summer and fall is backbreaking, while also having a 9-to-5 and my art practice. Climbing every week or a few days to water potted plants..... yeahhhh, no. Unless I'd have the money for a maid. Which I most definitely don't.

People don't realize how gross and annoying chickens are. We had chickens for 10 years. They destroy everything, poop everywhere and get themselves into stupid scrapes. They also fight frequently if there isn't a rooster to keep them in line. AND if there is a rooster you have to keep a close eye on that a***hole because he will mess you up if he gets a chance.

They look lovely, but to be honest, I would not like to eat that kind of chocolate (and not only because it's too beautiful, I would at least have to close my eyes to not feel like I'm trying to eat soap ) and that's why would probably not give it as a present if I wasn't totally sure they liked unusual food experiences. Gorgeous, but an occupational therapist’s nightmare. Rugs and mats, trip hazards the lot of them. If you’ve not had a long debate with a stubborn 90 year old about why their toilet mat isn’t a good idea when you use a Zimmer frame, you’ve not lived. I say NO! The stairs color pops out when you see the stairs. If you paint the walls, the color will not pop as much. Please get proper advice about what color to paint the walls, so the green of the stairs still pop when seeing them.

This is the first time I've wished the internet existed when I was young. As a teenager in the 80s, I was really into this aesthetic. I didn't have a name for it; I just thought of it as Victorian or English Country style. I was the only young person I knew who was into this, and I got teased a lot. I would have loved to have an online social group to get support and inspiration from similar people!

I love to sew, cook and relax in a country setting. Always have. The plants and flowers are magnificent, and the animals all have a place in the grand scheme of things. I am a very masculine, straight, male, and I always did these things. I never cared what others thought about it, and I have some VERY useful skills as a result. Sewing means you can make your own clothes, quilts, leather goods, etc. Flowers and plants means you can feed and heal yourself. And living there means you can truly relax without the need for artificial means.

So many beautiful things. Cottagecore isn't exactly my style so I wouldn't want to wear it or have it in my house in bigger amounts, but I enjoy watching the pics and inspirations nonetheless. I'd love to see another post like this about dark/light academia style.

this style has been around forever. Flowers have been around forever and this is not the first time since your grandma that this aestetic bumps up. Some of these things called this name are literally taken from the eighties. Its nothing new. Still cute. /old yelling woman rant over lol
