Inside Out. "Kids" Movies Have The Best Details In My Opinion
I was never expecting my 9 yo to be sobbing so hard with an animated film. Tbh, many adults were teary-eyed too.
My husband is a counselor at a mental health hospital and they use this movie SOO much.
Another thing I noticed about this movie is that Reilly's parents emotions are all the same gender as they are, which implies then, as Reilly's are a mix, that she could be gender fluid or something, just a theory
According to the writer, the emotions are a mix as a child because of how diverse the childhood mind is-they become the same gender as they get older.

Upon Returning Williams Said That The Movie Needed A Better Composer Than Him To Which Spielberg Replied "I Know, But They're All Dead."
"I know, but they're all dead!" WOW! That's both hysterically funny and spot-on at the same time!!!!
John Williams is the greatest film composer of all time. He is probably my second favorite (Thomas Newman is my favorite) but he is extraordinary, we won’t see another like him.
I've been a fan of John William's score since back to the days he went by "Johnny Williams".
It was an honor and a treat to see him conduct the Boston Pops. He is a legend.
In The End Credits Of Mr. Popper’s Penguins (2011), It Is Confirmed That While No Penguins Were Harmed During The Making Of The Movie, Jim Carrey Was Not So Fortunate
I must have completely missed this movie or blocked it out from my brain.
Good. I've read he's a total d**k. Hope it hurt and they drew blood lol.
I do like Jim Carrey. I've liked him ever since "Once Bitten". Yeah, Lauren Bacall did a vampires in Beverly Hills movie. He's an excellent physical comedian.
One underrated part of learning more and more movie easter eggs is that you can mildly amuse (or annoy) someone watching something for the first time. In some cases, this behavior has become so common that it actually spawns its own memes.
For example, fans of the second Lord of the Rings film, the Two Towers, will generally bombard new viewers with the fact that actor Viggo Mortensen broke a toe in real life when he kicked a helmet on screen. His cry of pain is completely real and the director, Peter Jackson decided to simply leave it in the film.
Michael Palin Came Up With The Idea To Use Coconuts In Monty Python And The Holy Grail (1975) Because The Film Couldn't Afford To Use Actual Horses
It would not have been as great if they had used horses!
Load More Replies...Stupid funny. Love it. So many quotes from this movie are great. "Minor flesh wound."Bring out the dead." "1,2,5... 3 Sir!". The list can go on...
The german title of the movie even translates to "Knights of the coconut"
I think I heard they couldn't afford actors either. I'm not being mean - like - I think a lot of the extras were locals, relatives, whoever they could get.
Yeah. In the movie commentary, they said pretty much everyone in the final battle that almost happens, are just anyone from town who wanted to hang out with Monty Python.

In Die Hard (1988), Alan Rickman’s Petrified Expression While Falling Was Completely Genuine. The Stunt Team Instructed Him That They Would Drop Him On The Count Of 3 But Instead Dropped Him At 1
Rip. He made a good villain but it's a pity he didn't get more good guy roles.
My tandem parachute guy did that to me also. I guess so many people grab on to the door frame tightly, he pushed us both out at "2"! (at 11,000 feet!)
Well now we know why he is so cold n bitter as Snap 👀 mistrust in everyone around him
For goodness sake! The man was an actor. He was hired to perform, and this included acting surprised! Let the actors do their job.
It's actually well documented that he was scared of heights and he was pushed early! It's genuine fear on his face!

I would think that in the actual "Old West" there were people with all sorts of accents.
I love the actors who are so well known in serious roles doing comedy (when they do it well). It's also great when you see behind the scenes stuff and they look like they're just having a blast doing it too. Lance Reddick (the concierge from John Wick among others) is another one who has done the most stupid animated comedy (Paradise PD and Farzar) but sounds like he had fun doing it.

Given the practical effects and frequent stunts, it might not be surprising to learn that most actors in the Lord of the Rings films suffered at least some kind of injury. After he wanted Miramax to cut the trilogy down to one film (and all that other stuff) before a deal was made and New Line Cinema rescued the epic saga.
I can't believe his conviction was overturned. What a vile disgusting human being. He's set to be released NEXT WEEK on May 1st. Abusers like him should spend the rest of their lives in prison.
Weinstein looks like he fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. And he is much much uglier inside.
Of course Harvey Weinstein didn't like LOTR; the moral of the movie wasn't "she just needs to get laid," like most Weinstein movies.
In Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets (2002), Lucius Malfoy Slaps Draco's Hand Onto His Cane. Jason Isaacs Didn't Know There Were Small Fangs On The Top, So Tom Felton's Pain Was Genuine
But in the book/movies.. a whole different story!

Even the actors had to make things up just to make it better
The dedication anyone in the entertainment industry gives for the art and ultimately for our entertainment just amazes me sometimes. It's not forgotten, and it's appreciated. I thank you all.
When Harry was using floo powder. And accidentally ended up in Knockturn alley inside Borgan & Burke's, and hid himself when he saw Lucius and Draco come in. In general, filmmaking is such a massive and collaborative process that it’s no wonder that all of these creatives combined start to add their own little details. After all, from costumes, to props and sets, most background details are hand-made somewhere. Once you include the writers, director, actors and the hundreds of others involved, there is a lot of space to hide something interesting.
In The Truman Show (1998), The Identical Twins Are Played By Ron And Don Taylor, Two Police Officers Who Were Working On The Set As Security Guards
Director Peter Weir saw how friendly they were with the film's cast and crew, so he hired them as actors.
Just curious, but were rhyming names ever and issue in childhood? Seems like mom calling for "Ron' could be heard as "Don" and so on.

In Thor: The Dark World (2013), Natalie Portman Couldn't Make It To Reshoot The Final Kiss Scene. When Asked To Choose From A Lineup Of Women To Take Her Place. Chris Hemsworth Instead Brought In His Wife , Who Wore Natalie's Clothes And Wig To Shoot The Final Kiss
I’m not A-list actor, or an actor, or an A-list anything, but I think I’d be extremely uncomfortable with being given a list of actresses and being told to pick which one should be hired for a job, based on who I want to do a kiss scene with.
Right? Wouldn't the logical recourse be to have a casting director pick the most suitable lookalike? I mean, what does the actor's preference have to do with it?

why "mr. toad"? because todd williams owned a winery in healdsburg, ca (sonoma county). called "toad hollow winery". in the movie, "9 1/2 months" co starring robin williams, it was used in the opening scene. good wine and is still owned by his widow.

Don Bluth. Same guy who did American Tail, Land Before Time, All Dogs Go to Heaven, Secret of NIHM. Him and a bunch of other animators rebelled against Disney and ran off to form their own studio. Sadly Titan A.E. was a massive flop and it killed the studio twenty years ago or so. The House of Mouse will accept no competition.
I still can't believe Titan AE flopped. It's still one of my favorites, just watched it again a couple months ago
Load More Replies...the BOOK 'the rats of NIHM', is absolutely wonderful! the movie is HIDIOUS. my 5 year old daughter tried to watch it, told me she wanted to return it because it was terrible and nothing like the story. i told her they didnt take returns on open dvds, but she insisted. i told her she had to do the attempted return, which she did with aplomb. when the clerk told her no, she requested to speak with the store 'owner' (manager) and explained her feelings to him. he promptly returned her money.
I'm still not over the fact that Anastasia is actually NOT a Disney movie.
The Fellowship Of The Ring (2001). The Script For Sean Bean's Council Of Elrond Speech Was Rewritten The Night Before Filming
Bean taped his lines to his knee so he could read them when needed. Some of the characters frustrated expressions in the scene are actually the actor glancing at his lines.
Depending on just how last minute the changes were, sometimes it’s damned near impossible if you don’t have a photographic memory. So I don’t blame him for having some personal “cue cards” taped to his leg.

In the movie Slap Shot (Paul Newman), the late Paul D'Amato played Tim (Dr. Hook) McCracken, known for his bloody skills with a hockey stick.
Titanic - 1997 The Couple Shown In Bed Together Having Accepted Their Fate Is Isador And Ida Straus. They Were The Co Owners Of Macy’s. Ida Refused To Leave His Side When He Refused A Life Boat Spot B/C There Were Still Women And Children On Board. They Were Last Seen Walking Arm And Arm Together
Ida and Isadore would have been a MUCH better choice for the actual protagonists of that movie.
The reason I don’t like the movie Titanic, like from less than 30 minutes into watching it in the theatre when it came out (unpopular opinion, I know, but hear me out), is that there were so many real stories about passengers that were way more interesting than the fictional romance and were totally ignored. In my opinion, the movie would’ve been a true masterpiece if it had told the real stories, and dumped the ludicrous fake romance storyline and its gratuitous nude scene. Plus they did Molly Brown dirty by making her back down when the crew member in her lifeboat told her to sit down because he wasn’t going to go back and collect survivors. Molly was too fierce in real life to back down like some simpering magnolia blossom, and in real life, she grabbed an oar to help row, plus urged the crew to go back and pick up survivors. Hated it when it came out, have consistently refused to watch it ever since.

Adult me realised they only knew each other for about three days, Rose was only 17, they came from very different backgrounds that would likely have caused resentments in the long term, and she was cheating on her fiancé. I get the fiancé was a d**k but still. 😆
I got the sense she was getting into an arranged marriage and didn't actually love that guy. She knew she wasn't happy and wanted to get out of the stuffy life she was in, but her "fiance" and parents kept pulling her in and her fiance gave her that expensive gift. Back then, women didn't have the rights they have now, nor were listened to.
Load More Replies...I've always found movies that portray the victims in those historical tragedies to be insulting to the real victims. Their real lives and that tragedy could have been portrayed meaningfully as the real people they were without the Hollywood 'dramatisation' (read: lies) about their life stories. A very sad and horrible memorial for those victims who deserve better.
From what I've learned, the sinking of the Titanic was far more disturbing in real life than what was portrayed in the movie. There was a powerful current from the suction of the ship that wasn't included in the film. The life boats were being pulled towards the sinking ship, as told by survivors. They feared the boats would be sucked under the water. Although there was some music played at first, there certainly wasn't violinists playing as the ship went down.
Load More Replies...I was appalled by all the teens seeing it repeatedly because they thought it was so romantic. How anyone could watch that level of pain and death and only notice their favorite actor. I was shivering cold for days after it.
We live forever. Our bodies don't but we do. Almost all of us realize that. That's why this scene is so evocative,
Going to the Titanic museum in Belfast really changed my perspective on the film and the tragedy. The whole thing was easily avoidable. Thankfully regulations came about afterwards which have saved many lives since, but you know what they say: safety rules are written in blood.
Fun fact. Men were ordered at gunpoint to stay out of the lifeboats because there were still women and children on board. However, they were still ordered on pain of being shot to stay out of the lifeboat as it was leaving half (and sometimes more than half) empty. It would not be coming back for the women and children still on board, but the men still weren’t allowed in them. Too stupid for words. (There is a great 4 part podcast on the Titanic on The Rest Is History”)
Watching Deadpool 2 (2018) And Noticed A Certain Supreme Court Justice’s Headshot In The Squad Interview Scene. None Other Than Ruth Bader Ginsburg In Consideration For A Spot On X-Force

I used to have a tshirt with this exact premise on! It had Velma with torn clothes and a crossbow, outside the Mystery Machine, altered to say "misery machine". Scooby was on it and looked intimidating, but the MM had "RIP F + D + S" on the side. I think the design was called "we've got work to do now Scoob"

In Jaws (1975), The TV Reporter Is Played By Peter Benchly, The Author Of The Book
many years after her role as the grieving mom who slaps the "chief", the actress was eating in a diner where she noticed an item on the menu with the name of her shark eaten "son". she mentioned that she had played the mother in the movie. the cashier quickly got the owner, a young man. the owner was the boy who played her son! the two had never seen one another after the movie.
Yes, there was a book. Peter Benchly has said he regrets now that he ever wrote it, because it caused so many people to hate and kill sharks.
Load More Replies...His grandfather, the humorist Robert Benchley, was featured in a series of short films based on his writings and also appeared in many movie comedies. His father, Nathaniel Benchley, also wrote several novels that were turned into movies, such as "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming".
"I'm just a man telling a story... that I wrote. I created all of you! Bow before me for I am your God! And now sports with H. Lewis."
I actually prefer the film over the book, though I think both are great. I found the final conflict with the shark in the book to be less climactic, and even if the way the shark died in the film couldn't have happened in real-life (as confirmed by the Mythbusters), the set-up and the amazing music by John Williams (I mean, he always delivers) before Brody goes, "Smile, you son of a—!" satisfied me more overall. Plus, some of those subplots in the book, like Ellen's affair with Hooper and the mafia, felt convoluted.
In Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Han Drops His Parka On The Floor When He Arrives At Starkiller Base
When He Leaves, Chewbacca Hands It Back To Him, And He Reacts With Confusion. This Part Was Improvised By Chewbacca's Actor Joonas Suotamo, Who Went Off Script, Confusing Harrison Ford
The live action and animated television shows are absolutely real star wars though.

Fun fact, and slight spoiler alert: while Perdita does appear in the original book by Dodie Smith, and was indeed a mother dog, she wasn't Pongo's "wife," nor did she give birth to his puppies. That honor belongs to Missus. The book is quite a bit different from the Disney movies - for example, Cruella wasn't a crazed lunatic, but rather was elegant, sophisticated, and coldly calculating - and in my not-so-humble-opinion far superior to them.

Makes sense. If you drive a truck through it it's flattened (like above). So you need to make sure you've got heaps of room in case you need multiple takes. Idk, there's always that one. When I was younger, I was never scared of costumed scary monsters and villains at professional haunted houses, and such. It took approx 100 hours to render each frame in the physics and VFX engine. Meaning every second you see took approx 100 days to render the final copy.
Love this movie. It is accurate except he would’ve spaghettified for years and years until finally being sucked into the hole. Any radio traffic back to the craft would take a long time to get back to the craft even though it looks close. I don’t think it’d be fun to get sucked into a black hole.
Adding on, that’s IF you get past the swirling star debris.

This is one recent Disney movie they really nailed. I'd love to see a sequel if they can maintain the quality. I think this must be a fascinating coincidence. Or perhaps based on fisherman's rumours? The first documented sighting of orcas killing great whites was in 1997, apparently. At least as far as I can find (started to look because I thought this was relatively newly discovered and so was surprised by the 1975 date). I'd love to know for sure.
The boat was originally called Warlock when it was bought for the film. It was changed to Orca, great white sharks only natural predator, just for the film. The first documented sighting in '97, and subsequent ones, especially along the coast of South Africa, are believed to be due to the depletion of deep sea food sources for both predators, most likely by over fishing. This forces both predators to come closer to shore to hunt. Orca also hunt other shark species eg tiger sharks. Once again humans can watch, in vivid colour, what the destruction of natural habitats forces other living creatures to do to survive.
