6 Years Clean Today
That is what getting clean/sober will do for you XD I'm coming up on 6 years clean myself, and 43 and definitely don't look it - I'm not trying to say I look GOOD or attractive, mind you - I have a gigantic forehead, frizzy hair, and a derp face, but I don't look my age since I've gotten clean XD

My Hotel Room Cleaner Made Me A Towel Animal, And Over The Next Weeks He Left Them There Until It Became A Towel Zoo
I was staying in the Hilton hotel in Riyadh for several weeks for work, and my hotel room cleaner from Nepal left me a towel animal. I left him a note asking if he could leave it there the next time he cleaned my room, and he did. And over several weeks the collection kept growing until the day I checked out. Such a nice highlight to my extended stay and I left him a little hamper of snacks and a tip to say thank you (there was actually at least six more animals he made but they slowly lost their shape over time).
My family has a housecleaning service and we literally bought a how-to book on towel animals for our employees XD We don't do it all the time or in all our houses (because it CAN get obnoxious, and a lot of customers don't want you randomly folding their personal towels into teddy-bears) but we usually fold turkeys around Thanksgiving and rabbits around Easter, etc! XD

I Took My Dad To The Match Fulfilling A 20+ Year Promise
OP said that she's wanted to go to a Gold Cup soccer match with her dad since she was 7 or 8 years old, but her dad unfortunately passed away 4 years ago before they could fulfill their shared dream. She got the opportunity to go this year and brought her dad with her as best she could :) I'll be doing the same thing with some of my dad's ashes - gonna go on a road trip to Parker, Arizona, where we used to go on vacation every summer when I was a kid. We had to stop once my parents bought the family business, because my parents were too busy for vacations, and then his accident happened. I'll be taking some of his ashes with me to Parker soon :)

I have a leap day wedding. Great .... you only need gifts every 4 years! (But they better be good!)

My Dad's Response To My Dog's Cancer Recurrence
Having a supportive family is the best. You're supported and Kaylee is nurtured by your family.
Agreed. My family was the opposite and it was AWFUL. My GSD was diagnosed with mammary tumors (basically the dog version of breást cancer) when she was 12, and my mom acted like her cancer was contagious. She kept trapping her on the side of the house (where she could bleach the floor easily) when I wasn't at home, and wouldn't touch her or pet her. It was horrible - I was already going through so much emotional pain knowing I'd have to euthanize her soon (she was too old for effective treatment) and my mother was telling me to "kíll her before she makes the rest of us sick and we catch it too".

My Outdoor Cat Was Missing For 5 Years And He Came Back
I could never let my baby outside, this is what I'm scared of (along with him getting hurt, or sick, or someone taking him...)
Yes!! Back in the 90s, my neighbors stole my childhood cat when they moved :( My mom never let my pets come in the house, and I used to be terrified that Kaz (my cat) would get eaten by a coyote (I live in SoCal.) He had a collar and ID tag, and everyone in the neighborhood knew him because he was super friendly and snuggly and would walk up to strangers for scritches XD Then my neighbors retired and moved to the east coast, and Kaz disappeared around the same time. I freaked out and cried for WEEKS, checking the streets and gutters for his body, etc. until a letter came addressed to me (no return address, of course): "We are very sorry, but we loved Kazzy SO MUCH that we couldn't imagine not having him around, so we took him with us! Sorry!" Two grown-áss adults knowingly stole an 11-year-old child's cat. I was devastated. Now, I just hope they loved him and gave him a good life :( ALL my cats are indoors cats now.

Did you know that it has been proven that people are more likely to share bad news online than positive stories? This is because when something’s shocking, unbelievable, or depressing, it automatically feels more “share-worthy,” and is bound to spread faster than warm and fuzzy content.

Jeff And Baby Jeff
When I took Lucanis into the vet last week, the poor vet tech struggled with his name when she first tried to call us up (she said "Lucius" and then "Louis" - it's pronounced "Loo-con-iss" but I don't expect people to know that, since it's a video game character, lol.) I said, "just call him Woo-woo, that's what I call him 99% of the time" XD (Lucanis -> Woocanis -> Woo-woo.) I rarely call any of my pets by their ACTUAL names - most of the time they get called a silly nickname XD The techs have also struggled with my dogs' names, Stilgar and Fenring (both characters from my favorite book) - now they now it's really "Stilly" and "Dingus" XD

A Museum Being Incredibly Wholesome To A Child
There’s actually a science behind why we find ourselves on social media for hours on end, and a lot of it comes down to doomscrolling. Recognized as a compulsive habit, this behavior is often motivated by an intense urge to feel safer and more in control by constantly staying in the know. Over time, doomscrolling can cause more anxiety, stress, and even make us feel more depressed than usual.

My Mom Who Has Hardly Ever Touched A Game Before Sent Me This Out Of Nowhere
This is beautiful. I've tried asking my mum to play games with me so many times but she always refuses; I think she thinks that it was "Dad's domain". I can't convince her that no, we don't need to play the same games Dad and I did; I'd just like another way to spend time with her. 🥲

Random Act Of Kindness
OP said on Reddit: "Last night I had to leave my car at the park because my tire had a nail in it… and my spare did too (🙃). This morning I went back with a new tire, only to find that someone had plugged my spare, filled it with air, and even left me this note. My bumper sticker says 'Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty,' so this felt extra full circle."
