It's "freedom" a gelatinous, vague description for an American that makes white Christian conservatives feel warm and fuzzy (particularly male, particularly the don't tread on me crowd, but their wives are equally ignorant c***s). "Freedom" lovers yall hear so much about are vile, chronically stupid, self defeating, hypocrite Republicans who p**s actual freedom away every single election.

I know plenty of Muslim, Sikh, Hindu etc people who not only have no problem saying Merry Christmas, but also celebrate it themselves. Christmas is unavoidable when you live in a western country which has a Christian heritage (UK) so have taken the "if you can't beat them, join them" attitude. No. Firstly, a change in a system of government does not typically alter whether a political entity continues to be recognized as a nation or state under international law. The key criteria for statehood are generally defined by the 1933 Montevideo Convention, which requires a permanent population, a defined territory, a government, and the capacity to enter into relations with other states. The form of government is not one of these criteria. Secondly, you don't understand the 1911 Acts overall significance. Totally plausible. I have personally had to teach junior doctors how to use a tape dictaphone, including the fact you have put a tape in. The technology has moved so fast, all the stuff from when I was a kid is generations of obsolence removed from kids' experience today. And that's not a criticism; not many kids when I was small could have worked a reel-to-reel tape recorder. You can't blame children for not knowing technology that nobody's used the entire time they've been alive.

No, it hasn't. The actual word "Britain" is itself relatively new, having previously been "Britannia" and before that "Prettani" (which we do know because the Greeks wrote it down), but it doesn't specifically refer to anything at all, because ever since Ptolemy's day the larger island has been "great" or "major Britannia" and Ireland was "little Britannia". Of course, I understood what you were trying to say, which was that the British Isles (or Anglo-HIbernian Islands) were formed after the last Ice Age, but "Britain" is a colloquialism.

As for the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, by any definition, a war involving more than one kingdom is not a civil war.
